My issue with all these high end ones. ive seen them as high as $45k. I just bought an all terrain wheelchair that was still a lot but somewhat affordable at $1800. It goes 4mph, up to 30 miles. I had one similar years back that was not even as aggressive as this one and it went on hiking trails and the beach. No problem.
actually, some places like Switzerland (where i live) buy you a wheelchair if you really need it for daily life. tho the restrictions are pretty tough so you cant really choose from such a big variety

People who are bound to their chairs have the tendency to sometimes gain weight It basically just reviews the look and the ride and all electric wheelchairs are gonna have good looks and good rides that's the selling point how is that helpful to the consumer in any real way that matters people who need to be in electric wheelchairs Need more than just esthetic it's not a toy.
Actually the last part you’re describing is between you and your doctor. Just because someone needs to be in an electric wheelchair doesn’t mean everyone has the same needs. All the electric part means it’s not manual the rest is up to you and your doctor. Price actually does matter because not all insurance companies cover the cost.

To qualify for coverage of a power chair you need to need it inside your home. Insurance will not cover one for the purpose of you being able to leave your home. For example, in my perfectly flat home I can get around just fine in a manual chair. Even on crutches unless I'm cooking or need to be up a while. But I can't leave my home without a power chair. So I have to buy my own power wheelchair unless I want to be housebound. Since I work full time, I do need to leave my home. I have owned 3 different power chairs, all purchased used because I can't afford new. My current chair is a ROVI X3 that cost $40,000 new.
I had the older version of the Jazzy. I loved the fact that I could elevate the seat to get things from a high shelf. And also if you're talking to someone who is standing over you, it makes you feel less awkward. You don't have to look up their nose. Plus the seat turned so it was much easier to get in-and-out and avoid the foot rest. But I found it hard to steer. It's been my only experience with an electric wheelchair, so I don't know how to compare it with other ones. I had to leave it behind when I moved overseas. I had private insurance at the time, so they authorised the seat that turned and the elevating seat. Medicare wouldn't have done that. So, between Medicare and my private insurance I didn't have to pay anything. Medicare pays 80%. At least they did 20 years ago.
I bought my mom the Jazzy pride 2, after F KD wheelchair wouldn’t return my call for parts. Double the price but it’s well worth it. It even has headlights and reflector rear lights for going out at night. I’d say I am more than happy with the Jazzy pride 2.
Having owned front, mid and rear wheel drive power wheelchair I can tell you that steering a mid wheel chair like the Jazzy is as easy as it gets. As with all things, practice makes perfect. In order of difficulty from easiest to hardest to steer it's mid, front, then rear wheel drive. My rear wheel chair is the lightest and easiest to put into a car, but it's a bear to steer.
A wheelchair that can reach the high shelfs sounds cool but where you gonna put your knees and feet/footrest. Well there is no room for them so you place your chair sideways to the shelf so that you have to turn your upper body sideways to be able to grab stuff and that might hurt your spine.
Paraplegic here. I already don’t have a choice but to turn sideways because stores aren’t accessible, and reaching tall shelves is near impossible without doing so. Sure, it’s not the best, but there’s no other way to do it, lol.
I love how all the demonstrators of wheelchairs that fit into a trunk of a car, get out of their chair to lift it into the trunk! A large majority of disabled people would not be able to lift something that heavy at all let alone into a trunk. Just a general comment about all the adverts I see!

I have an Eagle HD which got from a seller on craigslist for $800.00...usually 2800bucks. Even if I had to pay full price for it, it's worth every penny. It has a 400lbs capacity and it's foldable for car travel.

Generally 'off road's depends how hard you want the terrain to be, I use a Permobil F5 and a Tilite TR with power add-on (something like a Batec). If you need to clear obstacles more than 3" high or are going to get bogged in soft ground, a manual chair with off-road wheels and a power add-on with torque is a good option. Or you can look at something like Zach (JerryRigEverything)'s project for off-road mobility.

Is ok to buy them used ? Or they will come with issues later ?! What about if I dont have an authorized dealer to maintain them in my country ?! Will it be easy to send it back to the manufacturer for repair ? I think the more sophisticated the chair the more issues it would have later.
Medicare covers very little in terms of power wheelchairs. It will only cover them if you can't get around your own home without. If you need it to go out of the house, you're on your own.

As a wheelchair user, these are not even close to the top 10, in fact, I wouldn't even put most of these in my top 50 except maybe the last 2 which are more a gimmick than a viable Wheelchair but the technology may in the future make them more feasible. I liked the last one - the Scewo Bro....except the $33,000 price tag - gad zooks! The first one was cool, as well--did you say $1,000? I may look into that if that is, in fact, the price. I currently have a 2019 Quantum Q6 Edge 2.0, which I like...but a lot of electrical problems! Without my chair, I can't move an inch, so nothing's worse than having your chair break down with no warning.... :-(

Why do you say this? I agree some are pretty generic like #9 and #8 (kind of like your chair), but others making big strides like WHIILL and Scewo. What top 20 would you place above these two devices?

Most of these chairs have terrible ranges. My wheelchair battery ran out in Berlin and air had to sit for hours while it charged at a street T shirt vendor. I would never buy a chair with a "reported" 15 mile range because that means it really has 8 miles of range.

Internet fridges internet wardrobes and furnitures should be made to create automatic purchase programs with the government money or benefits received. True. It still cost less out of pocket then my covered chair cost after insurance kicked in. It is an amazing chair

Is ok to buy them used ? Or they will come with issues later ?! What about if I dont have an authorized dealer to maintain them in my country ?! Will it be easy to send it back to the manufacturer for repair ? I think the more sophisticated the chair the more issues it would have later.

Medicare covers very little in terms of power wheelchairs. It will only cover them if you can't get around your own home without. If you need it to go out of the house, you're on your own.

You still need to be able to walk unaided and lift the wheelchair into and out of the car boot. That means you won't be independent if you can't do those things

As a wheelchair user, these are not even close to the top 10, in fact, I wouldn't even put most of these in my top 50 except maybe the last 2 which are more a gimmick than a viable Wheelchair but the technology may in the future make them more feasible.

The first one was cool, as well--did you say $1,000? I may look into that if that is, in fact, the price. I currently have a 2019 Quantum Q6 Edge 2.0, which I like...but a lot of electrical problems! Without my chair, I can't move an inch, so nothing's worse than having your chair break down with no warning.... :-(

Why do you say this? I agree some are pretty generic like #9 and #8 (kind of like your chair), but others making big strides like WHIILL and Scewo. What top 20 would you place above these two devices?
@@braddahyosh09 reason he say that is because none of these chair makers ever ask disabled people for what we actually want.. we want range 20+ miles, big wheels as small ones get stuck in pot holes, to be able to custom program our joysticks so they do exactly what we want.stair walkers really most are rubbish.

Most of these chairs have terrible ranges. My wheelchair battery ran out in Berlin and air had to sit for hours while it charged at a street T shirt vendor. I would never buy a chair with a "reported" 15 mile range because that means it really has 8 miles of range.
