Thank you for this. I have a '17 SDGT and the service manual does NOT mention the radiator relief screw which makes perfect sense to remove while filling. The manual also does a shit job of indicating the engine drain screws and where they are. I also raised it exactly 50cm for filling (not) which is far to high to do with anything I had - I wound up using a PitBull front stand extended all the way on top of some 2x10 boards. It will have to do. I tried to figure out how to use a hydraulic car jack but it would have been too unstable - plus there's not an obvious lifting point far enough forward. Thanks again. My wife appreciated me using her towels like you showed us... I got about 2.5+ liters in so obviously some remains in the system, Oh well.

I had a similar experience with my 2018 SDR coolant change. When I drained it from the pump it did appear to come out clear but when I put it in a clear container it was a pale orange. The coolant in the header tank was bright pink. I checked the radiator level before I drained it and it was about 70mm below the cap. It seems the header tank was never in use, the level just went up and down when hot and cold. I too could only get 2.5 liters back in.

Same situation. I bought my 2021 Tiger 900 rally pro used with just under 6k miles and had the exact same issue.... You should do the same vid when you need to eventually flush your Tiger, only 1 vid out there. Also, Getting Triumph branded coolant is difficult in the US and It's quite a rabbit hole when its come to branded Triumph coolant vs non branded.

Thanks for the idea. Forget branded. I went to ravenol, asked for oat or hoats coolant.
