I absolutely love that you’re donating that bedroom set to the DV shelter. It’s hard to start over and sometimes just having a decent place to lay your head down can help so much
The room makeover is beautiful ,however the real prize is your Sons thankfulness and the joy it gave you was spot on. My thumb’s up to a restful teenagers. I enjoyed watching every episode.
The black wall is really a plus. But I think for Conner’s sake I would switch out the gorgeous antique quilt for daily use with a more sturdy coverlet. The room is beautiful.

I hear you on installing ceiling fans. My hubs and I are in our mid-sixties, climbing ladders sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. So when we needed to replace our 10ft. high ceiling fan in familyroom, we hired out. Well worth the money for our safety. We don't bounce when we fall like we use to. Your room looks beautiful, it's inspiring me!

Bless you, for donating the furniture to a special cause. I was in a program once where the furniture came with the apartment from donations. I just spent money because of those sheer panels, lol. It was worth the wait the room turned out so beautiful.

I am a French country style and fortunately all my furniture suits my design, except my son's room ...he loves the more English country...even though he's on his own for a very long time..he does visit often ..so I'm making over his room to suit his style
..and by the way I'm going on 69 years old and tackling this...because of your encouragement..ps: my husband thinks I'm nuts..lol

Mama, Connor is getting ready to pass you up! Lol. I feel for you, I have a grandson and a granddaughter that lives with me and both are now taller than me. We just had to order my grandsons senior ring. Does come in handy when I need something from the top shelf, or a bulb changed. The room turned out fantastic!!!

Beautiful room! You are the only designer I have seen that hangs the art above your bed before you make it, thank you for that, it drives me crazy when people make the bed with clean linen and then they stand on it to hang art so thank you for that. 😊
Nicely done! I especially appreciate the personal touches - walking stick and quilt - that make the space something much more than Pinterest perfect or Instagram worthy. That can be copied over and over, but the personal touches are what makes it home!

I love revere pewter. It’s a classic color. I’ve used it in both of my homes like 15 years apart and it still is just a timeless color.

Natalee you pulled this off with all the feels and style. the “secret” I ❤ You message is the best and I’m sure your son appreciates that it isn’t out in full view when his friends visit him but remembers that it’s there and his mom loves him immeasurably. And getting most of the decor and goods at Walmart-OMG-it looks better than most of the higher priced rooms I’ve seen done on YT! And it just shows you don’t have to go mega $$ to have an absolutely gorgeous room. Bravo, Natalee! Now you know why you are the only DIYer I have kept on my playlist. 😊.

I am not a big fan of black but the way you have styled that room is amazing. It came out great i love everything about it including the black when you first put it up on the wall, i wasn't sure, if i am honest. it looks great Natalee Honestly. God bless. I am glad your son likes it..
I redid my son’s room very similar to your design a few years ago… I painted the walls a deep charcoal, wrapped the box spring mattress and headboard in a faux woven leather and hung cream curtains and the bed spread is grey… the only thing that I didn’t think of were the brass curtain rods. I love that element. It was so sweet to see how happy your son was with the new room his momma created for him! Priceless!
The room turned out great. Conner seemed to really like it. I just wish I had some of your energy and drive. After working all day I have to force myself to make dinner and do the laundry lol. You’re amazing.

It's very nice. I like the symmetry the table lamps provide. I would suggest creating a "faux window" on the other side of the bed for complete symmetry. This can be accomplished with a large mirror and dressing it as you did on the window. I think that would complete the look.

A tip -for curtain panels with grommets or that make folds-cut empty toilet paper or paper towel tubes into desired width and place on rod between each fold for perfect, stay in place folds. Even if you open and close curtains it still works. ❤️❤️❤️

Wow! What a beautiful and grown-up space for Connor. I remember when I was 13 going to Sherwin Williams with my dad to pick out wallpaper and paint for my bedroom. It was so special that he did that for me. This brought back those happy memories.

i love walmart sheets especially the microfiber ones, they are cheap and last forever...Wow Natalee this is just gorgeous, so trendy and relaxing!! Even though designers say accent walls are outdated I still love the black wall, beautiful!! you did the decor just perfect!! I am like you have to do faux greenery lol...great Walmart items...i think you need to do this more often (thank God no power tools lol) God bless
