My favorite story about wine snobbery was when a French competition had the judges taste them blind, and they picked 3 Californian wines over all the fancy French ones. They were _not_ happy.

IH doesn't really get into it, but LVMH stands for Louis Vuitton-Moet-Hennessy. It's just the conglomerate that owns most of the really prestigious luxury brands.

Flavour pairings are something I think about a bit because as a teenager, I had a 'I like both these things' moment for lunch and discovered that a chocolate milkshake does not go well with plum chicken.

I look at it like this… $60 for a bottle of Angel’s Envy, I’m gonna enjoy that. Or I can get 3 bottles of Turkey 101 (kickin chikin) and forget the last 7 years…

My mother is a wine lover and such i have learned a little about wine as well. The thing with certain bottles from years being priced differently is just a variation on how the weather was that year pretty much. For example, my mother loved the 2018 Napa valley reds. Something about the California fires made them really good but it's extremely hard to find them now. So now those bottles are in the $100 price range.

It's called Champagne, because of the region yes. It used to be a county, as in Count of Champagne. Then it became a province during the republic and merged to become Champagne-Ardenne. But in 2016 multiple provinces were merged into one large one and called Grand Est (Former provinces of Lorraine, Alsace, and Champagne-Ardenne).
This really shows the difference between incognito and main channel vids. Incog is entertainment first so the notes are very informative but main has notes be very additional and supplementary.
To answer the Albertsons thing. Albertsons is the parent company of it's own stores, Safeway, whole goods, and CARS. Kroger is the parent of it's own stores, QFC, and Fred Myer. Kroger and Albertsons where trying for a company merger all through 2023, but that has been blocked through the efforts of the FTC and the local workers union.
Yeah it creates major worries for whole regions. For example, the merger would mean that in the state of Washington over 90% of grocery stores would then be owned by a single company.
Extra info like 'what Crystal Glass' is just makes me think... using that in a D&D game at some point.

@@ReinaSaurus I don't have a perfect answer for that. Some jokes are funny some are not and some are just too esoteric. As always humor is subjective, what makes me laugh like an idiot might not make you laugh at all or vice versa. I disagree that Kip is overreacting though as if acting a character though, he is probably among the more genuine of reaction channels. He clearly enjoys the memes.
