It’s impossible for me not to cry at this scene. My Dad was profoundly deaf and was the most awesome Dad anyone could have asked for, once when I was growing up he said he was “Sorry” that he was different to the other dads. I told him he was a prat (it’s how we show affection) and that he was the best and I love him loads and I still do!!!!
LOVE is all, very simple.
@Bonesintheocean.mp3 Try to have an original thought next time rather than commenting what a review you watched stated. Some people really think whatever it popular to "think". Sad. I know your desperately trying to be edgy and original but you are the complete opposite, a sheeple in the masses.
No to you he was lol
Awwww 😍😍. Love reigns all the time. I have a perfect dad who hates me 🥺🥺. I'm so unfortunate. He has never been supportive till now
all that I can say is you are blessed....
“Nobody else’s Daddy ever comes to the park.” That’s a touching line but it wasn’t that that made me cry, it was her little smile and the twinkle in her eye that went along with it. Such a real performance from both of them it’s amazing.
Waaaaahhhhhh
Lies again? Singapore American Map Deaf Blind
Dakota Fanning was a phenomenal child actress. I don’t know if she’s just not into acting as much anymore, but I’d love to see her being given the same level of roles in her adulthood.
Some of her smaller roles are really good like for example in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
She said in an interview that she is being told by producers and directors that she now to ugly for roles and she's not tall and skinny enough.
I cannot watch this movie without a box of tissues next to me
your sick
No he's gonna cry
Thats a funny i cant too cause this movie makes me cry so hard laughing

how could somebody dat young memorise the scripts and act so well?
they dont shoot that much in one day!!!!
from one whole day of shooting
theres probalby a maaaaaax. of 10 mins in the movie
Welcome to young Dakota Fanning. Everyone who worked with her as a kid raved about how amazing she was and how professional. I think in some cases she didn’t only know her lines but her costars lines to
For starters she didn’t spell it like “dat”
Sean Penn isn’t that young, but you’re right it is very impressive.
its dakota fanning no question
I cried like baby this movie is amazing
Rios Jacquelyn yeah
Same here.. one of the best movie show bout mental disability .. been in field for almost 10 years.
same, first time too and it was hard
maybe cuz you dont have a dad
Same
I’ve got an intellectual disability and I also have autism so I can relate to this movie. Hands down the best movie
Hell yeah homeslice
I have autism as well. But this is a great movie.
Usa autism or real autism ? Because I’m USA everyone likes to say they have autism and they have the IQ of shakespear !!! Spoiling
I have autism as well , tho Im luckily have an average IQ. But it does hunt me in different ways, speech impediment, social interaction, anxiety and depression. I'm definitely socially stupid for sure, I can't handle a job that deals with customers often . And my brain likes to shut down during stressful situations or when I'm overwhelmed but I try my best when it comes to providing and raising my children. I love them very much, and I would never let my troubles stop them from experiencing things they should... Even as a single mother (their father cheated on me, we seperated and he ended up getting the other woman pregnant..{they did end up breaking up lol go figure work affairs don't last outside of work} he also kept the house and car which I didn't want. Not when it was connected with him..) I suspect my oldest has autism as well, it seems to effect her more then it did for me. My second child seems to be blessed tho, very advanced and socially lovable.
Me too
Aw i just noticed they used Dakotas Little sister as her on the first scene of the swing set . No wonder they look so much alike awww lol
This movie made me tears up many times. Nobody could understand how strong bonds and links could exist between a father and his daughter. Brilliant and touching movie ever.
When he started apologizing I immediately burst into tears 😢 he couldn’t fully understand what she meant until she said that and he realized 😭😭
"Daddy, the God made for you to be like this, was it an accident?"
"Okay, what do you mean?"
"I mean you're different,"
"Yeah but why do you mean?"
"YOU'RE NOT LIKE THE OTHER DADDIES"
Omg it hurts me a lot 😭💔
I cried so hard😭😭😭😭 at that part
@@hopegarrett7710it’s ok daddy don’t be sorry am lucky nobody else’s daddy comes to the park 🥺
Dude I love this movie it's honestly one of my favorites not only does it shine light on a topic most people ridicule but it has a lot of symbolism. The part where he tells them there is room on his side of the table in court that represents nobody is on his side. And sure his friends are there but on the side and that represents they're on his side but can't do much to help
Dakota Fanning’s emotional intelligence, at such a young age, was fascinatingly high.
“i’m sorry.. i’m sorry” 🥺he deserves the world 1:48
The first movie in my life that really got to me.
Its really sad when you actually realize that there are people who live with this difficulty and have problems like that.
I could not hold my tears....
I living this movie now praying thangs change
"you're not like other daddies."
"im sorry.. Im sorry.." I STARTED BAWLING MY EYES OUT
Dakota fanning is an Enigma . When making man on fire Denzel Washington said although she was only 9 yrs old at that time , she had the mind (wisdom) of a 40 year old. an amazing compliment to a remarkable young actor wise beyond her years.
"You don't have to be perfect to be a father, why not if you can make your children happy"🙂
he went home empty handed.
Yeah this movie was full blown Oscar bait. Good thing the Academy saw right through it!
Hahahahahaha
@@TheAmericanNomad352 except Tom Hanks Forest Gump was amzing.
As he should have. This movie is terrible.
Why am I crying again? Is just a clip not even the whole movie damn it! Every single time I watch this story I cry so badly... Sigh.. Gemini moons..
I was 10 years old when I watched this scene on a tv program. Almost cry.
I watched this movie so many times, and I still CRY every time!!!!
How mature her acting is!!❤
this movie made me tear up
I highly recommend everyone watch it
What's this movie about? I'm just curious, peace✌🏻️
the movie is about this man Sam... functional but mentally disable man that raises a girl on his own... but when she is getting a little big he has to fight the state not to take his daughter from him... the movie got mixed reviews
Bravonanda Moirangthem me to
I am in tears from start to end
Dakota and Elle Fanning are so cute.
He's doing such a good job of being her father.
Dakota Fanning is a little doll.
Can't believe the critics panned this movie. Such a good picture.
They don't get films with heart and good messages, they act like they're too sentimental and preachy. Even surviving Beatles and Ono loved the movie.
A child's love has no condition.
Its been years since I’ve watched this movie and yup, still makes me cry...
I love this movie! Sean Penn does a phenomenal job in this character and Dakota Fanning’s acting is amazingly good!
In my opinion she's the best child actress ever!
Dude said the beatles thats the best answer 🤣💪
Paul McCartney and John Lennon both lost their mothers as teenagers. McCartneys mother in 1956 and Lennon’s mother in 1958. Could they have been very little? I think not. 😥
Sean penn deserves an award for this to be honest! This was so good and sad ☹️ all at the same time
"Where does the hour go in daylight savings?"
....
Where does it go?
Oh, I get that...but at first, it is one of those questions that makes you stop and think. Also, how would you explain it to a child?
@@Wolfmyth100 it doesn't go anywhere, its just a tool to adjust for less sunlight in the winter
Dakota Eyes just brings so much emotion. Like a wise mature woman.
Bruh I'm crying cause my dad will never be this good
The scariest and happiest scene.
I was scared that she would hurt her daddy
I was happy that she loved to have him as her daddy.
Love this movie. Dakota has always been a fantastic actress at such a young age also her sister Elle too! Love Michelle's character in this too.
ONE OF THE GREATEST PERFORMANCE OF SEAN PENN
Baby Lucy was Dakota Fanning's little sister
purabibhuiyan no that was Dakota

I cried watching this scene... 😭
My tears are rolling down on my face. I think no body can help crying on watching this.
Sean Penn did a terrific acting job in this film...and of course the little girl as well.
She is so sweet in this. I think it was meant to be a tearjerker.
She’s one of my all time favorite actresses!
I cried when the boy said she said u adopted her
People are precious, whether they are not wise or beautiful. If that heart is beautiful. The sun is shining on everyone. Being alive must be a blessing. Don't look down on others. No, don't look down on us. Everyone loves others in their own place, appreciates the world in the corner, and lives hard.
Best cinematic acting you'll ever witness. Both of them
This is the sweetest movie!!!! I always think about the scene where hes working at Starbucks and organizes all the sugar. Its soothing lmao.
I totally wanna hug Sam and Lucy here.. Sean Penn has done an awesome job..
If my children are making any offensive comments about the special needs people, then they don’t deserve to be having a happy meal from McDonald’s, and take away their electronics as a grounded punishment.
And I thought that "Dead Man Walking" was a great movie. I can't tell you how fast this movie took the #1 spot as my favorite Sean Penn movie of all time. And for the record, I still love the movie "Dead Man Walking".
as she asks the questions one after another the music should slowly become scary horror music
I loved this movie, but I confess, the first time I saw the movie (on a VCR), I had no idea that the younger version of Lucy was played by Dakota Fanning's little sister Elle. I just thought she was somehow Dakota was a really good little actress to have pulled off the younger version of her self so well. 😆🤣
Shes was a great actress, I cant believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cried while watching this movie, and I was 18 in that time.
Love this movie
Kyle Broflovski Lucy is so adorable

He went home empty-handed.
Happy father day 2021

funniest movie of all time
This film looks fantastic
The fact that he's wearing two shirts
I miss my dad. He was Schizophrenic and could not work. He took me to the park, arcade, and made the best sautéed mushrooms.
- You are not like other daddies
