I accidentally put my pc down with too much force while it was in the laptop bag. It hit the ground with one of the sides. Now, whenever i hold it at a certain angle or move it too much, it glitches, and the whole screen turns black with coloured lines and some numbers displayed at the top of the screen. After that happens, it takes a few seconds and restarts itself. The screen itself is perfectly fine. What is the problem???? Did the drop shift something in the motherboard that i need to get fixed?

Hi I have a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 . Looks very similar to your Lenovo IdeaPad 5 in the video. Similar problem, Power doe not turn On and light does not stay on. First thing I noticed was a very dusty fan and fan does NOT spin when Power is turned on. My question is should the cooling fan always turn ON when powering up? If so, should I repalce the fan in the first instance?

@@MuerteLobo @MuerteLobo Glad you asked and i just saw your reply. i was lucky enough that my boss (i am a tech) bought me the CH341 Programmer. now i will admit that this is a crazy technical task so if your not technical maybe take in to the shop rather. anywho, so on my 3rd or 4th attempt i managed to get it to clip to the bios chip correctly and i dumped it into a backup .bin file. then cos i was lazy to do the rest of the tutorial i had, i simply scoured the net for a replacement bin and flashed the chip directly( guess i should mention that this device is an external chip flasher, direct to chip) im extremely lucky in so far as my very first attempt brought that SOB back to life. also if you google it you will find the whole history about the bug. sorry for the long but terrible explanation, i just got home and had a J lol. theres a shipload of info about this out there, once you sift through the crud, if you know about computers you should come right. peace from ZA

Now I dont think mine is a drive problem as it boots to windows when I put my password in i can somewhat see my screen on extremely dim mode if I shine a flashlight it reflects a bit whats on screen and I can see the windows 11 time in centre of screen so im assuming mine has something to do with power being supplied to the display do you have any tips please I would really appreciate it, I am an electrical engineering student so I find these things really fun and exciting. I had a same device as yours, it went black screen after updating the bios/uefi, then a accidently feel it overheated because after 10-15seconds the fan stopped spinning and I don't know why

Same issue with my IdeaPad 5 14ITL05. No LED, no post, no keyboard light up, and the charger works just fine. No physical damage and as far as I’m aware it never had issues until it just started to boot one day and went dead. I was told that I should replace the motherboard and maybe that would fix the issue. I’m considering doing that replacement, but the issue is finding a warranty part for it with a returnable service after install is really difficult to come by. Have you had any luck as of late? I believe we have the same issue. Mines only got 2 and half years of usage with gaming.
hey, mind if I ask did ur laptop works again? i have same laptop here and the problem is mine cannot booting but the fan spinning, power button and esc button its on but caps button didn't on. sometimes when it's booting the laptop works perfectly but when I turn off or restart it's hard to booting.
After strugling a lot, I came with a solution for mine (Lenovo L340 Gamer - 81TR0003BR). I tested countless solutions for that, including the simple ones as reseting the grahpics card, hard reseting the laptop, Ctrl+Shift+X, and also with BIOS flash back, Formating the HD, cleaning the internal parts of the PC, and erasing all info. Still the black screen came after boot, every time. I realized It started happening after installing updating windows 11 - so there is some misterious incompatibility between the hardware of the notebook and the last version of win11. I installed windows 10 and it's working perfectly.
ideapad 5 14 of my gf won't turn on again after a normal shutdown. backlight and power led are on, but the fan won't spin and there is no output via HDMI. also when pluged in the charger (type-c) the charging light won't come on. also it won't boot without the battery plugged in - any idea what i can try?

just a quick thing I had a very similar issue except mine doesn't have an SSD inside of it and I don't know if there is a drive in it, the laptop turns on for 10 seconds with a dim pirple display then turns off for 5 and keeps on doing it

My issue is the fact that nothing powers on. There is no power going to the computer as far as I can tell. Right before it went dead I flicked the screen up, pressed the keyboard and it the keyboard lit up. Then I plugged my charger in and then it went dead. Nothing has worked as far as power cycles or anything of the sort. My charger works fine but the laptop doesn’t. Other chargers don’t even light up indicating power connection. I fear the motherboard is gone, even after I took the cover off and inspected the mobo. No physical damage has been dealt to any components. It’s just gone. Anyone have an idea what the heck is going on? And yes it’s a IdeaPad 14ITL05 that has been used for gaming with a I5 processor Iris XE/XR graphics and a 8GB mobo with 1 terabyte of storage. The components in the computer go as far back as 2020. But it was purchased as late as 2021. 2 and a half years of usage and it dead.

I had the same problem. SSD broken. After I removed it the laptop start giving display output.
