If you're going to put a Q like this you should learn how to pin it at the top, not let it drift halfway down. Also, although this was an OK review you need to work on bringing some emotion to you presentation if you'd like to move your Subs up. You sound like you're just reading a script for a required math class assignment. Your Q here shows lots of emotion and excitement, bring that to your voice and you'll rocket up! :) FRIENDLY advice, not criticism. Upvote, no Sub at this time but keep plugging, you have great roots, time to bloom. 👍🤗
Thanks so much for the feedback and the upvote! I really appreciate the friendly advice , and for pin suggestion too-I’ll make sure to implement that. Thanks for the encouragement, and I hope to earn your subscription in the future as we continue to grow and improve! 😊🚀
Also a piece of advice, if you're only going to acknowledge the positive feedback on the game and just ignore the negative stuff, then maybe you shouldn't ask for the negative stuff to begin with. Because it's not very respectful towards the people who shared their frustration, like you asked.
@@MrPenobe i think the torch is strobe-y only when its in "the dark" phase of the day/night cycle. ideally you'd wanna sleep through that part of the night since its too cold to go out anyways. i could be wrong though, thats just something i thought i noticed while playing this past couple days.
Of course they did. It's IGN dude. Their ratings are by far the most sporadic i have ever seen. Only being outclassed by Gaming In The Clinton Years. Yes that is a real game review show. Look it up and prepare for sporadic, hyperactive yet sedated, almost psychotic but not quite, hilariously bad and just downright hilarious reviews intercut with rants about Silicon Graphics Computers. E N J O Y~
@@hano5277Borderlands has poor writing. It’s still has the best gameplay and extensive endgame of any game in the franchise. Ik it’s just your preference. I just tend to see hate for borderlands 3 when it does almost everything better than bl2 did.(except the story ofc. Bl2 is written so well)
We started playing this and I'm an ark player. All I can say is this game is phenomenal. The gameplay is smooth the story is great and if you take your time there's so much to explore. You really feel like you're part of that realm. I hope they expand it and I really hope people take advantage of the discount for this game because it's one of the best games I played in a very long time.❤
I would reccomend you also check out Soulmask. Its like ark and conan exiles had a baby. Plus lots of cool magic and you can build a tribe of npcs which will fight for you, mine, craft stuff, and also, you can switch to and control every individual tribe member. Its really fun.
I absolutely loved the atmosphere and the visuals. I didn't care much for the limited build options, easy combat or repetative nature. What killed the game for me is the stupid design decision to add a buggy physics engine. Which means you can spend hours on building, spanning multiple days where everything is fine, and then BAM out of nowhere, half your base collapses and you have to spend hours again to put everything back into place. Why you would want to add a structural integrity engine in a fantasy game, is beyond me. I mean, I'm fine if the game doesn't allow you to place a part while building for whatever reason, but once you were able to place it, it should freakin stay there until I decide to remove it again, and not some stupid a$$ physics engine on reload, days after the parts were placed.
My guess is that the game initially had a much more audacious development plan but got scaled down. The physics mechanic must have been stuck in the engine and would have required a whole rebuilding of the engine to remove the code.
@@Khemith_Demon_Hours Well, like I said, I don't know their reasoning for putting it there in the first place, but I think the game would be much more enjoyable to me if they removed it. Or at least give me a settings option where I can disable it. If they did that I would definitely start playing again. But right now, I rather play the other similar games out there that don't throw away my invested time, even though they are not as pretty as this one.
This game is a 9/10 for me and if you love Lord of the Rings. I can see it being a 6 or 7 if you have no interest in the Tolkien universe. It doesn’t bring anything groundbreaking or new, but it’s incredibly fun for us Tolkien fanboys. Not every game needs to be catered for everyone.
I feel stupid now for believing IGNs 4/10 review score, at least your review seems far more honest, and despite some of the flaws you highlighted, im gonna give this game a chance now.
As fan of middle earth, i like the atmosphere and music it feels like i'm a dwarf, combat does feel clunky and not really satisfying, crafting also can be better like add more varieties/make less limitation etc, it does feel like it would be repetitive when you play like over 50hrs maybe but it's pretty decent $20 game. I would say if you're tolkien fan and have partner or friends to play with or just to relax a bit it would be great.

They needed to lean harder into the base building. I cant respect a game that lets you make chairs you cant sit in. This wasnt what i was expecting at all. Its more linear narrated approach with building thrown in

Thx for the review. The constrained building capabilities has put me off buying this game, as well as it being very dark as a whole. I’m just not sure it’s a decent Valheim/Enshrouded alternative.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It’s true that the building options in Return to Moria are quite limited, and the dark atmosphere might not be for everyone. If you're looking for alternatives to Valheim or Enshrouded, there are definitely other games out there that might fit the bill better. Feel free to share any other titles you're considering or if you need recommendations! 🛠️🌌
@@GameVaultHQ-5 After 6 hours I'd say this is not an alternative ro Valheim or Enshrouded. Besides the singing when mining, this game does nothing better than the others. Some things are actually much worse. Well, crafting and inventory management is really good. If at least the combat was better, but right now I lack the motivation to continue. :(
The diversity really isn't that big here, aside from the Pre-Menu intro. And the female dwarves aren't that bad, they have beards, so it's lore accurate.

The game is still in early access at the time of this review, I think that's important to mention but I didn't see it in your description.

The fact that this game got 4/10 on IGN, which is the same as the gollum game, is absolutely ridiculous
This games $20 and easily a 7/10 at that point. I'd rather play this than saints row borderlands 3 or dustborn.

Warner Brothers wasn't promoting the game with a ton of AD money so IGN gives their poverty review
