Perfect👍🏻 I appreciate you taking the time for this!!! I remembering you starting to explain it in the live when I asked, and you’re right, that would’ve been a long live feed🤣 you were almost at 2 hours when I joined it! You’re the man Jereme👍🏻

Wishing you and the family peace love and good health from Northern Ireland ✌️❤️🌲🪵🪓🐝👍
Yes you can. I took a 10-10 I had and found a CP70 crank, piston and cylinder kit with the bearings and such, with little modification it works. Had to shave down some of the fins for the 10-10 exhaust to fit but it does.
Bellhopper, this video is of amazing historical value for everyone's Reference Power Saw Library:) Amazing, visuals with the manufactures parts in hand and you shared your years of wisdom of working on them.:) Everyone tell the world about what Bellhopper is doing on his channel, he is providing a free education for all to learn about identification of power saw parts so everyone will save time and money repairing and modifying them:) Bellhopper, by making these videos, it is producing an historical reference library for you and all community's around the world.:) It is also will better help you organize, categorize and label your extensive collection of parts:) God Bless and Protect you and your loving family:)
That was a very informative video. It's amazing how these saws were so much the same but ever so slightly different. Thanks for the time and effort in sharing this information. You forgot to mention you can just swap the covers LOL.
GREAT STUFF! THANKS BELLHOPPER, I JUST HAD A GUY BRING ME HIS MUCH THRASHED/NEGLECTED 10-10S AND A BRAZILIAN 038 SUPER WITH THE FULL WRAP JUNGLE HANDLE BAR. THE 10-10 LOOKS FAIRLY GOOD BUT LIKE THE 038, IT HAS NEVER IN IT'S LIFE BEEN PROPERLY CLEANED. THE 10-10 HAS A NICE 28" BAR, (WHICH IMPRESSED ME) BUT NOW I REALIZE IT WASN'T STOCK. THINK I'LL DO THE 038 FIRST, BUT I'D LOVE TO DO THE 70CC ON THE 10-10, SOUNDS LIKE FUN.
Great video. Beggs the question. Why go through all that ? Just buy the right size saw 1st time. yes I know some are hard to find . Some took 20+years to find , of the 30 macs i have.
Im new to gas saws my friend. Had two stroke motors here and there’s three the years but im finally getting into saws and firewood. Been running and beat the crap out of a Dewlt 60 saw since moving to the woods last few years. Just got a 10-10 looking for all the info I can get It runs well but sometimes doesn’t want ti start. It’s missing bar plates , I have new plugs in order. I ordered what it had In it but not sure if that’s correct one cj6 champion Looking to get her running hood and put a longer bar on it
That was awesome. 1st comment, been watching awhile. I apologize if this is a dumb question. Are McCullochs better than today’s Stihls and Husqvarna? Assuming equal wear and tear.. I just don’t see the interest in rebuilding and saving the other brands like I do these. Thanks God Bless and I’m believing with you for a 100% recovery for your son. PS I have a 1978 Pro Mac 650 from my high school days. It runs decent but I would love for you to go through it someday.
So the best way to deal with this problem is to just buy the size saw you want instead of making a Frankenstein. I guess I could see it if you have a ton of spare parts laying around but me, I'd just look for what I want and buy it. Good information though, there was a bunch I didn't know and now that I do, I definitely will not be making a Frankenstein
Been wanting to get a 10-10. I already got a 610 and a 650, both of those saws are workhorses, love em but I don't mess with them either as far as mods because they run so good just like they are.
Thanks bellhopper very informative video, Is there one of your vids that shows a step by step of removing and replacing the seals on both sides of the 10 series saws cheers Yep I watched the whole video
@@bellhoppersaws would probably be of benefit to a lot of folks especially if you could show it with a saw being assembled and just the seals being replaced on an intact saw.. always found your vids to be of great benefit especially the one for me that means the most was the 10 series piston replacement. I was in hospital at the time undergoing chemotherapy and it gave me something positive to think about. cheers
Thanks for the vid hopper!! Prayers for John also I do have a question? It maybe stupid but worth a shot…. How about will a pm700 cylinder fit on a pm610,650 shell/oil tank? Thinking about it now it may bolt straight on but maybe stroke is different🤷♂️ I don’t have any spare 700 cylinders but thought I would ask… I realise mufflers are different but if the 700 muffler fits why not
Thanks!
Thank you buddy you rock

So much content for the Macs, who thought me putting the wrong cover on the 10-10s would spur this much activity, lol👍🏼👊🏼🔥🧡
