I have an severe addiction Dion to michaels crushed glass and after making another of your DIY projects I discovered they you have the BEST way for me to apply the crushed glass to my projects. By slowing down and applying it a little at a time I discovered I was more satisfied with my work and it looks fabulous!!!!! I know there are others who say apply the glass by sprinkling it but I have found for ME it is best doing it your way. Thanks for encouraging us to seek to do what makes us comfortable as individuals. Either way they come out wonderful but I like the special effort you make to make viewers comfortable. I bet these would look beautiful with colored broken glass. I seen some on Amazon. they had lime green, turquoise, red, rose pink and gold as well. I think I'm going to try to make them with the lime green broken glass. Because my grandmother loves lime green!😊😊Thanks again!

I made a set of three candleholders using this technique for my mom but instead of using the candleholder as the stand, I used upside down drinking glasses which I painted with looking glass paint. Thanks for sharing your twist on this project as it shows other options to create a variety of fine accents. Happy Valentine's Day!

Absolutely classy!!! You did such a superb job without a doubt. Truthfully, I am not a bling person. Guess it's because I live in Las Vegas and have seen enough of it over 44 years. LOL! I need to catch the part of your video where you explained how you added the 2nd coat of mod podge and more glass and the finish you sprayed. See, I haven't worked with the crushed glass yet I don't want to make a mistake. There is one precaution I will take and that would be to wear latex gloves. I did some research and it did strongly recommend to use the gloves. Thank you ever so much for sharing your talent.

Hi Beverly I made these recently & they came out amazing! Thanks so much for the idea! I have 2 questions: Is there anything you can use to keep the crushed glass from falling off? Can you suggest another option to use for the tealights you added to the very bottom as I am unable to find any?
You are very welcome and I'm so happy that you made them. You can seal the glass in place with more mod lodge. Just dap it on and let it dry. As for the base of the candle holders you can use any heavy weight tea light holders. Michaels and Ikea carries some but they might be shaped differently. Good luck!! :)
