Right click on the start menu and there is device manager the same as previous versions of windows. You will also need to find that audio control panel he showed in the "old" 'control panel', not the new "Settings" app. To get to this, click in the search bar next to the start button and search for "control panel". Once that is open you should see the sound control panel listed.
@@darinbell6982 I've found that VFO B isn't important for FT-8 use. I was very new to the hobby, and digital specifically. If you need help setting up for FT-8, my email on QRZ is current. Shoot me a message. ✌

I need a friend opinion, I like to do SSB phone contest, I am in doubt to buy a KENWOOD TS 590 SG or ICOM IC 7300 ... can you help me which is the best choice ??
Very interesting video. My TS-59SG is set according your tips en info (menu) and I have 'split' set as 'rig'. When I choose a mode the radio shows both vfo's and split is on but when I click on different parts of the waterfall the vfo B remains on the same frequency. Any suggestions what to check ?
Does changing those settings on the TS590 have any impact on SSB use? Can they be set once for digital modes and left, or do you have to undo them for SSB and redo when you want to work digital again?
John Ratcliffe better late than never. You can set up SSB on Menu A and digital on Menu B (or vise versa.) Set the display to Amber for one Menu set and Green for the other. Then you'll know at a glance what mode is in use. 73
Great video. I have my TS590SG running WSJT-X. Now I need to learn how to operate FT8. Did a lot of monitoring to get the feel of it.

Again great video. I'm up and running on FT8 made 5 contacts in less than 30 minutes, even a new band for me today, 30m.
Great mode, I use a different radio but I turn off the AGC and about 10w on USB data. Dimension clock works great

Menus should be 71 and 72 and not as shown in the video On the 590sg menu 70 is the SOURCE of RF., Front or Rear.

Great video! There is an erratum in the list of menu numbers/settings. Audio level of USB input should be 70, not 71. Best -Ken
Reverse it. Should be 71, not 70. 70 is audio source of PTT.
I have set everything up according to the video but the Band Activity and Rx Frequency screens remain blank. What am I doing wrong?

I can receive perfectly, but no Tx get the Hamlib io error when connecting to the rig, any idea for a solution?. thanks VE7URL.
