If the price were the same, I would take this design over the 1155. Even at probably $50-60 more than the 1155, I'd take this as well. Over the 1165, that will have to be tested..
Do you think basic m855 green tip in 22 creedmoor would have the construction to beat lvl4 ceramic, lvl3+ ceramic, or lvl3 steel plates using your KAK 18" upper. My guess is lvl4 no, lvl3+ maybe (brand dependant), lvl3 steel yes. Also thanks for all the data over the years, you're channel is truely invaluable for ballistic info
I'll be able to answer your 3+ question on M855 CM in the next coming weeks when I finish 3 videos with it :D I will have to find a level III steel to try..
Generally fragments coming off ceramic armor are far less velocity than when projectiles hit steel.. I would say with ceramic it's less than a concern than steel.

Hey buff I’m wondering if as a ‘over the counter’ way to ‘defeat’ level 4 would be a 12 gauge magnum slug perhaps 1 1/4 oz or heavier or better yet a brenneke black magic? I want to know if on stand alone level 4 they would go deeper than 44mm…. Also I wonder how deep backface would be on steel 3+ armor? What do you think
only WHO TEE HOO on UA-cam has ever tested level 4 against a 12 gauge magnum slug like a brenneke and the backface was insane Appeared to be nearly two inches however against calibrated FBI clay would it be over 44 limit

@@lucastonoli3256 Indeed. M193 is very common and so are 16" barrels. @@Grooove_e indeed. And by price I meant when TA runs those 40-50% off sales. This is a solid $175-200 plate. A $350 is a little much.
