nothing more satisfying than watching a crowd trying to figure out how to ‘dance’ to this wizard’s masterful production. Re-visiting this years later and it is still by far thee most genuine boiler room mix I’ve ever seen
@@mdade9972 That's the weird thing, his music is very danceable - many of his tracks are a simple 4/4 beat with added layers. It's good for just spacing out to
My favorite part of this is how the music is super heady and experimental, but his fans still cheer for him like it's a football match. I'd do the same thing ✊

The girl with the bottle of alleged wine at 23.45 😂 this man is a treat, no poses , pure authenticity. well executed excellent thought out electronic music 🤘🖤
I love seeing producers/DJs who aren't afraid to start off a live set nice and slow, knowing there is the risk of initially coming across as "boring" to some people in the audience. Delayed gratification at work :)
I saw Andy in the mid 2010s in Krakow and it was the darkest set I’ve ever saw… I dunno what happened but at some point I removed my shoes and danced on a bench while my friend had fever and simply listened to the set sitting with eyes closed
It's really good. Hope you get the chance. Watching a video of him doesn't do the sounds justice. You gotta hear it on a big system. I saw him at Pitchfork Festival in daylight, which wasn't the best environment, but it still sounded really good. The sub just came up through ur body. I was like the only one dancing to it too, but it didn't matter. Highly recommend seeing this guy live.
@slytown I saw Andy at OFF Festival in Poland maybe 8 years ago now and I loved Andy's music since he composed Passed me by and We stay together in 2011 but at OFF Festival he disappointed me with his show. But we all have bad days 😸😸 Andy Stott is a genius anyway. EOT 😻😻
Have 0 clue how could you compose such things live like that... Amazing! Btw the crowd was just terrified with his silent-hill kind of music I guess - a pleasure to watch)
downloaded this podcast and forgot about it came on randomly.. woke up 46 minutes later.. This shit is timeless to say the very least.. Some of the productions in here are truly masterpieces. this thing needs a tracklist though for sure... good lord Andy Stott
I haven’t watched many boiler room sets but I love this one. The early Stott stuff I know has a wonderful darkness to it. Like zombies shufflin or something. Cheers.
@@melmagicspell4033 Part of the allure of Andy Stott's art is that it's a little bit unnerving. Sometimes there's a bit of glee that comes from watching people who are just completely out of the loop on that feeling.
Aged P I agree with that. Like 4 years ago he played at FYF in LA and they put him I believe after The Black Madonna and at the same time as Gold Panda at some other stage and the people that stayed at Andy’s set was delightful. But some people were really weirdly confused about why he was on like the dance stage.
imagine this legend doing the sound engineering of a horror movie.
When???
uh, nothing about his style evokes darkness or horror to me.

Right. You don't have to dance to everything. Would love to see both Andy Stott and Terrence Dixon at a show.

This isn’t even that difficult to dance to. Most of the rhythms are pretty four on the floor
I'd bust out super hard to this, pathetic swaying isn't much of a muster.

He is in the future, even now 2022 nothing compares to it!
This guy is pure dirty / clean elegance.
Alen Djukic .....wonderfully put!:)

@@mayelaponce1465Sounds like it’s the unreleased track “Stitch House” and “Up The Box”
Initial part of the set?
@@payman3050 thank you so much!!!! Bad Wires is also amazing, I'd only heard Cracked from that album but now I gotta listen to it all. TY TY!

slytown Cheers for the great insight, I hope so! :-)
slytown Saw him at Montreal's Mutek two years ago; one of the best, and also loudest, show i've been so far in my life.

I hope from the bottom of my heart that there is still a world to see him live, he is The Reference
17:25 THAT TRANSITION INTO Numb. Come on guys...
it's hard to be unique these days but andy pulls it off superbly
crushing set
literally no boiler room video even gets close to this one
Jon Hopkins is really good.
true, one of the only others that i revisit often
***** You should check out Genious of Time and Lone Boiler Room sets too.
phon.o is pretty badass too
The Haxan Cloak could be added to this shortlist. His set was pretty next level if you ask me.

Home Away from Home ( Arthur Russell ) - Andy Stott Live Mix
i instantly recognized it was arthur, his sound is unparallel
@@widewatching338 came here just to find the comments about arthur
No wonder why is the most repeated part of the whole video!
Andy: my dark dandy
I just love the way he occasionally stands up straight in a - see what I did there - fashion; like at 6:05. Unbelievable set.
Thank you Stott! and thanks to the Boiler Room too. I'm so glad to hear this tribal sounds.....
Watched the first 15 of this 3 times in an afternoon. so smooth.

What a Wonderful Set!!! Best sound through this hot working day. Min 19:35 is now the right thing to hear, deep emotions...
What an amazing show he puts on
I'd love to hear a whole set based on the beginning
He playing the feeling of his crowd, the sound might hurt someone feeling if they cannot understand what maestro playing. Great set 🔥🔥🔥

Awasome performans 👌👍
looks amazing.. i wanna be there
Tremenda sesión!
beautiful finish ... excellent drum ! ;)
The fact that he's mixing with no headphones is legit.
No need for them since he's not matching tempos on the fly, it's already all done in whatever DAW/hardware he's using.
I absolutely need to fucking see this man do his stuff live, holy shit.
pure gold
Awesomeness
