That law of diminishing returns applies to so many things. Musical instruments, restaurant food, plastic surgery, engagement rings & wedding ceremonies, etc.
I look at it like this… $60 for a bottle of Angel’s Envy, I’m gonna enjoy that. Or I can get 3 bottles of Turkey 101 (kickin chikin) and forget the last 7 years…

As always humor is subjective, what makes me laugh like an idiot might not make you laugh at all or vice versa. fun fact: in moskow are a lot of rich russians. rich russians love to drink champagne. france exports a lot of champagne to russia. france did not like russias annex of the krim. france put some trade restrictions and extra taxes on stuff imported from russia like vodka. french people bought less russian stuff, russian companies are sad. putin is angry because russian stuff does not sell good in fance anymore, so he does the same france did with vodka and other good for champange. but the target demographic (rich oligarchs in moscow) didnt care that the champagne became more expensive and kept buying it over russian manufactrured sparkling wine. so the russian senate put forth a law that goes against international law (which made for some nasty speeches in the next un session) which makes it illegal to call any sparkling wine champagne which is not produced in russia and to call russian made spakling wine anything but champagne. (that still didnt work because... well... to become a rich person and staying a rich person, you dont need to be a genius but you need more than two brain cells rubbing against each other and... i mean... it was very transparent what was going on...) TLDR: russia is the only country where champagne has to be called sparkling wine and sparkling wine produced in russia has to be called champagne (although it has nothing to do with champagne (the region in france))
