specific DRV output transverter settings for Kenwood TS-590sg

  • Description and output level measurement on TS-590sg DRV output connector. You can also see the frequency change on the Agilent frq. counter, based on DRV output level. Agilent has power measure functionality only on channel 2, which is limited to 50MHz up to 40GHz. Test case is under low frequency limit. It seems with power levels above ~5dBm, Agilent meter shows frequency of third harmonic. When I tried the same with 20dB attenuator, frequency showed correctly in full power range. It means 0-10dBm(1-10mW). But it can be interesting check it also with spectrum analyzer for the 3rd harmonic supression in full range of DRV output levels.

    Tnx for the good information Milan. I went crazy changing the DRV output with transverter=1 function. The manual is not so clear on the transverter=2 function.
    My transverter needs more than 0dBm. Thank you very much.
