Excellent video Nick!! That whistle sound has a very distinct sound, big and robust. Your ground level shots are some of your coolest looking in the video. Seeing the wheels up close and the the track flexing at the joints is something you don’t see everyday.
Awesome catches Nick!! Also cool you got 643 participating in the whistle blow; I was up with the traction engines when it happened Saturday. Can’t wait to hear it on 1361 one day!
Man, that is one melodic whistle! What a thrill hearing it, and thanks for sprinting all over the grounds to get those shots Nick! I noticed 643 has TWO turbogenerators on the smokebox. I wonder why two instead of the usual one? Hey, I loved that mass "lunch whistle" blow! Thanks for bringing us along!
Power draw is why. 1 Dynamo can't make enough wattage to handle all of the loads, so they use 2. Usually one runs the headlight, while the other runs the cab lights and radio.
Another awesome video Nick! Thanks so much for shooting this video. Love to hear that 1361’s whistle is in use. It sounds awesome!! I hope the day will come soon that 1361 will be back in running condition! Also that was an awesome noontime whistle!! I hope you are enjoying the holiday and thanks for all you do for our awesome hobby!!
Thanks for watching! Definitely the most unique whistle I’ve heard in a while. Me too, can’t wait to see what 1361 looks like in motion. For now I have my O Scale 1361 to enjoy lol
It makes me wonder what they did with the old Pennsylvania passenger cars they had sitting farther up the a bit years ago before they started using those two flat car and built them into open air cars. There is alot of stuff I remember about my old home town you are at in this video brother and the Grove
From the angle shoot as you look across the road there where the rocks and grass are mounded up, I think that is a old rock Cory where the no trust passing sing is at.
Thanks for sharing. Can’t wait for 1361 to run again. When it does, tickets will sell out in 2 seconds!
1901...that's amazing ! Great film Nick...thank you. 👍
Thanks for watching! Oh yea, she’s an oldie 🚂💨
Love that whistle! The view from the ground was awesome. Thanks for sharing brother. That pot signal reminded me of the one you found at work.
Thanks so much! Yes, I still need to find more lenses to make a full pot signal lol

Thanks for watching! I honestly wanted to the camera in the gauge but the rail was too low 😂

@@renegadeoflife87 Makes perfect sense, thanks!
We could run just one and be fine. But having 2 makes one work less.
@@Prr7002 Thanks!

@@NixCrossing same here! My MTH K4 with Protosound is one of my favorite steam locomotives!
The whistle is our own whistle.
643 is such a neat little engine, it's a shame she's confined to only half a mile of track.
I hope they can one day do the full loop
We are working on adding more track this year. Just waiting for the ties.
Very cool video Nick!
Happy to see 643 out and about. 😊
Glad you had a good time.
Thank for watching! 🚂💨 my first time at the Grove
The train horn on the Pennsylvania cabooses is great.
Nice! I was conducting on the back of the caboose the last clips backing into tue station. Hope you enjoyed our railroad!
Thanks so much for watching! Had a great day at the railroad/ steam show. The MPA pieces are really amazing! 🚂💨
@@NixCrossing Thank you! we got that boxcar looking like a real box car a year ago it looked like a barn on wheels
Great footage as always. That is an amazing whistle
Thanks brother! I need more K4s 😋
That whistle is so haunting. I'm sure it put chills down your spine to hear it in person.
Very haunting and unique indeed 🚂💨
It is hunting, but I have heard it many of times when I have been up that way.
Awesome Video Nick , MTH really nails that Whistle, My Favorites 425 , 1361 Whistles .
Thanks for watching! I’ll have to be on the lookout for one of those 😋
@@NixCrossing I have a MTH Premier K4 PS3 , they used the actuate Horn sound File .
