Warwick and Bacharach were one of the finest musical and professional pairings for decades. I have always loved the mellowness and passion the two shared to produce megahits, and sorry their collaboration ended. I actually prefer Dionne's voice to Whitney's though they sang very different material. I'm just glad that Dionne left the Psychic Friends Network; that was a real blemish on her resume.
High school days all the way from SouthAfrica!!! My friend and I tried to model ourselves on her. The self assurance. The dignified demeanor. Her grace!!! She was not a tarty singer.
Precious Dionne should be put in the Guinness Book of Records for becoming the first international singer in history to hit high notes with out any signs in her face of energy or stress . She has to be the only artist in history to have ever done this. Please give her an award that says ;God gave her alone an angel's voice of relaxation. does any agree with me?
I've always loved Dionne Warwick. I must say though, that Joni Mitchell also hit those high notes with barely an effort or change of expression. They both were gifted.

@@robertbullock1715 Come on, do you really need to curse and try to humiliate one to exalt the other? This is completely unnecessary and disrespectful. Please improve, and then come and try to discuss something...
Le calme avec lequel elle chante dans cette période de grande ségrégation aux USA démontre tout sin caractère serein et d'acier. Bravo Dionne Warwick.👏👏👏
What a well trained voice for a 23 year old kid in this video.
So glad she is still with us in 2020.
Sad that this video seems cut short.
And she's still beautiful, today
It the opening seconds, from 0:14, you can see her musical timing in her face, waiting for her entrance... exquisite
She was a beautiful woman with a beautiful SOUL.
Omg, what a great classic song and Lady, love you Mrs Warwick, thank you for your years of music….😁
I simply love her... Stunning lady with a voice that is impossible to forget. Her songs always put me in a certain mood where I feel nostalgic and sad but never alone - because Dionne is there as well, being sad with me :) Love from Poland!
I’m going to see her in June ‘22 in UK
Can’t wait - can’t believe it !
Best wishes to you Suzanna in Poland! x
@@siliconesal awww! Im so happy for you! Best wishes to you, too, dear xx
I've never get enough of this song. When I was in grade school , I was always playing this song in the stereo.
The Talented Genius Burt Bacharach died two days ago, and most people don't even know it! Very Sad RIP
Older music didn’t use gimmicks. It came from the heart and that allows it to transcend time
I adore this song. Dionne Warwick's voice is sublime!
How are you doing today my name is Eric Moore and how is the weather over there
my foremost method of evaluating a love song is whether or not I believe what is being sung and my God this is one of the most honest and vulnerable things I've ever heard
This is one of the best Sunday classics played on Jamaica radio stations ever since I was a child
I wasn't expecting professor sad here but, sad minds think alike I guess
@@Nypotet Indeed
Remember those Sunday’s as a kid in Jamaica too. True classic.
You Forgot Hal David. Without the Words, the song is incomplete.
my sentiments exactly.
wannaba brit
wonderful song - beautifully performed
Absolutely. Warwick, Bacharach and David ware a match made in musical heaven.
Bacharach 👍👍👍
Those cheek bones, wow, beautiful. This has always been my fav Burt Bacharach song that was sung by Dionne
Not afraid to be vulnerable and transparent...that is the beauty of Dionne Warwick.
Music from the 1960s to the 1990s is timeless! Nostalgia. We remember the memories which will last for a lifetime.
Evidence that the camera is one of the most important inventions ever! Imagine all of the amazing songs that have slipped by without being recorded.
I was 13 in 1963 and this was one of my favorite songs. Thank you Dionne Warwick.
So was I. Mine too. She’s wonderful!
Me too
A beautiful song, a lovely voice. You can listen endlessly. It warms the soul and the heart.
She was young here! What an icon she went on to be, great catalog! Thank you, Autie Dionne!!! ❤
I really love this song...
RIP Burt Bacharach
Thanks for the music
I still get goosebumps when I hear her sing! She’s so elegant and beautiful, with one of the most perfect voices. Have always loved her.
First time hearing this song, I was born the year she recorded it 1963.
What a great voice. Love Dionne.
She was just so dignified, regal, and full of grace!! A true queen of the art of presentation and delivery
High school days all the way from SouthAfrica!!! My friend and I tried to model ourselves on her. The self assurance. The dignified demeanor. Her grace!!! She was not a tarty singer.
She was a natural who knew how to navigate Bacharach's complex time signatures.
I agree❤
Precious Dionne should be put in the Guinness Book of Records for becoming the first international singer in history to hit high notes with out any signs in her face of energy or stress . She has to be the only artist in history to have ever done this. Please give her an award that says ;God gave her alone an angel's voice of relaxation. does any agree with me?
I've always loved Dionne Warwick. I must say though, that Joni Mitchell also hit those high notes with barely an effort or change of expression. They both were gifted.
I accept you for that awesome Voice. Ms Dionne Warwick

Dionne has such dignity and it's wonderful to see a great singer not selling her soul but just singing with grace, confidence and sheer talent. She really is truly great.
