The comparison was based on the class equivalents of the 3 companies, sort of like the S Class to the 7 series. To say that it is an unfair comparison is just childish, because it's not their fault Mercedes has better specs up their arsenal

I own a 2016 BMW 550i (V8 445 H.P.) rear wheel drive and the car is sublime...it is loaded with nearly every option including M Sport and it is the favorite car I've ever owned...I absolutely love her, in Alpine white and with the BMW Sports carbon fiber front splitter and CF spoiler on the rear she looks amazing.

Comparing a 2.9 v6 with a 4.0 v8 and almost 200hp more. Great. But considering it "lost" with less then a second, that undersized engine is pretty powerful.

Here is older Bmw M tech , f10 is 6y old( 2011-2017 , even this 30 jare aniversary is 2014 is same tech but with 40+ Hp then the basic 560hp but same 2011 tech) ,and this rs and e class are the latest tech in 2016-2017 .
Even tho the Audi lost to the Mercedes, it won in my book. 603 horses vs 450 horse but yet the 450 horses almost caught up. Now imagine it being the RS6... Mercedes would have been left in memories

The 991 Turbo S does it in 3.1, the Carrera 4S in 4.3. But bear in mind that the Turbo S is about 300kg lighter than the E63S.

Weight is almost the same, then is about ranking as the power figures. Simple as that. Put same power in rs5 as in amg and that car will be little bit slower that 63amg just because a bigger transmission loss, but that will compensate in the snow or mud terrain where the multiclutch electronic simulated center diff from mercedes.. will be not the best, as it is the xdrive too :)

according to the technical files should tie bmw and mercedes and audi be the last. Mercedes 0-100: 3,4 seconds Bmw 0-100: 3,4 seconds and Audi 0-100: 3,9 seconds.

The thing is that the "30 Jahre M5" edition has the same horsepower as the new one. Interesting is that the mercedes is still faster than the bmw in a rolling race, where a four wheel drive system has an obvious disadvantage, because of extra weight and drivetrain losses.
