They never have coaches. Why? You couldn’t have sewing circle without an advisor. No way they are allowing literal children to be thrown in the air without at least one adult around.
I love how movie/ tv shows have cheerleaders do the most dangerous stunts with no adult coach in sight. Having full acrobat techniques and moves with only slightly older children around chaperoning.

yo lowkey I think Hayden P. makes such weird noises because one of her first gigs was dubbing Kingdom Hearts and she had to make all those anime grunts, so I think that's just what acting is to her now. (RIP Hayden P. as Kairi, they both deserved better)
It blows my mind how in the 80s you'd watch those old 60s shows and movies....and that's how kids today would see Bring it On and it shakes me to my core.
That's how I think of it to, to put it in perspective. Nick at Night premiered when I was in middle/high school so that's how I saw 50s-70s sitcoms. So that's samesies for schoolkids watching Friends on Netflix and these movies. Oh Lord.
I always think about how That 70s Show premiered in 1998, and took place in 1976 at the beginning of the series. I was 16 at the time - the same age as the kids on the show. I literally grew up with them, and actually formed quite an attachment to 70s culture. I even have an authentic original 1970 orange shag carpet in my wood paneled basement sitting next to our wood burning fireplace and our record player. Now if they were to make a show about the time when I was sixteen, which again, was 1998, and if the time difference was 22 years between the production of the show and the time in which it takes place, like That 70s Show did, it would have premiered last year, in 2020. This blows my mind. Also, did you know there is a car that runs on water? It runs on water, man!
Why did you have to say something so mean! 😉😂💀😭😭 But seriously being around a middle school or high school age person is beyond a sad especially if you don't have kids and not around them in any age. I realize that friends who were pregnant 10-16 years ago that I haven't seen in almost 10 years now have kids who are teenagers now! The real mind twist for me is that in 2004 my husband was 19 and I had just turned 18 when we met (got married a few months later, it was online dating love at first sight) and if we had kids then or even a few years into our relationship that we could have a TEENAGER! I just started feeling like an adult when I turned 31 so the idea that I could have a child any older than 3 is too much for me. Time and thinking how everything related to it is a real brain twister.
@@heatherruth6734 I think about this too! There's no way it can be right that that kids these days have the same relationship to the 90s as we did to the 70s 😭😭😭 I feel 100 years old

Seriously give this woman a job in advertising. I've literally never wanted audible from any of the other ads I've seen but the way she portrays it, I'm thinking about giving it a go lol.
Brittany knows hes been cheating on her because one of her friends calls and tells her. The worst part is it's not a "you need to confront that jerk" kind of conversation it's a "you better do something to make sure you hold on to him" kind of conversation!
Yes, Brad was a jerk who was only after one thing…..sleeping around with girls. But Britney kind of did the same thing. She technically cheated by kissing Jesse on the mouth. But at least Jesse is a much better guy than Brad.
@@amylee8969 yes Britney & Brad were both in the wrong. Cheating is never okay under any circumstances. It’s not like Britney & Jesse slept together but she was being a little flirty with him and Brad & Winnie were sleeping together behind Britney’s back. One thing is at least Britney backed away from Jesse quickly and realized what she was doing and that she was being unfaithful
Hayden Panettwhatever was like the beauty standard poster girl of the 2000s who mysteriously vanished into thin air after the decade was over. And every Hispanic girl was named Lety.
I wouldn't say she disappeared. She still does the Scream movies and between those she did a TV show. Her profile definitely got scaled back once she aged out of teen movies but she's still around.
I like how they were like “well maybe if she’s really tall, people will confuse that with being fat,” in terms of Briana. Like no, she’s just taller than all of them lol

I admit, this movie was a guilty pleasure of mine, lol. But I also hadn't paid attention to any of the issues with it -- and probably would watch it again anyway. But you're so accurate about this film that it's hilarious. Also, on the note of Hayden training for three weeks: to be fair, she's played a cheerleader, like...at least 3 times, lol.
I actually liked this movie back in 2006. But to be fair, I was a teenager in high school and most kids around that age have weird taste in stuff. But I can see why as an adult, this film would be laughable and a bit controversial.
I still remember seeing the girl that plays Kirresha on Zack and Cody... she was Moseby's niece. They had a cheerleading episode and she did like a back walkover and a major toe touch....she's amazing!
Yeah, her name is Giovanni. She was in many shows and movies during that era. She was also in freedom writers and the 00s remake of “All That” on Nickelodeon.
Also Lettie/Francsia was in Secret life of an American teenager and life size 2. This was her only cheer roll. Also was the person who gave Selena Gomez her kidney

I am so shocked when I go back to childhood movies and see people they used to call “fat” and how I as a child internalized they were “fat” too. Now when I see them they are usually skinny. So wild that body was seen as not skinny and that I believed that at the time too. Same with the sleepover movie.
Even as a kid I was like "um, that's not fat though?" And I remember my mom and even dad piping up about it too. We would watch teen movies together and then discuss. It made topics about drugs, consent, teen bullying, etc less awkward somehow.

This was Hayden Panettiere's era. From Heroes, to voice acting gig in kingdom hearts, then this movie 😂 She also dated her costar Milo Ventigmilia who was like twice her age when she was in highschool age. That would never pass these days and somehow people forgot about that
@@KiraBKADestroyerOfWorldsdo you think they got confused about a movie and real life? They’re talking about something that happened before she filmed this movie. Slow 😂
Nope! By todays standards, she would have had the perfect body. But honestly, mean girls will constantly look for ways to tear down and belittle other girls to make themselves feel superior. Regina George did the same thing with Gretchen and Karen.

Race in the original was translated through the problematic practice of cultural appropriation. This sequel, however, said nothing critical on race. All it did was consistently label ppl and present offensive stereotypes.
If we’re trying to find a deeper meaning, the way I see it is that Winnie isn’t just the villain because she backstabbed Britney, but because she was racist and consistently undermined the other team because they’re black. And it was the inclusion of krumping that lead them to win. Anyways I just think this movie is hilarious

They never have coaches. Why? You couldn’t have sewing circle without an advisor. No way they are allowing literal children to be thrown in the air without at least one adult around.
That's a good point.
I love how movie/ tv shows have cheerleaders do the most dangerous stunts with no adult coach in sight. Having full acrobat techniques and moves with only slightly older children around chaperoning.
You have obviously never been to a small town high school 😂

As an actual plus size person I remember it being so damaging in media growing up that they would pick a thin actress and just assign her a “fat” label. I remember thinking if that person is fat, then what am I??? I’m so glad body shaming is something people are more aware of and work not to do now
Our cheerleading captain was a fat girl. The dumbest thing I ever heard was that fat girls can’t be cheerleaders. Because I saw it with my own eyes she was fucking amazing
Or that phase when a bunch of movies put thin actors in fat suits.
Or maybe lose some weight? And then you wouldn’t feel bad about yourself, AND even more importantly, you’ll be healthy!
@@ellamayoxoxo9510 Does OP feel bad about herself for being plus sized, or does she feel bad because people were rude about her being plus sized? Or perhaps she doesn't actually feel bad about herself at all now...especially since people are less rude about it now.
@@ellamayoxoxo9510 sure, its that simple. "Just lose some weight." Next you can tell depressed people to "just be happy"
First of all, the original Bring it on is one of my favorite movies of all time, and secondly.... these videos have to take you FOREVER to make.... so thank you for that because they are amazing.
Literally the last movie of bring it on is awfull
I hate all the forced sexual harrassment. Just like the racism, all the innuendos are so FORCED. It's too in your face, no subtly at all 🙄
It's like all the reality shows from late '90s to early 2000s
Forced sexual harassment is a weird phrase for obvious reasons
The bring it on with Gabrielle Union and Kirsten Dunts was a classic IDC. And the one with Hayden Pennitierre (the infamous dance scene) is HORRENDOUS! I cant believe as a kid that I thought that akward dance scene was the hottest most iconic dance off ever 😂😂😂
I remember laughing my ass off at the Hayden version lol. I hope Jaime reviews the one with the latina girl next lol (sorry her name escapes me!)

@@RedRoseSeptember22 that one is HORRENDOUS. Worst movie in the series. A dumpster fire, a true career killer. It had to be seen to be believed. I really like the first bring it on and out of the rest of the series I like In it to win it the most. But the other ones, trash.

Missed mistake -- If Amber broke her elbow...she's in the wrong cast. An elbow cast would cover, you know, her elbow. That cast is for a broken wrist
I was just thinking this, she's bending her elbow over and over lol
The whole movie was a Mistake.
I broke my elbow. They can't put it in a cast because it's a joint. She would have a bandage over her elbow.
@@cheesetoasty5139 They certainly used to. I broke my arm as a kid in the 90's (right above my elbow) and the joint was in a full-on cast for the entire healing time. Maybe its less common now, but it wouldn't have been out of the question back then.
@@cheesetoasty5139 If you break a joint surely you aren’t supposed to move it, right? Do they just cover it up and go “Alright that’s it. Try not to move lol”

yo lowkey I think Hayden P. makes such weird noises because one of her first gigs was dubbing Kingdom Hearts and she had to make all those anime grunts, so I think that's just what acting is to her now. (RIP Hayden P. as Kairi, they both deserved better)
And Dot from a Bugs Life
Is this true??? I'm speechless.
Ohh yeah that would make sense then
This is a great catch

It’s so true I feel like I’m watching a TV show 😂
Brittany knows hes been cheating on her because one of her friends calls and tells her.
Brad was a pos and only wanted 1 thing, and Winnie was a fake friend for sneaking around with Brad behind Britney’s back.

She also played Samantha in Until Dawn in 2015
She got married and had a baby

I admit, this movie was a guilty pleasure of mine, lol. But I also hadn't paid attention to any of the issues with it -- and probably would watch it again anyway. But you're so accurate about this film that it's hilarious.
Also, on the note of Hayden training for three weeks: to be fair, she's played a cheerleader, like...at least 3 times, lol.
I actually liked this movie back in 2006. But to be fair, I was a teenager in high school and most kids around that age have weird taste in stuff. But I can see why as an adult, this film would be laughable and a bit controversial.
Yeah the first movie and this one are like my guilty pleasures, so great honestly
I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT WITH THE ADDED SOUNDS DURING THE “CRUMP OFF”
I still remember seeing the girl that plays Kirresha on Zack and Cody... she was Moseby's niece.

This movie came out when I was maybe 10 or 11, but even at 11, I didn't think Brianna was fat at all. I was so confused at them saying she was fat.
The Prince sound bite gets me every time 😂

I am so shocked when I go back to childhood movies and see people they used to call “fat” and how I as a child internalized they were “fat” too. Now when I see them they are usually skinny. So wild that body was seen as not skinny and that I believed that at the time too. Same with the sleepover movie.
This is why I struggled with ED for most of my middle and high school years!!!
Even as a kid I was like "um, that's not fat though?" And I remember my mom and even dad piping up about it too. We would watch teen movies together and then discuss. It made topics about drugs, consent, teen bullying, etc less awkward somehow.
