Bravo Gary! I love the way you play my music, so heartfelt. And that you also made these guitars, wow! They sound absolutely beautiful, so well balanced with a lovely sound. What a talent you are!
Do you ever find your advanced understanding of systems to get in the way of your playing, or are you fully capable of subduing a given aspect of thought while engaging in an applicable task? Excellent playing, sir. I came across your illuminating series this afternoon and am excited to learn more in the coming days.. Additionally, if you haven't already covered the following topic, a suggestion: workshop protocol and organization Thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion.
beautifully played, Gary! I was really intrigued by the first video as I don't think I've ever heard you play on a cedar guitar before. All of the guitars have such a notable color palette for this music though, I really enjoyed all of the performances. Congrats and hope to see you soon.
Much appreciated, Matt. My preference as a player is spruce, although a part of me really likes cedar too. Fortunately, my double tops always use cedar for the inner layer, which when blended with spruce on the outside, gives some cedar character in sound and response. The cedar/cedar guitar in the first piece is Celil's guitar, which is a guitar I could really be at home with even though it has no spruce.
