I dont know about it being the fanciest grocery store in latin America, considering how big Latin America is. But yeah,definitely one of the fanciest grocery stores in Mexico.
I have one two blocks from where I live and three blocks from where I live it recently open La Comer, which is part of same supermarket chain. The only pricey stuff in City Market are all the imported products, but all national brands or American brands produce in Mexico their pricing are the same as any other regular supermarket, such as Híper Soriana, Chedraui or even Walmart.
