Everyone talking about hank parker interaction, but the creme son was much more personal and he seemed very appreciative meeting you and seeing the old packs and bringing back memories for him….
Honestly, I could have spent hours talking with Chris Kent (and will when I get to Tyler, TX). His dad Wayne Kent ran Creme for years and it was cool to see his reaction to the Creme and Knight Lures I showed him!
Next year bring some old school Rebel, Heddon, Arbogast, Creek Chub, Cotton Cordell etc. and come by the booth to see us! We would love to see the old school lures you have of our brands. 🎣
I don’t even want to tell you what PRADCO baits I had in my box…Mud Bug, Hawaiian Wiggler, Near Nuthin, Pro Autograph, Big Bud, River Runt…just needed more time. I would love to come to Arkansas with a box full…how do I get in touch???
Where has this Chanel been all my life 😂 I’m sure you remember the flying lures . I remember waiting out in my dad’s boat in the drive way for the U.P.S truck for those puppies
Terrific video! This is the first time I’ve seen one of your videos and was super impressed! I have a collection of my dad‘s old lures that I cherish and put a smile on my face. You do the same thing with all these great idols from the past. You made a lot of old fisherman very happy!
@@RetroBassin the reels, Penn of course! I will have to send you pictures of the two brand new pens in the boxes never been used never been touched, quite incredible! But I gotta work to pay the bills, thank you for your response! Jim
One of the only things I miss about being young is all the old tackle shops that used to be around my area. What’s funny about it is, that there isn’t a decent lake for at least 30 miles from me. They were just supported by people making the trek to a decent lake or local pond fishing. Every once in a while I’ll get a bait that smells like that old school scent.
It was great seeing all of the old guard, I haven't thought about Hank Parker. My wife would watch him with me when she wouldn't watch any of the other shows.
That's what's up! Vintage lures will always be in! Love that people can see an old lure and relate to their time on the water at some point in their lives! Nice episode Chris!
@RetroBassin I am gonna have to make it happen next time. I've been meeting a few people lately that are good for our channel content. We'll see how things go this year!!
Great job and couldn't believe you got to meet all those people ! Never would have guessed Mr H&H was still around, just like he mentioned I used it first for pond fishing and this was 50+ years ago. The Creme stuff was very interesting too. Now I gotta get some Sliders after seeing the presentation.
What a fun video! What a fun time you must have had! So cool seeing all those folks react to the old school items you brought. Awesome seeing Caroline Calton from Slider Fishing...good people! And Roland Martin! SON! Great to hear Roland give props to the black Johnson Spoon. I thought a black Johnson Spoon was my secret! Haha! Awesome to hear him talking about the Helicopter Lure. That dude has more energy than the Energizer Bunny! Next year I'm going with you!
Taking it old school to the new school...what a concept! You hit a homerun and really did a great job on this one. You need a Flux Capacitor on your Bass Tracker and a lithium battery that puts out 1.21 "jig-a-watts".
So many bass caught on H&H and Bill Lewis Rat-l- traps I can't even count!! H&H coastal lures for Specs and Reds were always in the box,in fact the very tackle box you walked around with, lol.
Great video man!!! I actually bought some new old stock bill dancin eels a few years back. Shortly after that they came back out and i bought some of the new version. But the plastic was pretty stiff. Good old lure though! I remeber bill dance crushing them on it in his show years ago. Would love to see some old lures come back. Like Manns harnose frogs and worms. Riverside became Yum baits i remember that too. Floating air fry was great for pickerel weightless. The pro series rib worm was one of my all time favs. Black red fleck with a chartreuse tail. A crusher!!! Memories! Thank you sir! Fish on!!
Funny part was, I almost didn’t go. Couldn’t figure how to make an ICAST video that fit on the channel. The day before it hit me, and I frantically packed a tacklebox with old schools lures. Probably could have stopped at another dozen booths like Rapala, PRADCO, Bill Lewis, Strike King, etc.
A bunch of the old TV guys always seemed like strong personalities (read that jack***es) good to see Hank Parker on here always seemed like an absolutely great guy.
Funny, but as excited as I was to run into Hank, Roland, and Bill, the highlight of the day was 100% seeing Chris Kent’s reaction to his father’s lures.
Great job with this! I need to contact Sliders and see if I can get one of those logo fish cut outs to hang in my classroom lol! That would be epic in there with my other items!
Thats so crazy Ive har the same tackle box since i was a kid. I always had board game things in it. I might have to clean it out and put some lures in it haha!
If the new bass fishermen had the old crude gear we had in the 50s and 60s, along with the 2 oz. Wooden lures, it would be interesting to watch them fish with it.😆
I still have about 25 or 30 Mann’s grape jelly worms from my teens (early 80’s) and every once in a while I bring a couple out with my senkos. Still catch some fair sized bass with them. I also have some classic plugs that I pull out during the dog days like the Heddon Riverrunt Red/White and leopard frog coloured Flatfish.
Hi. I'm new to the channel and just cruising around. I'm hoping to see anything Billy Westmoreland related. The Silver Buddy caught me a lot of fish. I go way back to the late 80s with Bass Pro.
Back in the day we would tie our cream worms ! Run the line through with the needle! And would have 2 hooks in it ! Wrap them in foil < They caught me alot of fish < actually my PB 7lbs back in like 1990 < loved cream worms ** 😮
You're a good salesman, you know that? I just bought some Creme soft lures while watching this. Some flip flops and speed scremers. Even though they're ol soft plastics, they've innovative enough
I had a ball this year at icast 2024 my brother invited me to go with him and it was the best time ever I got to meet everyone I wanted to meet except the the man himself BILL DANCE THE OG LEGEND maybe one day I will get to meet him.......

Greatest episode yet. Sincere excitement from the old school Bosses telling their tales from days gone by. Well done.
Could totally have done a second day at ICAST...

That interaction with Hank Parker was probably my favorite. I have a few packs of Hank Worms, I wonder what his reaction would’ve been if he saw some!
He just happened to be in the Bait Pop booth! I have a few packs of Hank Worms, too, but left them at home.
