Thank you so much! I have decided on the k250 but wasn't sure exactly how to use the my k cup... Great video showing others the process! So excited for my kCup to arrive in the mail!!! happy holidays!
I can see you using a lot of coffee grinds. With my older standard coffee maker, I use 1 table spoon of coffee grind and now i have to use 2 table spoons for the same favor. But my older standard coffee maker cheated a little bit though. Its permanent filter couldn't filter out all the coffee and I ended up having some coffee grind at the bottom of my cup. Probably that adds up the favor.
I have some old K-Cups that would no longer work in the new Keurig 2.0 machine (Old Brewer has a leak). I just purchased the filter that's in this video and now I can use my old K-cups. I simply remove the foil off the old K-cup and pour the grounds into the reusable coffee filter. Better then throwing out 4 boxes of Tea at $15.00 a box!
Third Street Kitchen...thank you SO MUCH for making this video. I was trying to use the My K-Cup 2.0 with my 2.0 Keurig this morning and could not figure it out....I thought I had a bum Keurig but really I was just being a dumb dumb! HAHA. Super helpful video. Thank you, thank you!
I noticed in this video she had the red re-usable coffee filter in the Keurig unit already, but not sure if it actually was compatible with her Keurig? I have the Keurig 2.0 K-400 and had a reusable red filter from an older Keurig that I had, but when I put this filter into the 2.0 K400 I get the message "this pack was not designed for this". Am I only able to use this 2.0 re-usable filter or K-cup for this one?
did you notice a difference using the official keurig filter and the non-keurig refillable filters? do they both leave some sediment in the bottom of the cup? i've noticed some sediments in my cup using non-keurig filter and also using a non-keurig cocoa kcup. the sediment doesn't bother me that much but was curious if the keurig filter does a better job.
+Peter Null It wont, you have an older model, not the 2.0 units. Your is still a perfectly good machine that uses all of the commercial k cups out there , but when it comes to refillable ones, you need one like thiswww.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/product/ekobrew-stainless-steel-elite-reusable-cup-for-keurig-reg-k-cup-reg-brewing-system/1041896341?Keyword=Keurig orwww.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/product/eco-fill-reg-4-pack-single-serve-coffee-filter/1042880769orwww.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/product/perfect-pod-eco-fill-2-0-single-serve-filter/1043512249
How did you get the machine to pop up that menu? I called Keurig and they said the Kcup 2.0 and the Keurig K250 doesn't allow that to happen? They said I have to either buy the next up machine, or buy the disposable K-Mug pods.
What is the deal with the K200 "Plus" brewers that stopped allowing us to select a brew type (such as carafe or travel mug?) My Girlfriend has a newer oasis colored K200 Plus and doesn't have these six options. My slightly older black colored K200 allows me to choose between all six options after inserting the My K-Cup reusable pod. Any thoughts as to why? I contacted Keurig customer service and they claim that the My K-Cup is not compatible with the carafe, ignoring the fact that the options exist on my brewer, as they do on yours.
Third Street Kitchen It appears so! I have NO idea what the difference is, as both machines are K200. The oasis colored K200 is a "Plus" model but I thought that only meant because there are a lot more colors available now. Besides that, my black brewer and the oasis colored brewer are absolutely identical. Except for the fact about what happens when you insert the My K-Cup! We're somewhat upset about this, especially because Keurig continues to deny that the My K-Cup had any functionality for carafe or travel mug brewing....totally discrediting the proof about how it indeed works in my black K200.
i have one of the oasis k200 2.0 and there is a carafe and mug setting. it says so on the box. you have to use kmug or k-carafe pods though or use something to fool the machine. you spoke to a rep who didn't know what they were talking about.
***** Well when I talked to the representative I was talking about the My K-Cup reusable filter pod. As I said, in my K200 black machine it works great, I get six brew settings that each have different cup (or carafe) brewing sizes within each setting. This is how it is supposed to work, but for some reason on the newer K200 Plus Oasis colored brewer, it is not giving me these six brew settings. All you can do is a cup from 4 to 10 ounces. No travel mug sizes available and no carafe sizes available. I'm betting that it would actually work properly with a K-Carafe Pod, but that's not what I was asking about. I was asking about Keurig's very own usable filter pod that works perfectly on my black Keurig.
I have the same Keurig that you have. At least visually. But for some reason I don't have half the settings you have on your menu. Is there more options depending on the model number?
Raine Pisare Sure. Just place the loose tea in the coffee filter. I would think though that tea needs to steep a little and this may or may not brew a strong enough cup for you with tea. Give it a try and let us know!
I bought a second hand one 3 days ago for 15 dollars. Mine is black and says Keurig 2.0. So what is k200 k350 k500 and stuff as well what brand is mine. And how much is the k cup thing price wise ? Thank you for a reply and sharing.
Feather Snyder it depends on what grind of coffee I use. Some are very fine and I do get a little on the bottom. I prefer to grind my own coffee beans and use a bit less fine of a grind.
Just bought this Keurig and this k-cup and that menu doesn't pop up. I've been trying to get the travel mug menu and no matter what I do it doesn't come up.
I am so gonna get one of these for my New Keurig that I got for Christmas! I want to me able to use our own favorites ground coffee instead of always having to buy those expensive K cup pods...

thomas lundy how is it working out?
Ours are in the mail and due to arrive soon, so your video was timely and really fun to watch. You make it sound so easy. Thanks.
Thank you for showing how to use this. I'm never good at reading instructions. :)
Thank you. Enjoy your fog chaser. I was afraid to force the My Cup into the device but you showed me that I needed to do so.

Katy Gerard so welcome!
Fo I need to take out something from the keurig before I add this new pod?
This video literally just saved my brain cells! I've had my K-cup for 3 months and couldn't figure out how to open the top of it!!
LaKeisha Matthews Oh no! I'm glad it helped! Enjoy your coffee!
Thank you for this video! New Keurig user 😊
Me to just bought me a Keurig this month how are you liking yours?

daveheel I seem to get a little no matter what brand I use. Doesn't bother me either.
thanks. tastewise do you notice any difference using the keurig and non-keurig filters?
daveheel I don't notice a difference between them. The my k-cup has a pretty fine mesh and works very well.
thank you. i considered buying the keurig filter but i'll probably keep my non-keuring filter then.
Recently got the Keurig K10 Mini plus model for Christmas. I'm guessing this filter won't work in mine. Please let me know. Thanks.

Do a search on UA-cam for Keurig hack or Keurig full menu.
You just popped the kcup into the slot, doesn't the needle poke through the mesh? Or is it supposed to? I'm new to keurigs and the reusable filter.
There is a lever inside that slides the needle away when this is popped in.

Blaine Bugaski Really? They took away that feature?

i use a non-keurig reusable filter on a black k200. it is not a plus. when i put the filter in, it only has one cup setting up to 10 ounces.

I think it depends on the kcup or filter you use.
were can I get this
Where did you get the carafe filter from and how did you get the k cup one .? Thanks!
And how much :)
Carafe cup was from Bed Bath & Beyond. I believe it was $15 at the time.
Can you use tea with this?
Raine Pisare Sure. Just place the loose tea in the coffee filter. I would think though that tea needs to steep a little and this may or may not brew a strong enough cup for you with tea. Give it a try and let us know!

Steve Davis the difference in numbers is just a different set of features or things the unit came with. The k-cup was $20 in my stores
where did you get your off brand carafe refill cup?
TY
Bed bath and beyond
Thanks for the video nice review
Do you use paper filters?
Was there any grinds in the bottom when you got done?
Feather Snyder it depends on what grind of coffee I use. Some are very fine and I do get a little on the bottom. I prefer to grind my own coffee beans and use a bit less fine of a grind.
how do you have a 14oz available on your keurig is it because of the my kcup?
Yes because of the my k cup it has like a secret menu
Just bought this Keurig and this k-cup and that menu doesn't pop up. I've been trying to get the travel mug menu and no matter what I do it doesn't come up.
what is the best grind of coffee to use
Joanne Bonnette something not too fine. Just use a slightly coarser grind.
Thank you for the video
Needs a filter. Wonder how many grams you can actually Brew. Great Vid you have a professional speaking voice and was very thorough
What is the 1,2,3,4,5,6?
Patrick Cox They are just different settings for cup size and brew cycles.
I am so gonna get one of these for my New Keurig that I got for Christmas! I want to me able to use our own favorites ground coffee instead of always having to buy those expensive K cup pods...
Darci Stewart I love mine, use everyday. Hope you enjoy it once you get one.
Is that the K250?
I had the k200 but I had to exchange it and all the had was the k250. Seems the same.
I have some old K-Cups that would no longer work in the new Keurig 2.0 machine (Old Brewer has a leak). I just purchased the filter that's in this video and now I can use my old K-cups.
