I assume when the PS1 is reset using the reset button, the VRAM isn't entirely cleared and the startup logo/theme overwrites the parts in RAM necessary. Normally you wouldn't see this.
The harmony sounds like as if you unlocked something in the console and now you have access to explore deeper into its memory if you play the right game and did a specific action…like a Easter egg but an ancient one that hides a story buried for years.

The fact that the blood sprite from the game was loaded does look like this is an improper handling of issues reading the data, and it does look like to some degree we're seeing raw memory being output. Fearful Harmony in rare cases can also show up as coloured pixels according to the wiki on this, which occurs when System Memory is being mistakenly read and output as if it was VRAM. She would think I’m being overdramatic at first, but then she would walk in right as the Fearful Harmony starts playing and then we would both just stare at the screen in uncomfortable silence. How did this trigger though? Was it by accident? If it did restart on its own after running over some NPC's on the game, then it's really creepy. Might be that the PS1 overloaded itself at some point or some other reason. It would seem that the disc might have corrupted itself abruptly.
I'm guessing that the system has some damaged RAM, which causes a crash when a game tries to use that RAM. That's also why you can see some of the game's textures during Fearful Harmony, the RAM wasn't able to clear out properly.
The game was probably badly corrupted, and either 1) The PS1 had a modchips 2) The information partition was not corrupted but the game partition was, making the PS1 think it's not corrupted
@@Diogo2cool If u have a modchipped PS1 and put a damaged disc in it, then it will definitely be easy. The modchip forces the console to read the disc so it causes alot of issues, like the Fearful Harmony!

Imagine you turn off your psX to go to sleep. The ps1 turns on in the middle of the night because you forgot the psx was chipped and you had a pc disk in for the funi. You wake up in fear and plug the psX off. It doesnt work. You check the door. Its locked.
I guess what's happening here is basically normal fearful harmony, but the GPU falsely loads corrupted data from the VRAM during the startup and since it's an error, the pictures just pile up instead of getting replaced by each other
I remembered as a 6 yr old i got the personified fear with just the white playstation bar no logo. That actually scared me to death cuz my big ass shaped box tv was loud.

Imagine you turn off your psX to go to sleep. The ps1 turns on in the middle of the night because you forgot the psx was chipped and you had a pc disk in for the funi. You wake up in fear and plug the psX off. It doesnt work. You check the door. Its locked.

I guess what's happening here is basically normal fearful harmony, but the GPU falsely loads corrupted data from the VRAM during the startup and since it's an error, the pictures just pile up instead of getting replaced by each other
