Ever wonder what the difference between 1911 and 2011 was?
At Shot Show 2022 I went to the Staccato booth and had them answer that question for you since they make 2011’s

“Why is 16 the magic number?”
“It’s what we could fit”
Love it lol
That’s pretty standard. And considering the 2011 is a mostly competition gun who gives a fuck.
@@bochapman1058 also I use a 9 capacity magazine because Walthers are relatively small, so 16 sounds really good to me. I’m not a guy who has 20 guns I have my rifle for hunting (AR-15 nothing special) my range pistol (.357 8” S&W) and my cc (walther) 🤷
That's what fits in the CZ 75B. I know cause I have one.
@@chrisquiett1776 oh yeah I get it. I only have a range 9mm carbine and a short barrel shotgun for home d. I definitely would want as much ammo as possible whenever I have a edc pistol.
Anyone who thinks they need more than 6 is just LARPing. If 6 rounds of holy 45 LC wasnt enough then 10 more volleys of spray and pray from your 9mm popgun isnt going to make any difference. Worry about your shot groups, not magazine capacity.
Great thing about firearms is there's never just one gun. I can get a single stack 1911 for the classic feel, another guy can get a double stack 2011 to be up to date modern day. There's no wrong answer to what we want in our day-to-day carry. We all can pick and choose what we want in our firearms.
9mm Glock double stack
.45 ACP 1911 single stack
Even a revolver is a valid choice.
No gun is a wrong choice.
@@tyrellwashington747 Even then, there are still like 3-4 good hipoint guns, well okay guns, but I mean your buying hipoint for the cheap price not the quality anyway
Flintlock pistols. That is a wrong choice today and will be for the foreseeable future.
But for al that money u better get Double Stack 2011 in 45 .not no dam puny 9mm
@@TheRealZJE313 Hey that's why I went for the double stack 10mm.
@@Enemy_Operator2534 It definitely is the right choice for honor, style, gentlemanliness, and for honoring our forefathers
Thanks for your commitment to 2A and your great videos! Blessings to you and your family!
A double stack 10mm “2011” would be real hard to pass up for me, especially with 357 Sig and standard 40 drop-in barrel options.
Guess I’m stuck with my ol DW for the time being..
STI makes a bunch of guns in 38 super too. Another hot round.
I think Rock Island Armory makes a 2011 in 10mm
@@eggr1ce374 it's just an A2 frame. I thought it was a 2011 but technically it's a 1 piece steel frame. Still though I have 16 rounds of 10mm in a standard magazine.
@@eggr1ce374 The 52009 RIA (5") Rock Ultra FSHC Double Stack 10mm (16+1) is actually a 1911 .... An all metal Pistol
They also have 6" version; the 52000 PRO Ultra 16+1 "Big Rock"
As the Guy in the Video said; a 2011 is a HiCap, 2 piece Ploy Grip / Alloy Framed on the "1911" platform
@@coreydudley2256 No, they use a 16 round, Double Stack (Para Ordinance style) Magazine
I love your conversational manner. Keep doing what you do.
Cool that 1911 is sort of the common ancestor of modern of all these cool handguns we love to watch guys review and shoot today. I'm still tormented daily about buying a 1911 or not just to appreciate what they are. The Rapide, the Ronin, the Emissary, Colt Competition SS bunch of other ones are just so artistically beautiful.
I have the Ronin and it is one of the best shooting pistols in my collection. I highly recommend it.
Buy it. You only live once.
Get one. I doubt you will regret it.
1911 jams all the time as well. If it’s clean and you grip it correctly it’s great but sand and a limp wrist makes it’s useless. I trust my smith and Wesson .357 a lot more than my 9mm 1911. I’m just a fanboi because historically it was an awesome innovation. There were semi automatics prior but it took history by storm because of the US military
@@chrisquiett1776 I love history. My grandpa was the third son of a family that had the original family homestead farm ranch in the upper Snake River Valley. He and his brothers would stay out with the cattle all summer in wolf and grizzly country from time he was about ten. His whole life all he carried was a Colt 1911 I'm pretty sure from the 20s or 30s and a double barrel shotgun. I asked him to go with me when I got my first Glock in the 90s which he bought for me. I asked him why he didn't upgrade and he said mine works just fine, no need to get something new just for the hell of it. People don't realize that firearms especially where I grew up were part of supporting families and protecting things like cattle even a generation ago. God Bless America is all I can say.
Always informative. You do great work.
Your videos are always very informative, thank you
*Colion Noir* Very nice, thank-you sir for taking the time to show us. God Bless.
Love both. Thanks for a great video man.
I love the passion you have for firearms.
Great video. It was short, sweet, and to the point. Good job! 👊🏿
Love this channel keep up with what you're doing love the knowledge
These are really great shooters, the 16 round mag fits the C2, and the C2 will run the P’s 17, and 21 round mags. Both P and C2 use the bigger red dots, I run the Trigicon SRO on the C2 and the Delta Point Pro on the P, both easy to acquire the dot quickly. They do require more care in cleaning as there so tightly matched. Great fun to ring a plate at 100 even 200 yards, I miss more than I hit, but you have to try it…
You use an SRO on your C2? I am thinking about having an optic cut done for mine but am debating between an RMR or the RMRcc. It's what I have on every other pistol but I would love having a bigger view. Now you have me thinking. Seems like that would be huge on my C2??!
@@mattysmall22 you’re pretty much looking at a similar footprint of a Glock 19. The Dawson plates allow you to mount full sized optics on the c2 duo’s
For people who want the features of a Glock but the grip angle of a 1911.
I'm all for it!
Matthew Small i ran the SRO on a C2 for a while and loved it

Thank you for all you Colion. Appreciate you Man.
Holy crap my dream came true!!!! I literally just made a post about a week ago asking if he's shot the staccato p! Crazy! My staccato is my absolute favorite gun I have, it's just so effortless and beautiful to shoot!!
@@Embarrassed4U absolutely incredible guns huh?
@@Embarrassed4U I have wanted the c2 as my edc for a while. but there's this part of my brain that says "if I get that for edc and then have to use it, even though I'm uscca backed, I'm sure the gun will be confiscated and I'll be arrested at first, (BC F ILLINOIS) but what if I never get that gun back enough though I'm innocent and cleared of any wrong doing" I have heard of guys that never got their gun back or it was "lost" . Keep up the good work.
Mr.Noir just so you know I NEVER get notifications on your uploads and am subbed. Not sure if that’s happening with anyone else, but a couple other channels I watch are supposedly “shadow-banned”

Great question’s ! Love your support
Even just watching you manipulate those slide on these you can see how smooth these really are
Ran the C2 at the range today… it’s awesome!
Thank you for the info. Now I know the difference. I was curious about that. Thanks again
Awesome stuff!
I just picked up the C2 Duo Limited, love it, my best acquisition thus far! 2.5 lb trigger pull, treaded bull DLC barrel heaven! Thinking of the XC as my next buy. Right now just loving my C2

Nice video and very informative and very entertaining and very satisfaction more videos.
I have both and love both 1911 45c Springfield especially love the Staccato C2 9mm
Great vid as always. I'm so surprised you haven't done a review on the Staccato as of yet.
This is a joke right. I have never won anything.
This is the only video that I can find that shows the new grip texture up close and from all directions. Thank you.
I wish they mentioned it or clarified what’s going on with it: options, availability, can you choose which grip when ordering, etc.
@@dknollRX7 seeing as they got rid of the tree bark texture after they released the current one,I would assume it will become stock.
@@Moses-mm2yk well this one is the third iteration. There was the tree bark one, then the current one has stars on it (I think) and the newly debuted one has more of a stippled look to it. If you go onto their website, it doesn’t clarify which grip you get and it shows the second Gen grip texture on some pics, and the newest on other pics.

So many choices! I can’t decide between the C2, the P and the XL.

This is pretty interesting. Always been interested in buying a 1911 of some sort to go along with the PX4 Storm. I'll have to take a look at these 2011 pistols as well.
Mr. Noir, I liked the video, as I tend to like most of your videos, but I thought you over worked that slide. From what I saw, I can say it’s a smooth operating gun! I’m down the street from those guys, I might have to pick me one up. Thanks again for doing what you do!
Pretty nice stuff!!
My dream 1911 is a double stack "2011" style gun with a 7.5 inch threaded barrel and long slide chambered in 460 Roeland.
what a stupid cartridge lol
@@deandalapanda mid range 44 magnum power in a package that can be used in something easier to handle than a Desert Eagle kinda of makes your own statement kinda stupid and ignorant.

So I always enjoy seeing new guns and all your new content however could you start doing some videos on Range gear.
Like different types of range bags that are nice to have or rifle bags cases that kind of stuff? When I go to the range I like to be organized and have everything ready to go so that I can do what I want to do when I get there. Thank you
Good stuff
Just received my P, and its so smooth.
Thank you again
They are fine pistols. I have shot the C2 and P and they are amazing. If you can afford one I would get one. C2 is same size as G19. I would get C2 Duo (optics cut) and a threaded barrel.
I picked up a C2 Duo optics cut/threaded barrel slightly used(less than 50 rounds through it) for just under $2k. I have a CGS Nautilus 45 can in jail I’m waiting on which I’ll be able to use on my USP 45 Tactical & C2. Not sure what optic yet.
Great video
Thank you
Nothing like a good ole' 1911!! Great trigger and accurate!!
Still like the 1911 and 1991 Commander. Used a .45 - 1911 since 1971. Just love the feel of it.
just curious, have you shot a 2011? I used to think that my springfield trp full rail was a dream to shoot but my staccato P blows it out of the water.
@@showstaz I never have shot a 2011 but I would imagine the feel is very similar to a 1911. I say that because my pistols of choice are 1911s. Not because I think they are better than many more modern pistols. They have their good and bad points like any gun. It's the feel and pointability of the 1911 to me that has no equal. That makes them better than pretty much any more modern design to me. A 9mm double stack built in rhe image of John browning baby would probably be just fine. Kinda partial to 45 though.
@@pcad2610 ergonomics and pointability of a 1911 with less recoil. If your local range has a rental i would definitely give it a shot.
At 2 minutes in this video is this Colion's gun room? if so, did i miss the video of his showing it to us?? looks fantastic!
It took staccato four days to get my p to my FFL. I ordered it 12/20/21 and it was at the my FFL Christmas Eve. That fast track is insane 😂
I thought the 2011 was that crazy double barrelled one they made. The one that sent the rear sights flying off after a couple of mags.
Other guy: literally says anything
Colion Noir: "gotchaaa"
That looks nice, Im getting one.
All it takes is one range session to appreciate the Love for a SA 1911 style trigger!
Eurooptic huh? That is how an ad should be done! A sponsor that is short and to the point. Nice
Colion loved racking that, buttery smooth, slide.
How tall is that guy?! No idea how tall Colion is but boy does he make him look small
He's Nigerian....and whites love him...so he's just short...
I like it. Classic look fast forwarded.
I may need to get some funds allocated for this.
Good video 👍
Finally Colion did a review of a double stack STI.
When it comes to guns your videos are my favorite. Right off the bat they are informative, not a lot of stupid crap.
It's too bad that the pricetags on 2011's is through the roof, well into the $3000 Dollar range. Even trying to build one from parts you pick on your own is crazy expensive....IF you can find the parts at all.
It's the only reason I've never really been into them... it does suck.
Meanwhile I have a g40 MOS and g41 MOS. Both with red dots, flashlights, chest rigs and lots of spare mags still cost half of what these dudes want.
I picked up a second hand duo P for $1900 which isn’t crazy in comparison to what I have put in Glocks and 320’s to try and get thenclose
I cringe when i hear someone genuinely complain that the Lamborghini Huracan they really want should be cheaper when the Nissan Dealership with 6 GTRs on the front lot is right down the street. Same with staccato/2011. Buy a Rock Island.
@@SectionChief It doesn't matter which brand of 2011 you choose, or if you choose to go the parts route, it's still stupid expensive. When just an unfinished Aluminum grip is $600 or more, and a Carbon Fiber grip is $1000 or more, there's a pricing problem. By the time you buy the frame, slide, grip, and all the rest of the parts, you're still above $2000, and probably well into the $2500 range.
Comparatively you can fully outfit a Glock with a custom machined long slide with red dot cut, comp, magwell, adjustable trigger, and a high end red dot for under $1750. Same with a Sig P320.
2011's and their parts are priced stupidly high for no logical reason.
I drool over these at my LGS. Maybe one day...
Love it
I really enjoyed this video and I hope you get a chance to review one soon.
I am old school and like the 1911. I am also old school and like the .45 ACP
Now I also just love guns wish I could own one of everything

You the best!
Lemme know when you make one in .45 .. I'll keep 9mm for my non 1911 guns
I’m kinda like you on caliber but I have a 9mm 1911 and it’s nice! I kid you not! I do want a 1911 .45 double stack compact for carry though!
@@MrFmccarty rock island makes one, but it, like most examples of that, is FAT.
I can relate. Personally, I'm just so used to guns being chambered in their OG caliber that it feels wrong and awkward when its with a different one. For example, I only want my Glocks in 9mm (I can still rock with 10mm for it). For 1911s I only want them in .45 ACP. For the AR platform I only want 5.56 or .300 Blackout (I know the AR-10 came first but i'm more used to the 15). For SCARs I only want them in .308. You get the point.
@@bilbobaggins1934 a Thanks I need to broaden my scope. I’m so focused on a 1911. I like the Rock Island but good luck finding one.
@@MrFmccarty Italian Firearms group now sells the tangfolios now, I’d seriously recommend those over the rock island, as rock island typically need a little work to get them working well. Also the tangfolios don’t require a barrel bushing to take the gun apart to clean.

That 2011 looks clean AF.
I freaking just love the reception you get your a great representation for black shooters‼️💯💯🔥🔥
I bought a used Infinity in .40 SW that had about 20 million miles on it but it was just as accurate and reliable as the day it was built. The only pistol I've that will consistently clear a plate rack at 50 yards.
