- This is a speedrun of Battleblock Theater by PJ and Mecha Richter from Awesome Games Done Quick 2015. Run starts at 2:30.
AGDQ2015 raised over $1,500,000 for Prevent Cancer Foundation, and is just one of the many charity marathons from Games Done Quick.

This is probably one of the few AGDQ runs I could watch, PAY ATTENTION TO, and not get bored, even after watching it several times
"So do you two want to go over the plot for this game for everybody?"
"...noo" >:V
37:13
@@darkliger269 i'll take this time and add to the list
I would love to see more developers getting in on this. The Behemoth guys were hilarious, and having the composer for the Banjo-Kazooie run was also pretty cool
These are the most fun dev guests I've heard at a GDQ.
"I don't like you, Cancer. You need to stop being cancerous and go die." -One of many highlight quotes from this speedrun. Thus far, I regret not watching this or not being able to watch it when it was live in 2015.
One of the best, if not the best speedrun I've watched ever. It has tons of humor, tricks, great runners, couch guys and of course, the Behemoth guys that are awesome adding even more jokes to an already fantastic run.
someday i'll have all the best moments here (maybe)
37:13 the plot? no.
1:36:20 you're a cheater
2:42:55 the fisics just break *voice starts to break*
2:44:26 nice!
un? ... what?
2:53:01 Dan you're here too, you have to join in
learning that battleblock theater once had boss battles blows my mind. i can't think of what they'd be like but they sound fun... hard to incorporate platformer mechanics like jumping and moving blocks into a traditional "player versus the big guy" boss battle, but i just love imagining what a boss character would look like in this world
"What is the recipe for a butt salad?"
No specific ingredients, you just have to toss it.
These runs and these guys made me buy the game honestly. You guys are awesome and the game companies should be happy that these runners play their games.
Quickly quarterly passing of a day 4: Jack Channington and Christopher Tuckles get in trouble!
This was one of the best highlights of the event to me, hilarious.
Man, how have I never seen this before?! Alright, I'm not a speedrun guy, but this is some of the most entertaining stuff I've seen in a long while. Everything about this is awesome, from the charity to the banter, the insights into the game and development, the game itself, the strats, the skill... It's amazing!
when stamper comes in XD 43:05
Great run, and one of the funniest ones this year!!
Man those Behemoth guys are hilarious
46:00 -- Even better than MAMA!
37:05 Clearly the director of Cats never saw this video
favorite thing that stamper says 1:36:20
SO MUCH TRUE (videogameguru64, not Grue)
i'll take the time and add to my list of cool moments
I liked the hint at the pit people ending near 2:52:02
Btw you can you can find pj in pit people
Mecha Richter too!
Now I feel bad for only having 4 hours in this whimsical game, despite having owned it for a good year.
This was AWESOME to watch! I wish these guys would do more commentary on other runs ;)
02:53:02
I've watched this multiple times over the past couple of years since the run debuted, and I only NOW noticed the voice actor's improvised cancer insult...
"I hate you cancer! You need to stop being so cancerous and go die!"
It's so trite, but lowkey genius. Literally, the issue with cancer is that the growths are cancerous, and the cure is getting the cancerous cells to die.
Well. Freaking. Done.
This is a glorious video. Good job AGDQ and the Behemoth dudes for coming out and supporting the run.
I quote the cutscenes: "Even 'hopeless' has the word 'hope' in it. And if you re-arrange the letters it spells 'peeslosh'."
EDIT: Also, the cats definitely suck.
EDIT: "Do stuff?" is now my plan when I don't have a plan.
EDIT: Hi, Billy Mays here with the new WonderWuzzle! Only 19.95!

The cut scenes are just amazing. The intro to this game is pure gold.
I love watching pj run games
PJ's runs are always the funniest
"They're pink horses, they're pink.....PIG-SHAPED horses" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Broman is having fun :D
HE WAS SHOT THROUGH A BLOCK DAN... EXPLAIN YOURSELF!?!?!?!?
1:01:59 I have never seen the cat do that before.
I watched the run live, had a downloaded recording of it for all these years, have rewatched this numerous times. I can't say I can recall having ever watched one of the cats climb the ladder. Ever, not from playing the game for hundreds of hours, or from this video.
Pardon the 3 year response.
That Takamura reference is from Hajime no Ippo, and it's exactly correct. I see you fam.
“I love every stage, except 8-1”
FUCKEN SAME
Blocks are merely a suggestion
Well, according to Dan at 1:07:30, since there are 320 heads, there are 102,080 unique combinations of heads, excluding duplicate heads (where both players have the same face)
Also - if I remember my probabilities right - if you consider "player1=headA, player2=headB" and "player1=headB, player2=headA" the same combination, you get one half of that (51,040 combos).
Upd: Okay, one more. If we want to find the number of combinations excluding the "reverse" combos I described above, but including the ones with identical heads, we get the formula... let me see... (a+a^2)/2 where "a" is the number of heads overall. So it's 51,360 combos.
Huh, it really does kind of look like Takamura from Hajime no Ippo.
This was awesome. Awesome game, skillful players and a awesome audience.
Possibly the best GDQ run.
ah yes, i have been waiting for this run to be uploaded XD
Incredible run.
😘💖
ITS ACID BUBBLE. NOT POISON BUBBLE.
Really good run, shame about the technical difficulties. One thing I will say, is that I don't think it was healthy that every time Stamper used his Narrator voice there was a round of applause. Got a bit annoying.
2:05:54
Nailed it.
