    Hey
    Cody you are a 10 too!
    Great video and instruction. Thank you very much.
    Greetings from Switzerland, home of Bernina
    I grew up in the 1970s and sewed on a Bernina 730 Record as a child. Now on a brand new B 770 QE Plus. Cool!

    I'm a new Bernina owner to a 570QE and I purchased this foot just for topstitching! On my old machine I struggled with topstitching, with this foot and machine my topstitching is perfect now every single time! So worth the one time fee to have this foot forever! Thank you for your videos, I can't wait for part 2 😀...Stay safe!

      I love top stitching and in my opinion it can't be done without the #10 foot :D It is amazing the amount of things you can accomplish with the #10 foot alone that's why I had to break this video up into at least two parts. Thanks for you positive comment and stay tuned for part 2... :)

    My local Bernina store recommended this foot but it was so expensive. However, after watching your video I am going to buy it! Thanks again for your awesome tutorial!

      You’re welcome. At the store I never tell people they NEED any particular foot or accessory. I hep guide them towards things that will help them do what they are trying or wanting to do easier. However I tell everyone they need this foot. If it’s just for garments, quilting, crafts you’re going to use it. It’s so wonderful. 🥰🥰. Enjoy you’re new foot ☺️

      When I learn something from Cody and Pete, I like to buy some thing from Cody and Pete. Pay Cody back for his wonderful efforts, and keep Pete in birdseed lol

      Do you use all three? Or if you have dual feed can you just get 10D? Even when your not using dual feed

    Does this work with a older presserfeet for the 70s almond colored machines?

    Cody do you think it is necessary to have both the 10C and 10D. I have the 770QE plus ? I have seen some people say if your not using your dual feed you must have the 10C You are always so informed. I just don’t want to buy both if the 10D will do both jobs 10:18

    Thank you for teaching, I have one Question, is it possible to use the Nr. 10D foot for a bind hem?

    • @sewingwithcodyandpete8651
      @sewingwithcodyandpete8651  4 роки тому

      Good question. Yes you can use the #10 foot to create blind hems . You might need to move your needle position over the the left depending on which #10 foot you’re using and which machine you’re using. But yes it can be used 🥰🥰

      @@sewingwithcodyandpete8651 Thank you for your answer

    • @gmb9145
      @gmb9145 3 роки тому

      Yes it is possible to use #10 but the #5 is really the best choice for blind hem as the blade that goes down the middle of #5 creates a little slack so there is no pulling on the fabric when you open up your blind hem.

      @@gmb9145 I have got my machine only since christman, Santa was very generous. Now I try to figure out, which sewing foot I purchase first, untill I started with a quilt, I think foot 10D would do the job perfektly. Foot 5 later, I sew garments as well, but first the Quilt. Thank you for your answer.
