The f90 is much lighter (250+ lbs) have more power (close to 640 to the wheels stock) uses larger turbo's that pushes out close to 25. psi from a 4.4 lit v8 compared to AMG 17 psi. 4.0 v8. The f90 is a much newer platform and Mercedes haven't touched the w213 e63s since 2017 spec wise. So idk why it's a surprise to people that the lighter more powerful car wins in a drag race. Just the fact that the w213 e63s can still compete with the f90 is good.

Yeah & rumors are the upcoming 2025 all new M5 will have the 740hp version straight from the XM Red Label, and the competition version will have this engine but dialed up way over 800+ hp to beat the 843 hp in the AMG GT 63S E Performance..whether someone likes BMW or not, think we can safely say that based on these races, an 850+hp twin turbo v-8 hybrid assist next generation M5 w/all the latest transmission & aero and tire technology will make even this tuned M5 competition seem slow...cars are getting ridiculously fast...and even though I don't like EV's that much, we've gotta admit that the new Lucid Sapphire w/its 1200+hp triple electric motors is insanely fast also..I'd rather have a hybrid anyway though so we can still hear the ICE engine..Porsche is working hard on synthetic gas so as to make it possible to keep producing ICE engines for decades longer w/very very little pollution compared to normal gas...plus its even higher octane so more performance...but will be pricey...
I'm a new (2 months) owner of a '20 M5c and it's an animal. I couldn't even imagine tuning it. I've been getting revenge on all those scat packs and even one hellcat that bullied me in my fusion. Not sure if it’s similar to the M340i, but if you hold the upshift, immediately followed by the downshift, and then let go of both, it will put you into Sport Auto mode, so you don’t need to shove the shift lever back to the right. It will automatically place your in Sport Auto.

A lot of the tuned cars you bring are just estimated numbers and this way you could arrange some interesting races with cars based on weight and power. The dyno day could also provide content for you and a formal introduction to some of the guys who regularly bring their cars . Just my thoughts , have a great day

keep in mind the amg is running a full fledged custom tune tailored for that specific car. the m5 is running just a piggyback tune. its an off the shelf tune. if the m5 had a custom tune it would of been an even bigger difference.
Love the interior of the BMW, not so much of the Mercedes. The BMW seems to have the better gear ratios and just better tyranny overall. And BMWs launches are ridiculous.
300 lb difference, roughly requires 30-35 hp to offset, 700 lbs requires about 75 hp to offset. The benz also looked like it was spinnibg a bit off libe and was not in launch cobtrol mode with the owner struggling to check something multipkte times I think he was equally wondering whats going on.
I counted 14 car lengths between front bumper of benz and rear of M5. Fyi folks, as IE, 1 car length is benz front bumper barely even with rear bumper of M5. (I dont know why people think the air gap of 16 ft is one car, thats actually two cars gap. Honestly I do not think the Benz was even making its stock 604 hp in the standing starts at the end of video. Heat soak badly, likely 550 hp by the time the dig-drags came up.
It is indeed amazing that with an old-fashioned torque converter transmission, F90 M5 can launch off the line even faster than those equipped with dual clutch and multiple clutch transmissions. It is also strange that both cars though being tuned, are slower than their stock counterparts!! (10.8 s M5, 11.4 s E63 S)!!!! It seems that stock ones can launch better!!!

That's what happens when your making a bucket load more hp and torque in any vehicle, traction becomes the new issue. That old age saying unless it's a burnout car there no point making the power if you can't put it all down.
I thought I was the only one that noticed the 2 year’s difference, I’ve seen videos with 2021 e63 s tuned by Gad vs 2021 M5 comp tuned and the M5 got gapped.
And to think that the next C63S weighs almost 200lb more than this E63S with 90hp less! The M5 Comp definitely has the more responsive transmission. The E63S sounds like it falls slightly out of its powerband with each shift and/or is not making the power it says. We'll soon see what AMG cooks up for the next E63. HP will be starting with 7 (I'm estimating 720-750).
Unfortunately this was down to the tires 🙁. M5 had good tires for the drag so it put all its power down. This E63S had a slower time than the stock version.
carwow managed 11.1 secs in 1/4 mile out of a stock 2019 E63s so thinking that a stage 2 E63s is doing a 11.4 is kinda sceptical so I am assuming either the tires are not hooking up on the launch or there is something is wrong with the car
Both cars are between 2.8 sec to 3.1 sec 0-60, and at 60 mph thats about one bumper 2ft ahead of the other vehicles same bumper. This M5 was like 2 full cars ahead by 65 mph here. Def something not right.

Honestly I do not think the Benz was even making its stock 604 hp in the standing starts at the end of video. Heat soak badly, likely 550 hp by the time the dig-drags came up.
Mostly the extra weight making the difference here. I would guess the hp and tq is right around the same in each car. BMW has superior launch control.

It is indeed amazing that with an old-fashioned torque converter transmission, F90 M5 can launch off the line even faster than those equipped with dual clutch and multiple clutch transmissions.
It is also strange that both cars though being tuned, are slower than their stock counterparts!! (10.8 s M5, 11.4 s E63 S)!!!!
It seems that stock ones can launch better!!!
It’s my M5, I think the surface is really bumpy that’s why it didn’t get the times. Usually gets bottom 10’s easily on street
@@sheharyarirfan Congratulations to you for having such a beast! The good thing about F90 M5 is its great ZF transmission. Being a torque-converter design, it is comfortable to drive around town and can change gears as fast or even faster than dual clutch transmissions!

That's what happens when your making a bucket load more hp and torque in any vehicle, traction becomes the new issue.

I thought I was the only one that noticed the 2 year’s difference, I’ve seen videos with 2021 e63 s tuned by Gad vs 2021 M5 comp tuned and the M5 got gapped.

The M5 Comp definitely has the more responsive transmission. The E63S sounds like it falls slightly out of its powerband with each shift and/or is not making the power it says. We'll soon see what AMG cooks up for the next E63. HP will be starting with 7 (I'm estimating 720-750).

Unfortunately this was down to the tires 🙁. M5 had good tires for the drag so it put all its power down. This E63S had a slower time than the stock version.
M5 is a different breed. Any amg is under.
Something wrong with that E63. It is doing 11.4 on the 1/4 which is slower than stock.

carwow managed 11.1 secs in 1/4 mile out of a stock 2019 E63s so thinking that a stage 2 E63s is doing a 11.4 is kinda sceptical so I am assuming either the tires are not hooking up on the launch or there is something is wrong with the car

E63 has to be in stock configuration in the launches. I have seen stg 2 tuned M5's beat stock E63s like this but not tune for tune.
Both cars are between 2.8 sec to 3.1 sec 0-60, and at 60 mph thats about one bumper 2ft ahead of the other vehicles same bumper. This M5 was like 2 full cars ahead by 65 mph here. Def something not right.
