Having shot one, bought one, and gifted it to my dad for his birthday I can say yes, yes it is. The caveat is it comes back to me in the end.
Err....my birthday is coming up...in January. Just saying. lol. You are a good son
I would like to adopt you, Josh. I really do!
....in the end. Got a bit morbid there.
A gun is one of the few items that can help you stay in possession of it.
I want to do the same 🔥🙏🏾
I bought one for my husband for our anniversary, after shooting his, I have asked for one for Christmas. I absolutely love it.
Damn that’s badass!
What a wife!
I don’t leave comments often but this video pushed me to want a Staccato P. Today I just shot it for the first time after my Wife gifted me one. I want to say thanks Colion it really is a cheat code and life changing!!!!!
Being a huge fan of the 1911 style this was a must buy. Even though it is out of my normal budget the increased cost is worth every penny. I purchased a C2. The trigger is nothing short of phenomenal. Get one before you can’t !!
Congratulations 🎉 you just got yourself a spot at my give away coming up

I'm sure it's a great gun, but this review is kind of lacking lol
"It's good! It's so good! The trigger is mwah! It's good! It inspires confidence! It's excellent!" Is basically the whole review lol.
@@jonslg240 For the right money, he’ll say that about any product. He’s lost all objectivity.
@@markkravig7410 I don’t know whether he does or not, but Staccato sure as hell isn’t paying me, and I can tell you the gun really is that good.
@@jonslg240 super short, crisp, light trigger. And it pulls straight back rather than a hinge.
And since the trigger is just a sled, very easy to DIY eliminate the takeup and overtravel. My staccato now has shorter travel than a mouse click.
You really just have to go rent or borrow one to understand how nice it is. Borrow a nice 1911 at a gunshop and you can peer into the staccato world a little
Currently this gun is $2100 for the kinda base model, not optic ready stainless threaded barrel. Not that bad for a world class 2011. Years ago I bought a STI Trojan 1911 lnib for $900 in 45 ACP (incredible gun) After the purchase I did some research on STI’s build process ( there’s a video tour of their factory in TX). I knew then that anything they produced would be of the highest build quality. Each component is crafted by a specialist in a specific dept. Frame guy, trigger assembly lady, etc. with the final product being inspected by a master gunsmith for any flaws. This was 9 or 10 years ago, I’m sure now things are at an even higher level. Especially with the feedback of dozens and dozens of world class competition shooters that use them now.
shout-out to the trigger assembly lady
Bought one, then immediately bought a second one while I could in WA state. Best pistol I’ve ever shot, let alone owned. I just don’t have any complaints - it’s just perfect.
This comment makes me want to buy it right now!

Picked up a staccato XL back in 2020 and it’s one of my favorite guns of all time. Staccato pistols are phenomenal and worth every penny in my humble opinion
Love watching your videos when you have a great gun and you are having FUN shooting and most any other time as well! Damn I was telling myself not yet, but now I am here. And soon so will this gun haha. Thanks Colion
I have never seen Colion this excited about any firearm ever. Now, maybe I have missed a video here or there but I sensed a real admiration and dare I say love?
He's positively giddy over the M1A SOCOM16 a few months ago.
@doughesson
He squealed and giggled like a little girl with the Ruger .454 Casull. Check that one out as it’s good for a laugh 😆 too
Oh I would that excited too if someone gave me a gun that cost over $2000 lol
Have you not seen the hellcat pro review ?
Run a gun without the optic and light.
Brrroooo!!! You hit this one on the head! Just came across this video and decided to hear your thoughts on this gun. I went to the range a few months ago to rent some sub compacts to help me decide what i wanted to buy. I had some rounds left to get rid of and rented the Stacatto. It was the most accurate shooting i ever had. It was the best shooting experience i ever had. My smile grew bigger every time i pulled the trigger. I want one in my collection. This video took me back to that day and put a huge smile on my face. Good job as always.
Thanks for the confirmation. Picking mine up in 2 weeks but in all steel . Excited !
I have a Stacatto P with the compensator. He is right about the compensator. That’s the only downside is the look of the comp. This a gun that an experienced shooter will appreciate and a new shooter will appreciate….both for the same reasons
as someone who has the older STI DVC Tactical i cant say enough about how absolutely amazing the 2011s are. i dont even shoot any of my other dozen handguns anymore.
I wanted a Staccato before I watched this video. Now I REALLY want one. Great video!
Bro, You got me straight up DROOLING over here. Man, I want one.
Thanks for making this video, I was literally at 2am on your page watching your initial video on when you picked up your P from Staccato. I just picked up my C2 yesterday and wanted to get some more insite on your view. There's something about the way Staccatos feel in your hand that makes it hard to put down
How do you like the c2
That pistol is a perfect carry for in your car because they just compliment each other very well
I think...I think I'm crying. I'm gonna play this video when my wife and I renew our vows.
I was suprised to see this same model at a local gunshop today. First time I have held one in my hands. Very sweet, and the trigger is just awesome. I know the compensator significantly reduces muzzle flip, but I have to admit, I am a sucker for the esthetics of that big stainless steel bull barrel showing at the muzzle end. Guess I will have to decide. I really want this gun.
My man Colion used to be a nerd lawyer who was anti gun. Now he needs to change his name to Colion Wick. Keep up the good work my man.
I've got a C2 and LOVE it, took it to a Carry Trainer Course, 4 days, almost 1000 rounds through it, no malfunctions, and jsut a GREAT shooting gun, when I'm home, it's my EDC. Can't decide if I want another C2 or a P.....(Gun Control, buying one when you really want two. )
Yessssssss been waiting for this review, more reviews
That was probably the the most fun I’ve had watching a gun review!
Yep, Staccato makes a damn fine piece. I have family that works for them. There's a reason the general design has been in production for over a hundred years.. Browning knocked it out of the park with the 1911, and the modern manufacturers have just stepped it up a notch with reliability and precision

Recoil looks very controllable, nice looking piece for sure
It's got a comp on it
9x19mm is not like a .45acp or .44magnum caliber. I own & shoot a few 9x19mm guns. Unless I shoot 9mm +P I rarely have any recoil or muzzle flash issues.
@@DavidLLambertmobile It's not necessarily a "recoil issue", you may be able to handle the recoil just fine but with some guns you'll feel it less and be able to do faster followup shots.
@@smokingcrab2290 shoots flat without a comp anyways.
I completely agree with you that this gun makes you a better shooter. It's simply because it's so easy to understand. The smoothness of the gun throughout the process of the firing a round gives the shooter very precise and accurate feedback. The balance of the gun gives you a easy time sensing the front of the gun allowing you intuitive understanding of the alignment of your aim. When one is paying attention this gun will show you what kind of mistakes you are making.
Been waiting for you to make this video
Got a Staccato C2 with all options.
Its dope. Probably the best production pistol on the market for edc. I can only think of full customs that might be better. And even then not by much.
Just picked this gun up this morning and what a firearm. After one day I know this is go to
I totally agree, I purchased an original STI Falcon (45 ACP) 4.25 inch command length in 1999 and carried it on duty till the end of my career 12/2016.
Love your channel and review. I just bought the P with threaded barrel with steel frame on their website and I can't wait until I get my hand on her.
I suppose when you approach it from the position that the 1911 ergonomics are probably the best original ergonomics in terms of theory applied to grip, trigger and action, the Staccato is what you say…it being a very modern rendition of Browning’s iconic design that other, designs either can’t quite manage equal in terms of shoot-a-biliary.
Beautiful firearm. I enjoy watching your skills and comfort with so many different firearms. Your knowledge shines through on how easily your muscle memory handle everything with skills, safety, and accuracy. Fantastic
Even the firing pin a piece of art.
for this purpose, I adopted much of T. Rex Arms principles, and apply their technique to my training.
Pistols and rifles, had I any inclination to continue my pursuit into firearms, I would be building a shotgun, however, since muzzle brakes on shotguns are unheard of, a light build would not be my focus.
I'm not sure what kind of customization for shotguns are out there, but having the gun I can flip to bird shot, and clay shooting are aspects of my arsenal I still lack.
Guns are versatile, and I focus on proper cartridges, and make sure my set includes every situation possible.
I have no idea how to get into mortars though... I can wait until I finish my .50 cal.
Haven’t even got past the ad and I can tell you the answer is yes.

I plan on getting one. The price tag holds me back. However, I realize that quality costs money.
Let me share my buying decision. I shot a C2 and a P alongside my previous EDC which was an M&P Shield. I got 5 times the A zone hits with either staccato than I did with my Smith. I had an epiphany - I felt ethically obligated to carry a staccato given what I now KNEW about how much more accurate I could be with a gun THAT I’D NEVER HANDLED BEFORE. My LGS happened to call me the very next day saying they got a couple of staccatos in, “do you want us to hold one for you?” Yeah, at that point, it’s like a sign or something.

I am super excited to try it!
Is the Staccato worth it? Or course! For as much as these guns cost, they work reliably and everything is tip top. There are even more expensive 2011’s out there that don’t work nearly as well. The Staccatos are pretty inexpensive compared to some other brands. But that’s still part of the problem. I’d buy a Staccato to have one in the collection but they’re still too expensive or carry. If police confiscate your property for some reason but don’t want to give it back, that amount of money is going to really hurt you. Especially if this is your only gun.
Only buy a gun like this if you can really afford it. For the price of one Staccato, you could have purchased a bunch of Glocks (or other medium price tier yet reliable polymer framed pistol/metal framed wonder 9mm), mags, ammo, some body armor, and got some bonafide training classes from a reputable source. That would probably serve you better than owning one solitary $5k Staccato. This is a gun for people who already own a bunch of guns, can afford the additional purchase, have stockpiles of other weapons/ammo/body armor, and are already trained. This isn’t really for people on a budget. Saving up that much money as a new gun owner to purchase a gun like that when you’re missing so many other skills and materials is doing yourself a disservice.

I hear people always say the “you’re better off buying a $500 glock and $1500 worth of ammo, than buying a $2000 gun”
While I see the point, I have to disagree to some point. A $500 glock with $1500 worth of ammo, sitting in your safe, isn’t worth anything other than the apocolapse. Same thing if you have 20 guns sitting in a safe not being shot. A $2000 gun that makes you WANT to go out and shoot and practice and train, now that is where it’s at.
A good shooting gun will make you a slightly better shooter. A gun that makes you train will make you an amazing shooter.
Furthermore, once I bought my Staccato, it spoiled me, and I don’t want to buy guns anymore, since I know what I have is better than any other gun the store has to offer. That peace of mind, and not buying 20 other guns is worth it.
My first was the P and like you said. It made me want to go shoot. My excitement was equal to what colion is expressing. I haven't bought anything else since. Besides more stacattos.

The short of my story is I “won” a gun and he wanted me to pay shipping cost at the tune of $135-$175 via PayPal or something similar. Thankfully it’s an easy pick for me right now… I don’t have the money, but if I did… idk. He was convincing to the point that I still wonder who it really was. I love Colion and his content. If this isn’t him, we need to find a way to let him know someone is screwing with his followers in his name. Best wishes…
If you have the money for it, get it.
Personally, I'd rather spend that much money on a high end AR (Nemo arms, B&T, etc.).
Congratulations 🎉 you just got yourself a spot at my give away coming up
