    Thank you for making this video. I recently flipped my kayak. The reel was submerged for a few minutes. I opened it up and zero water had entered the body👍🏽. Your video helped me take apart and put the reel back together. I wish I had bought two of them instead of just one when our local shop had them on sale. Take care and Mahalo from Hawaii🤙🏽🙏🏼

    My favorite all around shimano reel by far. Super smooth, looks great, smooth as any topend shimano reel and the price is unbelievable

      Bro this reel is built well. Its identical to the saragosa. The only issue I found was the body and side plate bearing not being sealed or shielded. Apart from that its a tank of a reel for the price.

    Nice review, I have a 6k and 10k Spheros and they are my favorites. I prefer the Spheros over my Spinfishers because of infinity drive, so smooth. I would choose the Spinfisher if max drag is needed though, they are tanks.

      I find shimano to be a well balance reel in terms of smoothness, light weight, durable, have decent amount of drag and is seal better than Penn.

    Very good review and tear down sir. Much appreciated. The only reel at the price point that I think compares as far as value for saltwater abuse and water sealing is the Penn Spinfisher VI. How do you think they compare? Would love to hear your opinion

    • @tackleaddictgy
      @tackleaddictgy  2 роки тому +3

      Thank you for the support. In terms of comparison I'd put this just under the saragosa which I think the slammer falls. So basically I'd say this is better than the spinfisher in terms of how it is sealed. This reel is actually sealed better than the spinfisher vi and slammer 3. But That doesn't take away the facts that penn are "tanks" in the reel world. I was very surprised at the penn pursuit 4 and how penn built it for being a entry sw reel. If you haven't check that video please do when you have some free time. If you're thinking about getting the spheros jump on it.

      I just saw that video. It's awesome. But the 4000 size and down of this model isn't quite the same. For the spheros sw 2021 you'll have to get from the 5000 upward. Still a great reel and yours got the job done perfectly.

      Thank you for your support my friend. And in deciding which reel is best to choose all depends on your fishing techniques and they type of fish you're chasing. Both spinning and baitcasting/conventional play their own major roll in fishing.

      @@somnathroy8142 all the reel you mention are great reels. The 2021 spheros isn't far different from the 2020 saragosa. The Penn reels are tanks. If you go through my videos you'll see I compare the spheros and saragosa and I did a tear down of the penn pursuit 4. It all comes down to your budget and how much you're willing to spend but also remember the rod is more important than the reel. So my advise is get a really good rod then decide which reel you want to pair it with. Also if it isn't any trouble can you subscribe to my channel and share it with your friends also. • @tackleaddictgy
      @tackleaddictgy  Рік тому +1

      My 6000 spheros holds 300 yards of 30lb power pro. If you spool with 80lb I'm guessing it would hold around 100+ yards. All depends on how you spool it also. But if you wanna use heavy line get a bigger reel so it will hold more of tge heavier line.

      The power pro 30lb is 0.28mm. The one you using is 0.38mm so you surly would fit less on the reel. Putting the 80lb on the 6000 reel would work but you'll have less line capacity and it will surly dent you casting distance.

      Let the amount of max drag a reel puts out be the last thing you look onto before making a decision. Most company inflate the actual drag pressure a reel puts out also. The spheros is sealed well and will hold up better in a saltwater environment.

      Yes! The spheros is more than capable of handling sharks. I recommend getting the 8 or 10k for sharks. Bigger reel = more line capacity and more line is always a good thing for fish that take long runs.
