Same issue with the color change every time i turn it back on and off. There's gotta be a way to save it right? Too it has a home burgher mode, which i assume is supposed to turn the light on and off to signal for help? Mine does nothing when pressed
I worry about some of these Chinese no named brands are not UL listed, or even ETL listed. If they are manufactured with sub standard parts you would never know it could cause a fire if the motor burns up not home. When you buy from well known stores in the US they have liability to sell UL listed products Hampton Bay is UL Listed not easy to get a UL listing.
If my house burns down, I'll make a video update. 😂 However, I trust all the positive ratings, and have liked my experience so far. Before this, my worry was the old wobbly fan falling down on me in my sleep! Now I can sleep easy. 😊
How is the experience with the light?
I like the light! The remote makes adjusting it easy and the different color temperatures are a really nice feature! The last ceiling fan I installed only had one color temp, so this one is pretty cool!
@@NeedWantBuy Ahh good to know that! As I’m replacing the current light source with this, and after which this will be the only light source in my study room. So will it be a good option?
In the room I installed this, I have the ceiling light as well as a little reading lamp. The two are plenty to light the room. The warmer color temps of the ceiling fan are nice to use when reading at night. It helps me with migraines, then switch it to brighter white during the day.
If it's a smaller room this light should be plenty, but a little reading lamp would never hurt in a study room! 😄
At 2:48 (secure it with the screws you removed earlier). Which screws you are referring? I didn’t see it in the video. Are these the ones that were attached to the mount ? I’m having hard time to install the decorative cover.
same question. It is not shown in the video. @@SPC123-uo1mo
To anyone else that has one of these - every time I turn the fan light on, it alternates between one of the three hues (soft white, bright white, and daylight). Any suggestions on how to make it turn the same light hue on each time?
can you show how to do the wires, the instructions are terrible.
Hi there. I installed this for a friend at their house. I can't make an updated video, but maybe I can help.
The blue cable is the light power, black is fan power, white neutral and green ground.
You'll connect the blue and black wire of the fan to the black power supply wire, the neutral white wire to the white wire and the green ground wire to the exposed ground wire of the power supply cable. Tighten them together with wire nuts and you're good to go!
Omg thank you, yes these instructions are awful.
My fan has a white, a black, and a green wire. I have black, red, and white from the ceiling. There is no blue. Please advise...
@@NeedWantBuy hi, what if the wires in my ceiling instead of blue, it's red?
@@brandonbrimer8417when you have red wires, you'll either connect red to red, or red to blue.
This wire brings power to your light!
Thank you! Very helpful!
I have this and every time I flip the switch on the wall the color changes. I have to flip the switch on and off three times before I get to the cool white.. how do I set it to one?!?
I am having the same problem. Have you found any solutions yet?
Wait...doesn't it have a remote to simply switch?
Bro replaced a Harbor Breeze Helix with
*C H I N A*
One works. The other doesn't. 🤷
Does light operate with normal wall light button as well? Thanks
Yes, if the light switch is properly connected to the fan's junction box, it will work just fine.
I installed this (Brand: Obabala) Everything worked fine, but the light and my existing light switch. If you have the light on and the wall light switch on, and turn the wall switch off, when you turn the wall switch back on the light will not come on. You have to initiate the light from the remote. Terrible design.
Thanks
There are two balancing clip and balancing weight . Where do I put these.
If you have a wobble, use the clip(s) as a temporary weight to see where you need to install a weight.
I have the same fan and the decorative canopy to hide the wires will not screw into place? Just spins freely, plz help!
If I remember correctly, the screws you need to screw the decorative canopy are pre-screwed into the base. If you remove those, and then slide up the canopy, you will have screw holes to mount the canopy to.
If you roatate your canopy around, see if you can see screws under any of the mounting holes. If so, you will need to unscrew those and reapply the decorative canopy.
How low does it hang from the ceiling? I don’t know why i’m having difficulty finding it. My old fans are flush mount so i’m worried this might be too low?
It has a 5 and a 10 inch down rod. If using the 5" downrod, the bottom will be 16" from the ceiling.
Thank you!!! That’s right to the bottom of the light correct? And you’re still happy with it?
How do I pair the remote?
I didn't have to pair mine, I just put in the batteries and the remote worked for me.
Figure out how to pair remote? Instructions don't make sense
