Hello my ole’ friend from the northeast. Hope all is well with you & your collection. Any OG copies from the 80’s lately? Haven’t had much time with mixing my records; just digging in the local shops and Antique malls. Every thrift store I see, I’m in there digging. Hoping to post more videos not that far apart; going to share some CD’s as well. Be on the lookout & appreciate you once again.

My friend; it’s a pleasure to hear from you again. Been absent for a while, but it’s great to embrace all the wonderful comments. It’s amazing that I’m still discovering 80’s lost music after so many years. Thinking about posting vinyl from 40 years ago - 1984 was HUGE! Stay tuned for that. Thanks again for your comment.

It’s a Passion for sure, Retro Godfather. I’ve been posting videos about 12 years now; started slow but it’s been so gratifying for me now. My beginning was Electro & Freestyle with some Synth -pop from my clubbing days. Juice & Surgery from WCWC from mid-80’s was essential jams for that era. In my collection, I also have He’s Bionic / The Fly which was their ‘86 release. I think their album was entitled “Mission Impossible” which I would like to add to my Electro section. The Electro West Coast vinyl is quite “pricey” these days. But I’m always on the lookout. Stay tuned for more because I’m thinking about posting vinyl from 1984 to celebrate 40 years of this Iconic era in music. Thanks for watching!
Great finds as always Klassicjam. Love to see some classic Sheffield scene bands here - ABC and of course Heaven 17, who recently played here in their hometown - I got to see Martyn Ware perform 'Being Boiled' on the same synthesiser he originally composed it on so many years ago. Penthouse and Pavement is a great album, my favourite track is 'Height of the Fighting' - it's almost an early electro track with the funky beat and rhythmic chanting. Looking forward to seeing what you pick up next!

Still undiscovered treasure from their LP’s; you inspire me to spin these gems and take another listen for sure. Especially the electro flavored track from Heaven 17. Penthouse & Pavement - a definitive track that was born before it’s time. This track has been sampled in songs in the last 15 - 20 years. I can’t remember if it was a duet with Alisha Keys & a rapper years ago that have a similar vibe to it. Appreciate you coming onboard once again for your inspiring comments. Great post again! The taking heads flower song is the cover with ape called naked. I am unhappy to say that I have 11 talking heads records on discogs want list and own zero. The flowers song is great. I like the Heaven 17 , ABC, Tom Tom club and Bryan Ferry pickups.

I hope you can get your Talking Heads collection kicked off soon. My 1st piece was “Speaking in Tongues” - excellent album with a HUGE track listing. My 2nd was Fear of Music - Love in Wartime is fantastic. I actually enjoy the ‘85 release of ABC’s “How to be a Millionaire” LP better than Lexicon of Love. “Let it Go” by Heaven 17 - ‘82 is a killer hit too. Man, I’m truly happy that you’re loving the 80’s vibe like me. Keep on rocking the beats, my friend. Hope the wait is not too long for the next one. Take care!

The repress of Tom Tom Club’s first album is a 2- record set featuring remixes on colored vinyl - pink, I think. Dead Or Alive has an alternate 12” version of You Spin Me Round called the Performance Mix …. Just in case you don’t have it already. You and I have the same Talking Heads albums and I, too, do not have the album with the monkee on the cover. Looking forward to your next finds.

I just LOVE “Spin Me Round” from the day I 1st heard this energizing musical madness till listening to it in my car TODAY!
