I was born in Handsworth, Sheffield in 1949; I haven't lived in the U K for years but when I see this, a lot has changed since I was a child, and they were still clearing rubble and debris from the WW2 Blitz. I'm sending this video to my brother. Thank you for sharing this video with this memorable city where my brother and I were born.

Mate its at the back of the post office wonderful park do you know where that is if not there's a garage across from that there's a chippy it's down side of the chippy at the bottom mate cheers
@@SheffieldVideos Thanks. I lived on the Kelvin Flats as a teen from 1970 to 1975 or so. Then in 1977 we moved into the third or fourth house up on Birkendale Road. So I've had two spells there. I moved to the U.S. 30 years ago and don't recognize what is there now the Kelvin has been demolished so it would be really interesting to see.

Lets make our city centres beautiful nature Life heavens. Also a few públic fountains would really make a difference .
