Mr. K, I shared this link with you. It’s a couple that have a new sanctuary. He is done for his work with crocodilians of all kinds, but they have worked with animals of all sorts for a long time. Now I think both you and them would be great resources for each other. His name is Chris and her name is Gabby you may already know them. If not, you should get to their sanctuary they started they are a lot like you. They have high energy with their love for animals that are laid-back spirit, mature people. ua-cam.com/video/SHH2MqTi0IE/v-deo.htmlsi=8StOfzU6ITYuaUTm. If you already know them, my bad, my apologies. Lots of land with Trees and logs.
I just went to subscribe to his channel. He doesn't even have 300 subs yet. His channel is about to explode. You are an amazing guy Kenan. Clearly this man deserves way more attention and he's about to get it. Never change. The world is a much better place with people like you in it.
@@KampKenan Try to get in touch with Florida’s Dept of Highway Maintenance for free tree trunks, boughs & weathered telephone polls. Most of the time they’ll give them to you for the price of hauling them away! You can also go all out like my bro who traveled into the swamps in a “swamp buggy” to collect Cypress knees for use in his water features. Just remember certain woods leach tannins and/or toxic resins (like pines) which can affect the water quality. Water-logged wood and weathered wood is best, or let it “age” in the big pond with the island.
Tanner would lose his mind! The main things to consider are upkeep & maintenance. Also, choosing plants which are non-toxic to reptiles/pets is vital. The method Blake explained keeping waterlilies with turtles to you works well. Botanic gardens use it and both my brother & I have had success keeping waterlilies & marginal plants safe with turtles.
I love your excitement for plants and how they can alter space, Kenan. Holt built that enclosure room in 48 hours?! He is so creative and has such an amazing vision. Just imagine what he can do to the Rock Monitor enclosure?!
Amazing property - just wow! Seems like an awesome guy and just so creative. Looking forward to seeing more of this 🙂 hope to see more vids at your place again soon 🙏🏼
What a great episode Kenan! The possibilities you were coming up with, from part of your wish list, and the most amazing collection of plants I’ve seen, outside of nature reserves . Be still my heart! The coming episodes will be exciting to watch. Thank you Mr Holt , most sincere admiration for your eye to details. I am from Brazil , I can imagine your wife feeling at home in her own backyard.
Before I became severely disabled I was a mad gardener. Finding a new, wonderful nursery was always a joyful experience, if expensive, lol. That nursery is a succulent and cacti gardener’s dream….i used to have a large cacti and succulent collection. I would have been a constant visitor! That garden is a masterpiece and a treasure. It’s exquisite.
i think he also should meet Emily from Snake Discovery, and have her host the next 'building a terrarium' (just on a bigger scale) challenge at his place.
Love the Camp! Been watching for at least 4 or 5 years now, every upload! Love that your putting new people on and collaborating so much. Always growing the hobby. Love from AZ!
He needs to add orchids to the property. Krull Smith orchids is in Apopka. Im sure Frank Smith would help him pick orchids that would grow in that garden.
With all his acreage I’m fairly certain Stanley has orchids and other epiphytes naturalized on his property. They can be fairly low key when not in bloom but make amazing, long-lasting displays during their blooming season!
The great thing about epiphytic orchids is once established on trees they are fairly maintenance free. I know people who have Vandas blooming almost year-round in So Fl with little to no maintenance whatsoever.
Awesome tour. Guy sure knows his plants. But i don't know about his experience with animals. He said bought out oet stores aquariums and animals. All we saw was arowana. But who knows. If he doesn't get into animals. Animal people definitely want his plants. I can't believe got so Reptile enclosures from The Late Brian Barczyk. Will see what this guy's place will become in the future.
There are so many amazing tropical day and night blooming species available year-round in Fl. My brother has the Victoria lilies in his big pond. They’ve got the huge leaves that can support a small child. The “thorns” on all parts of the submerged plant keep his turtles & fish away, too bad they can be so $$$$.
Wow, just wow. All you have to do is just take a look at any one area ye has created and you know this man has a true gift. I don’t care about plants at all and even I had my jaw on the floor with every new reveal. More reptile keepers need to get environments built by this man!
What an amazing place, I can't wait to see what it will look like in a few years. Also talking about Palm trees, did you know that we even have them in the UK, we have an area on the south-west coast called Torbay which has lots of The Canary Island Date Palm (Phoenix canariensis) and other palm species, such as the Windmill Palm (Trachycarpus fortune).
Believe it or not, we have palm trees here on the West coast of Scotland and they survive very well...we get extremely cold here, not to mention windy so I quite believe that those palms are hardier than many may realise
I also think it would be a good idea to take a trip to Michigan and have a tour of Reptarium and what's going on at the Legasea. I'm surprised Kenan didn't make video for Brian
Don’t know where you’re located but I remember biking to a marsh near Lake Ronkonkoma on Eastern Long Island as a kid which was full of Sundews. Pitcher plants also grew there but carnivorous plant species in the Northeast are much more diminutive than tropical species.
A new place to visit when in Orlando. This place is maybe 15-20 minutes from Disney World. I probably fly over it when landing at Orlando International Airport. Beautiful plants.
I really start to miss the content from the camp 😢 I mean I enjoy those videos as well but why don‘t you sprinkle them between the one from the camp? All the best, still one of the best channels here on UA-cam 👍🏻
you definitely need to dive into plants from the Philodendron and Anthurium genus. Could have @SydneyPlantGuy come out and walk through Holts nursery and set you up for success.
im only a quarter of a way through this video but i had to stop to write this . this man is a legend . im not big into plants but now i want to be , best of luck sir on taking over the world
That guy is smart just listening to him talk you can tell he has a lot of knowledge and looking at his property not only does he have tons of knowledge he gots tons of $$$$ haha amazing place and amazing video
Love the P.P.P. (Philodendron pink princess) I like philodendrons, i like philodendron bipinnatitidum, selloum and xanadu they are are my favorite. I love the split leave varieties.
Kennan you should barter some turtles and tortoises with him for the plants you want to get for the camp.. It might save you some money doing so. Just something to think about. It's been a long time since I actually commented on your channel. Hope all is well with you the family and your animals. Still looking for a place in the Jupiter area to get for myself with some land on it.
Palm trees can survive all the way up to Northern California, way up where I live lol There are palm trees up here and the live fine. I'm 3 hours drive south of the Oregon border.
Breathtaking! Both what Tom has already accomplished and what he will be able to do... so amazing. I'm so glad you're going to have him for a mentor to help you achieve your own goals, Kenan, and help Tom bring more reptiles into his own.
There (is/was?) a “Bird/Butterfly Park” in Coconut Creek Florida that my nephew took me to years ago. The facility had a group of very similarly scaped enclosures. I wonder if Ed had a hand in it’s construction, it was pretty amazing.

Indeed!
@@GregWittstockThePondGuy, when I saw those tropical lilies, I thought of you immediately!. Did you notice that none of them need to be repotted?😂
This place is SPECTACULAR! I love how excited he was to show you 😊 and it's awesome knowing how the planting turned out while I watch the planning 🤗💜🦖
❤️ 🤠
The things that Tanner could do with such a store of plants and hardscape are incomprehensible!
Yes!

This man is living the dream. Thanks for the tour Kenan . God bless , and peace be with you
Thank you Jaybird!
What a dream nursery.
Love this guy, knows his stuff! Love everything, but could never live in the heat and humidity that it takes for them to thrive😢
Amazing property - just wow! Seems like an awesome guy and just so creative. Looking forward to seeing more of this 🙂 hope to see more vids at your place again soon 🙏🏼

In my country New Zealand we have native tree ferns called ponga which grow up to 6 - 10m high.
I'll be reaching out once day when I start building the first section of my zoo 😁
Here first! My favorite time is Kenan time!

Hi kenan how are you doing
What a beautiful place 😍 ❤️ wow!!!

This guy's place is amazing
yes it is!
I would love to see a flock of budgies living in one of his greenhouses! Maybe one that grows the cactus's and other drier plants. 😅

Tom and “A Life Exotic” could bounce so many ideas!❤
I’m really excited to see the reptiles invade this little corner of the world!
Amazing ❤
Thanks 😄
Wish I could go to that nursery what a place
If Holt Nurseries is open to the public the next time I visit family in So. Fla I’m THERE! lol

He spoke about it on a live stream. Unlike many other UA-camrs, Kenan didn’t use someone’s death as clickbait for views.
