I assumed it was a 5Below
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
In London it’s a corner store
And this is how the female protagonist fall montage started. We've come so far...
I realised I was watching a historic moment to…🎉
You have to do Save the Last Dance one day. I was obsessed with it as a tween. I feel like it would be perfect for this series!
I looked it up and saw that it came out in 2001. I turned 17 in Oct. of that year, so I'm assuming it came out when I was 16. I LOVED that movie, but I'm guessing that my 16 yo self saw it differently than I'd see it now at 37. LOL. I just saw that it got really bad ratings on IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes. LOL. I remember it being great, so I'm sure I'd cringe and laugh watching Jaime review it.
Yaaaas!!!
Yes!!!
The part where the girl in the long ass line tilted her head in to the fourth dimension and you inserted that “crack” noise... it sent me to the moon. 😂😂😂
Yes!! That cracked me up!!
“she’s 3-4in’ it under her breath.” 😂😂😂
"He slaps the pool balls"...I literally spit sparkling rose out of my nose. Love you!!!!!!!!!!!!
Honey is 22. If he’s 8 and “she would’ve been 14” that means she would’ve had him at 14 years old lol
Yup
I came to answer this lol 😂
Yeah but the way she phrases it is weird "that would make me 14" instead of "that would have made me 14"
@@caseyh8386 Agreed the wording was absolutely terrible
Came to answer, too, but decided to check first. It was awkward.
My older sister was obsessed with this movie... like she watched it EVERY day for as long as I can remember lol she would try to learn the dances and stuff, while I sat there playing barbies.... good times
This entire video had me hollering 😂 my 7 year old self really thought this movie was it. Wow early 2000s...what a time.
Me too! But I still LOVE this movie❤️ reminds me of a more simple time...
As a Canadian this looks like every local immigrant deppaneur ;) You can find literally the most random stuff - Fruits, Clothes, hair care, road salt, old DVDs and their home countries staples. I love it!
Left the same comment lol
There's so many like this on Eglinton west especially
I was reading the comments just to learn this❤
Exactly. This kind of place exists in every country. Chinese groceries plus random kids toys and knick knacks? Nigerian groceries plus brushes and hair extensions? Sure, why not 😅
I vaguely remembered there was a Honey 2, but just now discovered there were four of these movies. FOUR 😂😂😂
I’m sorry WHAT 😵😂
Dear God! 😆
I didn't even know there was 2
One of them has Bonnie from the vampire diaries as honey! Haha
😲🥱
the moments where you edit the music out of dance scenes and put in squeaky shoes are transcendent
I know! I love that!
Yes my favorite parts 😂 it’s so awkward 😂
And the claps 😂😂
Always Makes me laugh
the subtle toots she put in😂
The sound effects with the echoes always kill me. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
If that supposed to be “bad” or “poor” neighbourhood it’s so weird that Honey would throw shade at women who had teen pregnancy. 😬
wow, good point, i've watched that movie so many times (don't ask me why...), but i never thought of that...😳
i KNOW, “i’m not that kinda girl” as if pregnant teens go around like “hey y’all, i’m that girl!” like insinuating that they’re easy. out of touchh
I mean, who aspires for teen pregnancy... Lol I didn't think it was that bad. I ain't that kinda girl either 😂
Lmao yah I thought the same thing
I knew girls who aspired to have teen pregnancy by 14. It’s taught to get that government aid 🤑 lifestyle. 🤦🏽♀️ I wish I was joking. I even have family who did this. Meanwhile, I chose to be a virgin till I got married to a nice Christian who respected me enough to wait. Is it throwing shade to say that’s your choice and not teen pregnancy? Honestly, that line is needed.
“Meanwhile, Benny is in prison”
*Benny: is 10 years old*
unfortunately, kids can go to prison
@@kayleealexis4801 and go where, to prison? No thanks.
Depending on the crime and where you live kids can be tried as an adult
I mean the system is unfair
Benny is also black the system is known for trying black kids as adults and being unfair
I seriously need some Jaime French merch with some classic sayings like "Let the okay times roll" and "Just a beige Becky".
For sure! Her intro logo would be bomb!
YES!!!!
Haha just a beige becky 😂😅 I would wear that
Yes please!!!
The makeup and movies merch says let the okay times roll!! Lol
Jamie please continue to enter yourself into scenes. It improves my day.
I totally spit my water out on the Uncle Jessie clip 🤣🤣🤣. Jamie you are so cleverly funny with all your jokes and punch lines. I could watch you read the phone book. You would make it funny some how. Either with funny voices or funny looks to the camera. We love you here in Wichita, KS. Keep up the good work girly!!!
“Do dancers get paid for auditions in the music world?”
Oh sis, we barely get paid for dancing. 😂 but high key this movie is so important to the dance community haha.
Why is it that important?
I wanted to dance when I was a kid and everyone told me not to bother because they are "some of the most over worked and underpaid people in entertainment."😬
Why is it important?
@@cristianacevedo178 it’s important cause this movie inspired a lot of people to join the understudy and reflects a little of how it is. People who dance and I don’t mean oh I can do tic tock or any other basic ass dance, look to these movies like and step up and dream of being in these movies. They shine light on a profession and culture that the person of this video is making fun off in the most ignorant way.
As a dancer, I agree that this movie was so inspiring when I was little and made me dream of being in music videos. But it's also funny to watch it back and notice the cringey parts and all that.
Jessica's teeth were the real star of this show.
Right!?😂
Yuppppp
the noises and steps when they dance kill me lmao
Right with no music too 😆 I am 💀
@@katallen7123 yes hahaha
The fart sounds!
@Vi Ku Same tho lol.
I can't be mad at Alba for trying so hard and looking so adorable while she's doing it. Seriously, her early 2000 fits do it for me. 💜
Move to the back seat, anxiety. We’re picking up Jaime and she called shotgun on todays car ride!
Same lol I cannot breathe but I know Jaime will make my day
Best COMMENT ever!!!!
Omg...same. I'm waiting on news about a house I put an offer on and watching this is SO helping my anxiety!
Yaaaass🤣
NO WAY! I just wrote a love letter to Jaime about her curing my anxiety as well!
"We can go live with uncle jesse?"
*Cuts to John Stamos.*
- literal tears
This took me out 😂😂😂
Would have been such a different movie if that was the plot :)
Made my day!! 😍
That really was the cherry on top of an already delicious hot fudge sundae, ya know? Her editing process must take forever but it's VERY appreciated right now. Going through a really bad time and watching stuff like this is helping me and my mental health at the very least. Thank you @JaimeFrench for all your hard work, you are helping so many people like me who are suffering and we get to escape into a little bit of comedy for a second.
Her edits are literally the best!
"Her pug has a frog attached to it" lmao idk why but that made me lose it
Same! 🤣
Here 2 years later and girl you are still my fav…you’re such a genius who is super talented and amazing…keep doing your thing regardless of demands and always bring your self first Jaime 🤘🏼
The sound effects with the dance moves.... hysterical! I’m dying.
"She's got a banana pony - things are looking up!" lmao
Can we just give a big round of applause for the scheduled ad breaks? I honestly never see anyone else do this, they just cut off mid sentence and it's disconcerting. I miss premium!
alright, i'm glad i'm not the only one who was obsessed with lil' romeo as a kid. he was a cutie, but always overshadowed by lil bow wow.
“We don’t need to change Cutie, WE 👏🏻 JUST 👏🏻 NEED 👏🏻 TO 👏🏻 WALK 👏🏻 HIM 👏🏻 HOME!” My mama heart is screaming yesssssssssss. 🥺 ETA: Aaliyah??? 😭😭😭 I didn’t know that - it makes so much sense now. That would’ve been so good.
I never knew it was gonna be Aaliyah originally :( that's sad.
Seeing the talent that was featured it makes total sense. Aaliyah and Missy would have had great chemistry. I actually really like Alba but she was miscast. Plus this movie is so damn cheesy.
@@DylanRomanov I think Alba was cast because she was a household name back then. her series Dark Angel took off massively, but it was an action-packed series about super soldiers and futuristic stuff, so I think she was really out of her element.
edit: I googled and apparently the director wanted Beyonce for Honey but she turned him down because she was busy with Dangerously In Love, lol.
There is not a *single* time that the addition of Prince's "Unnhh!!" doesn't make me die laughing. Every. Single. Time. =D
Yessss!
I laughed so hard at that part!
the clumsy falling on stairs thing is a way they try to humanize these gorgeous women, make them feel relatable to us normals lol
Apparently that was actually not part of the script-she genuinely tripped and they kept it
@@toxxicrose and they kept it in to make her relatable, it's full circle. It really is relatable though because I am constantly tripping and bumping into things and have fallen going up stairs many times with once having to go to the ER because I fell going up and then as I was getting my bearings I fell down the stairs hitting my head and twisting up my body which isn't good when you have chronic pain conditions that get triggered bad by physical stress, thankfully it was just a lot of bruised muscles and no concussion.
@@gsd715 Totally agree! And I am sorry to hear about your fall! Glad to hear no major injuries
Okay but I'm going to need more hot girls to clip their shoulders on walls for no good reason or break their toes on door frames because not all of us live a stairs life, thanks.
@@rtw8609 or pull a push door 🤣
You had me laughing so hard I was crying. I'm glad you did this, because I only watched this movie up to the part where Honey and her date go hang out in the barber shop. I feel I can sleep better now knowing how it all turned out...LOL!
I'm a 52 year old woman from Norway, and I never ever watch videoes where people talk about movies. Except for yours. I am probably very far from your "target audience", but I just love your point of views, that you notice every little out of place detail, and your comments. You are really entertaing and so very funny! Thank you! 👌❤️
I'm 52 and I love her videos, too 😊
Hi Jamie is great she is funny and entertaining lol
💯 agree!
Helge. You are incredibly beautiful. Greetings from Germany.
The scene in the barbershop is talking about how she would have been 14 when she got pregnant with him since she’s 22 and that she’s not that kind of girl to get pregnant so young...
I was just thinking that
Thank you came to make sure someone explained it for Jaime 😂
It's how she says it that is what Jaime was talking about.
@mirisparkleslikewhoa she said that woulda or would’ve but you just can’t hear the “a”
no I got that, but it was still kinda weird and a really weird assumption on her part.
I lost it when you cut to John Stamos as Uncle Jessie 😂😂
Me too 😂😂😂😂
Please turn Jessica saying, “the flava’s tight!” into a meme 😆
*hot
😅
“That material that gives you pit stains when you’re not even sweating”
We *all* know what you mean. The worst
My old Hollister graphic tees all did this 😂
Anybody remember all the dance movies around this time?!? “Step Up”
“Save the last dance”
I watched Save the Last Dance probably about 8,000 times when I was younger lol.
My husband and I just watched Step Up 2 the other day. What an absolutely divine dumpster fire. 🔥
Centerstage!
Stomp the Yard! All of these are golden! I have a collection of them that I'm not ashamed to admit 😍
@@sroebuck117 I love Stomp the Yard! Quality!
The sound effects in this gave me life
Also, Laurie Ann Gibson was a choreographer on Making The Band and she was Lady Gaga's choreographer for the first couple years of her career.
Her saying “he’s 8 that would make me 14” means she would have been 14 when she had him
Yeah that's what I thought. Her saying "I'm not that kinda girl" was a little disapointing to me... like okay girl things happen, a little respect please it doesn't make you less worthy. But it was another time I guess...
I heard, "That would have made me 14." 🤔
I wish she had said “that would have made me 14 when I had him” and then people like me would have got it 😂
@@jaimefrenchofficial totally agree😂😂😂

Just knowing that Aaliyah was supposed to play Honey makes me want to see it with her in it 😭😭😭 I could totally see her in this film 🥺

And the sneakers squeaking 🤣
Please do a review on The Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants 🙏🏼 watching this movie as an adult is so cringe 😆 and your reviews are the only ones that count
Funniest review ever! I've been watching a ton of your movie reviews and this one had me belly laughing way too much. Thank you!
Knowing this was supposed to be Aaliyah it kinda makes more sense.
Ahhhhhh
Actually the role was suppose to go to Beyoncé but she was on tour when filming was about to start but my thing is why Jessica Alba she not musically talented or a great actress very confusing lol 😂
Aaliyah would have made the movie so much better ❤️❤️
@@reenanewby4568 musically talented. Dancing is not music. She played a dancer. Dancing is a separate art. Jessica Alba was and still is a very popular sex symbol. She can act just fine and has the ability to dance and look sexy at the same time. Thats why she got the role.
@@SatinePlays well, it would have made more sense and I think it would have been better received. Nothing against Jessica.
