@@maygreen517 that is absolutely incredible. Props to you for donating your things and utilizing that amazing group!! ♥️ Thanks for sharing your experience!
I love our buy nothing group. I give away things on a weekly basis. Have met wonderful people I never would have met otherwise, and they all live in my community
Thanks so much Abbie! I have never heard of the Buy Nothing Project, that is a great idea! This week I have been so motivated to declutter because of your videos. Thanks always!..📦
Hey Abbie! 😊 Have you found out how to recycle clothing? Not donate...i have some clothes that are stained/ripped and can't be worn anymore but I too care about the planet and would rather recycle them than throw them in the trash. I haven't been able to find anything though! So the clothes are hanging out in my trunk lol
I am one that "hates on Goodwill" No matter how much I had here (and it was a TON) I refused to drop off my stuff for them to make money on. I take my stuff to consignment stores, AMVETS (that supports our Vets) or I give them to folks in my community on Buy Nothing. Buy nothing is the BEST thing to happen on FB in a very long time. There is also a textile bin in our village where I can drop torn or stained clothing to be recycled. I also love Salvation army as the money raised helps children in low income communities.
I agree with all of this! I just don’t want anyone to feel ashamed of donating to Goodwill if they don’t feel like they have other options. Getting the clutter out is the goal, but hopefully this video can provide more information on where else to donate! ♥️
Just found your channel and your voice is so soothing. Love your decluttering videos. I donate all my used clothes to the local homeless shelter, unopened toiletries to the local women’s shelter (they don’t take used clothes), home stuff to goodwill 🤷🏻♀️ or I list for free sometimes on the local site similar to Craigslist, but people flake out 90% of the time so I don’t do it often. Other things I sell if I feel like I can get $10 or more for it.
I want to know! Have you tried your local BuyNothing group? What was your experience?
I have gave away over 300 items last year in my local buy nothing group!

@@chicpeachaf totally agree. GETTING IT OUT is the main goal. I am blessed with other alternatives that are actually closer to me than goodwill
@@cack121 yes! ♥️

Thank you so much, and welcome!! ♥️
Also consider giving to the VVA. They come to your home pick up your things and the items go directly to veterans in need.
That’s a really great suggestion! Thank you! ♥️
Thank you so much sis
I just want to ask you
What if I need to get something and I'm in another country
Thank you for watching!
Are you asking about Buy Nothing groups outside of the United States?
📦 I’m apart of 3 Buy Nothings in my community 😅
That’s amazing!! ♥️♥️
My daughter has used the Buy Nothing in Raleigh NC and has had awesome results requesting and giving.
That’s awesome! I think these groups are such a great idea!
