I also feel like in the U.S. they are going to start bring more high-end BFS gear instead of spinning. In my opinion people feel like it is easier to spend their money on high-end BFS gear over high-end spinning reels. Just because every time I see someone with a BFS setup it’s literally always in the few hundred dollar range and when I see someone with an ultralight spinning setup it’s almost always a cheap Walmart setup. I know there are many people with those high-end to medium-end ultralight spinning setups but I have yet to meet more than 5 while I am out fishing, as for high-end to medium-end bfs setups I have met way over 5 in the short time it has gained popularity and since shimano and daiwa have brought a few reels and rods. Don’t know if I explained my thoughts well, but this is what I think.

They don’t have a 1000 Vanford, wich is disappointed , I don’t understand this. I would exactly bought this size, but…. I had a shock, because Vanford is exactly this: lightweight, small size…..ultralight…wtf. Although I have two Vanquishes, I would prefer a 1000 Vanford.Maybe they don’t sell this size and just like the IPhone Mini their killed it. Shame, this madness must stop.Vanford was for me a perfect mid priced reel, and this is unacceptable, because there are good rods with not so great guides in middle price segment, and they all have smaller guides somehow, and a 1000 Vanford will fit with its weight, but now……better byy a Vanquish. At this one , Shimano is way more perverse than Daiwa

    • @ifishcatfish

I would have loved to see the 2000. 2000 and 1000 is the same reel after all. They just dont even think about small stuff. However i disagree on ur last point. Daiwa is more disbolical than shimano.
