    • @AvengerII

Slinky doesn't have the "mean thing" down, OR the menacing "I'll bite you and all your little children!" glare of a komodo.
Slinky is the closest thing to "Barney Dinosaur" that Kenan has -- aside from Guapo, Lola, and the Rhino Iguanas!
The closest thing to a Komodo that would be bad for Kenan's toes and fingers would be Marge but she doesn't seem inclined to BITE HER FEEDER!!!

I absolutely love Komodos! How cool was it to share space with them & feed them? March 4th, 2014 our Komodos went on exhibit. I couldn`t get anyone to go with me so I went alone & I`m so glad I did. I spent hours watching them & didn`t want to leave. I don`t get around like I used to & miss seeing them, but still love them.

Komodo's are the best! Seeing them on their island was by far one of the best experiences in my life. And yes, they're really fast when they want to, even the huge ones. Fun thing was that they would just lay down inside the toilets over there, soo you had to be carefull when taking a pee, hahaha.

I heard a story of a Komodo Dragon actually stalking someone. People on Komodo apparently live in elevated houses accessible by ladders. One local man said a dragon would be waiting at the base of his ladder every morning. They also must put cement slabs over the graves to prevent the Komodo Dragons from digging up and eating the deceased.

Kenan, I so appreciate your videos which highlight the husbandry necessary to fully support these animals. Too many channels have an “acquisition after acquisition of animals” format and agenda. That acquisition format may be likened to reading a magazine with a series of short articles…interesting, but isn’t there more? I would rather have a Kamp Kenan book with rich, full, chapters! Congrats on your time spent with the Komodos! This was a well earned and respected opportunity!

I was not disagreeing with your praises of Kenan’s endeavors nor trying to disparage your eloquent soliloquy, au contraire! As a filmmaker myself I was merely offering a bit of constructive criticism on something easily corrected in post, perhaps he appreciates a fair critique and won’t think it quite so “unnecessary.” Elevating the video quality slightly to the superior level of the content therein Kenan only stands to widen his audience and increase assets accrued via Patreon. I believe that is his intended goal n'est-ce pas?

Komodo Dragons have been proven to be able to generate their own poisonous saliva thought to be helpful in subduing prey. For a long time it was assumed that the bacteria in the saliva was what was bringing down an animal bitten by them. Studies done on the specialized bacteria from the mouth of Dragons have shown this anaerobic bacteria has evolved to begin and aid in the digestive process rather than help subduing prey.
