My granddad loved this woman. I remember him speaking so fondly of her. It was in the 80s. I was only a preteen, but I remember how much his heart lite up about Ms Warwick. Oddly enough I had absolutely no clue that she was Whitney’s cousin, who we (the younger generation) was falling in love with as well. We fell so far in love we named Whitney The Voice! Burt Bacharach just passed, Feb 2023. He wrote the music, Hal David was the lyricist on all those classic Dionne Warwick records. RIP.

I think promises, promises was their best. It's hard to sing in a play. Phrasing is an unusual tempo and chords are sharps.

My granddad loved this woman. I remember him speaking so fondly of her. It was in the 80s. I was only a preteen, but I remember how much his heart lite up about Ms Warwick. Oddly enough I had absolutely no clue that she was Whitney’s cousin, who we (the younger generation) was falling in love with as well. We fell so far in love we named Whitney The Voice! Well Oprah did. Lol but we all agreed. Talk about serendipity!!! Both of those women wrote the song track to so many lives..😉

I’ve loved Dionne since the sixties, a truly fabulous vocalist throughout her long career. I’m seeing her perform live for the first time next week when she’s doing her last tour of Europe; I’m looking forward so much to hearing her sing, it’s always been my dream…. dreams do come true!!!
