Great video! I'm purchasing 4 x 8000 size reels for Saltwater fishing and my two options have been these. The Saragosa is $319AUD and the Spheros $199AUD. In your opinion is there value in spending the extra $119AUD per reel or does the lower price of the shperos outweigh the better features of the Saragosa?
The sealing system of the two reels are exactly the same they only differ for bushing on the side plate and in the handle knob. They are all very good for sat water. Check the prices of ball bearing on the side plate and handle knob if it will cost 119 aud in your place. For me I always want bearing it will stay longer. You can purchase spheros then alter using it for sometime you can replace the bushing for bearing.

Yes that's my go to reel in shore fishing. I have 4 saragosa with different sizes and all are 4 years old until now it's working perfectly. Best reel for the price.
Hello sir.. Ive seen my friend's spheros, it doesnt have the carbontex. Ive tried servicing a saragosa, its handle only have bushings instead of bearings. I dont know if they were fake but thats what ive seen. Greet video for comparing the 2 😁😁🎣🎣🎣
Something doesn't make sense ..how can one reel have a graphite rotor and side plate but be heavier than the all aluminum reel. The specs say the saragossa has 1 more bearing yet the spheros doesn't have a bearing in the handle or knob..that's 2 bearings less. Also how could the saragossa have a hagne body is its side plate is graphite. Please fact check before you review. I believe both reels weigh the same.
Raymond Solinas it make sense because I open may spheros he is right they use bushing in handle knob and sideplate however they put 1 small bearing inside. And he already corrected that weight look at the pin msg.
H guys small correction for the weight of spheros it is 454 g same as saragosa.
