    Amazing outfit. Bit beyond my budget though. Looks great though.

    Excellent video! The jacket and pants looks nice. Is this a 3 season jacket Fall, winter and spring? Do you recommend this for riding in the rain mostly or what about daily use like street riding, commuting and fun? How does a jacket like this compare to the Alpinestar Andes 3 jacket. There is a big price difference. Do you have other videos with similar jackets that I can look at that have a different price point. I would pay for this jacket if I can use daily and not necessarily in rain but cold weather and just riding.

      Thanks for getting in touch, and I'm glad you liked the video. You can wear kit like this all year round, but its main strength is its ability to keep you, and itself, dry. You pay more for that capability, so in my opinion it's only really worth investing if that is important to you (I would say daily commuters in all weathers, or touring riders who may face long and repeated rides in bad weather). Nothing is perfect and the downsides of a laminated jacket like this are a reduction in physical flexibility, the permanent presence of a waterproof membrane and a lack of layers for insulation against cold. So if you are more likely to ride in dry, hot weather and want something for occasional rain then a good option is a jacket with a membrane you can take out when it's hot. If you ride in mostly the cold-average temps when it's dry, but still want rain protection, then a drop liner (like the Alpinestars Andes has) is great. It's about understanding what you're guarding against most of the time. Here in Britain it's rarely above 30C, so I'd rather get a bit sticky on the odd hot day than have soaking wet kit whenever it rains. In environments where it's hot all the time and rains once in a blue moon then you'd probably go the other way and suffer the odd drenching so you're more comfortable for the majority of the time. As for similar jackets at lower cost, laminated clothing that uses generic membranes rather than Gore-Tex are considerably cheaper. Two examples in our reviews are Oxford's Mondial Advanced (ua-cam.com/video/7b9NyakQXnk/v-deo.html) and the Richa Infinity Pro (ua-cam.com/video/MsERgyLEDuA/v-deo.html). I hope that helps (and that you've made it to the end of this comment!) Cheers, Tony

    Only velcro closures on the cuffs on such an expensive jacket seems like an oversight to me. Would it be possible to zip these Dominator 3 pants together with the Defender 3 Jacket ?

      Hi, the zips are compatible with each other but you'll only be able to go one or two sizes apart from each other (say, size L jacket and size XL jeans) without the zips ending up slightly off-centre from each other. I hope that helps you. Cheers, Tony

    For the price Revit are asking for this jacket and trouser outfit I would expect a full made to measure facility.
    I'm sure it performs very well but only if you conform to their sizing.
    Not for me, just too expensive for an off the peg suit. 🙁

    Different trouser lengths are great, but we need different jacket, especially arm lengths to match. Tall sizes?

      Interesting thought, Nick. Next time I get chance I'll ask a manufacturer if they've ever considered it as it makes sense to me. Cheers, Tony

    How would you compare it to the KLIM Badlands Pro?

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  2 роки тому

      We've not reviewed the Klim jacket so I can't directly compare the two from my experience. The spec of the Badlands Pro suggests the two are very similar and are both designed for the same purposes. Thanks for getting in touch and sorry I couldn't be of more help. Cheers, Tony

    Hello, how heavy it is? Thank you

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  Рік тому +1

      It's a substantial jacket, as 3L laminated Gore-Tex jackets usually are. If light weight is important to you then these aren't the jackets to go for. Cheers, Tony

    is it suitable also for hotter regions of the planet?

    • @sportsbikeshop

      A suit like this with Gore-Tex Pro will be OK when riding along in warm conditions as there will be air flowing through the vents to cool you down (unless the temperature is really high, in which case there's warm air flowing, so not many jackets can help). The issue with GTX Pro and high temperature is more when you're stationary and there's no air flowing. It can get pretty warm then - and this is when a jacket with a removable membrane would be more useful. Thanks for getting in touch and I hope this helps. Cheers, Tony

    Does this take the prize for most expensive jacket ? 😂

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  2 роки тому

      It's quite high in that list, but five jacket models are currently more expensive on our site. This link puts the 2606 motorcycle jackets on our site in price order, starting with the highest... www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_cat/975/(4;product_price;DESC;0-0;all)/page_0/max_20 Cheers, Tony
