Great video and some great prices, Craig. For my purposes Matter doesn't matter in my setup as Aqara already works with Homekit, Alexa, and Google. It bring nothing to the table and in some cases you actually lose features over what you can do with the Aqara hub/Zigbee device setup. I did order the new Matter switch to check it out, though. Thanks, Craig.
I have some Aqara sensors and the s2 hub and love them. The leak sensors have been a life saver. I hope they bring the U100 kit that has the silver version of the lock to the US (or sell it stand alone) and it’ll be an instant buy for me.

The Hub E1 the cheapest device had a recent firmware upgrade and this supports Matter now. It's good that a company cares still about older products and don't just want to sell you the newest items. Good on for Lumi United Technology for doing this.
If I have philips hue lights and use aqara sensors - will they work togwther out of the box?

I love aqara but the main issue for me is shipping internationally.. aqara specific to country X will not go elsewhere and will show as unavailable if your shipping destination is anything other than country X.. very sad

So I have the temp/humidity sensor and have it connected to my Google home via matter. In the Aqara app it shows the temp in F but in the GH app it shows the temp in C? Any idea how to fix this?
How the heck do you make a video and post it 7/7/23 about Aqara devices and NOT feature the FP2? No sale on it? Of course.

Question (I’ll try to make it brief)…do you know if the Aqara Ethernet hub (plugged into my modem) will save me from having to reset devices, in the event of a power outage, wifi reset, etc? I’ve recently begun switching my lighting to Phillips Hue (in spite of the price tag), specifically because after restarting my router, my hue products were the only lights in the house I didn’t have to reconnect/reconfigure. I’m wondering if using M2 would likewise prevent me from having to redo everything Aqara, like with Hue?

Can you use their smart button without a hub and just use a echo???
There are zigbee smart buttons that can connect to a full size echo that has a hub built in. Not all echos have Zigbee hubs built in. The Aqara sensors can only connect to Aqara hubs.
Do all of the Aqara products require a hub? I’m looking at the motion sensor.
Most of them do. Their camera, doorbell and locks for example don’t. But sensors, other than the new thread one, need hubs. Hope you are doing well.

@CraigsTechTalk yes its installed.It's great to use the front door again. I have been going the gerage for years to avoid having to fumble around with the front door key. The presence sensor has been the most fun figuring out new routines .
