Updated December 2020 - Unfortunately all events were cancelled in 2020 so I masterminded my own walking challenge... 60 miles of non stop walking along my local railway line. Watch it here - ua-cam.com/video/NL9Aq1JV0uc/v-deo.html
This video is wild!!! I'm watching this pre 9am after watching part one and I'm pumped for the day. You captured the experience well for someone who is wanting to know what to expect next year. I love how you captured the human side of the weekend with yourself and Paul's banter, the other participants and especially the crew/volunteers who couldn't seem to do enough to help and add to the experience. From the shadows I can see you have the same rode mic I use, what camera did you use and have you got any learnings to help me vlog it next year around charging etc? Thanks loads and well done on an epic video!!🥇😎
Thanks Shanebow. I'm delighted that's how you feel. That was the aim, didn't want to make a trailer-esque short clip, wanted to capture what the event was like to actually walk it. I used a Rode Mic, Canon M50 camera and a gorilla pod handle. I don't recommend it though as it was like carrying a dead weight for 100k, my arm was killing. A small point and shoot would get the same result of that's your aim. Good luck with it this year, you won't regret it I promise.
Thank you so much for sharing your incredible story, you have so much to be proud of - your commitment to the training, the fundraising and then to the race itself was so inspiring. Blisters and pain is temporary, but your memories will last a lifetime. You and your family should be so proud. Race to the Tower next year? 🤔😄 I was sorry I didn’t get to see you on the day, but well done anyway- and to Paul too. Brilliant 👍
We're just starting your second video, they're great. Booked in to do the race all in one go in the summer and your video has been really good in getting an idea of what the route is like, and both you and Paul are great company! 😂😂
Well done, watched both vids a couple of times now as well as your prep ones. Great films, and lucky to have a great family supporting you. Think you’ve convinced me to give it a bash for 2020.. at the same time raise some much needed funds for charity in memory of one of my best mates recently passing. Congrats again, outstanding work...
Goodonya. Worthy challenge. I signed up aswell, doing the Tower in 2021. Had to do my own 60 mile walk instead ua-cam.com/video/NL9Aq1JV0uc/v-deo.html Keep up the practice 👍
@@RyanCondon you are very welcome. You have selected an excellent cause to run London for. I have done a couple of sponsored runs over the years and have found it hard to raise money, train and keep the normal household stuff going all at the same time. You are smashing it. Good luck buddy

@@conradburdekin722 Thank you for your support Conrad. 🙌🙏
@ imagine back then you’d have been told you’d be running 100k (with a broken toe), and going mad Zwift races 😂
@conradburdekin722 I'd have called you crazy. 🙈
Congratulations, albeit a couple of years after the event, on a massive achievement.
Well done guys
Cheers Garry. Thanks for watching as well.
