I have been asked quite a few times if my Frosted Bling Candle Holder could be made using Mod Podge instead of Super Glues. Well I put it to the test and the answer is yes. I also added a little glitter to give it extra bling. I hope that you find this video helpful and inspiring. You will also see where to purchase the plastic beads that I used and the name of the package. I have a suggestion: mix glitter into your Mod Podge. Paint it on and then ad your beads. The glitter will help camouflage any gaps and you don't have to keep going back and forth to patch. This is so beautiful. I never would have considered those floral beads. So creative.

I did this and glued an octagon mirror from the dollar tree onto the top part of the holder and then glued the crystal vase onto the mirror. OMGosh, the illuminance from the candle is amazing. I wish i could upload a picture to show you. Thank you for this creative idea, they turned out beautifully.

i was thinking of mixing the beads with the glue and do it like you would a glitter vase...maybe?
I thank u do a amazing job, i noticed how time comsuming getting the beads in place is so the glass wont show, but if u use the frosted glass spray paint then add beads bamm,,, will cut down the time plus in between beads glass wont show.

I’m loving this. Would like to do some for gifts.
I think doing two separate dips or layers may work best. Do a layer of beads without worrying about the holes then do a glitter dip to fill in the gaps, glitter fills the holes much easier than the beads and adds sparkle.Looks gorgeous though!
Thank you! By all means try it your way but the glitter would clump up in those spaces and take away from the look. I'm don't mind filling in the holes with more decorative fillers. You can use some glitter spray to add more sparkle to the finish piece. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for making an update on the Frosted Bling Candle Holder. I really appreicate it after seeing that this was not your favorite methods of making it. For that when I make mine I am going to call them “The Bev”. Which look do you like better the added glitter to give it extra bling or the other without? I did like the added touch with the votive holder. I did find this video helpful and inspiring from the crystal ball to where to purchase the plastic beads and the name of the package. I like this video very much it deserve two thumbs up. Again Thanks.

This is beautiful as well. I am a crafter myself and no I have never made a video bec I am too literal in my work(as I see you are as well) so I don’t want to make a video. Maybe as time goes by I will. Anyhow I think had you mod podge the entire vase and rolled it in the bowl of beads (it was definitely big enough for the purpose) the. That would’ve saved you so much time. Once that layer dried then spray mod podge in the vase and do a second later and repeat until you get your desired look. Just a suggestion for you to help save time. Once again I love these and I plan to make them and I will share them on here if that’s possible. I’ve never shared my pics on here so lmk if I’m able to please and good luck wit your crafting. 💜
I have gotten this advice so many times but here's the thing. If you apply mod podge and roll the vase in the beads you'll have a big ole mess on your hands with huge gaps everywhere. Feel free to try it and you'lll see what I mean. Thanks for watching :)

When gluing votive onto candle holder you can use hot glue along with e6000 as well

My question on this is could this be spray painted before adding glitter?

Beverly, everything you make is wonderful. I love your piece. I don't understand one thing: Why do you have to level them when you glue two pieces together? Obviously you have to press hard on each two piece to make them adhere to each other, so there is no space that would cause one side to be higher than the other.

Hi Merry!! You don't have to use a crystal ball. You can use books are any other thing that has some weight to hold it down. If you really want to crystal look on Amazon.com they have a nice selection 😊
