Fiona’s alcoholism was amazingly acted. It was so brutal, real and understandable considering everything she went through.
What we all went through.
fiona had the easiest life i ever seen portrayed on tv

Oh so Fiona is a saint when shes an alcoholic but Frank’s the piece of shit??
What fuckin a new guy every other episode
"You didn't care enough to know" is sooo true for so many people not taking responsibility, best show ever
I'm amazed at some of you ppl. You must be a woman. Cuz only women expect ppl to read their minds.

💯
Nah, thats just a copout for wanting to blame random shit on people. In this particular scene Fiona wasn't responsible for the actions of Jason. Jason is sole person responsible for his actions, end of story.
@@wuttut3276facts, he’s a grown ass man lmao
Honestly, when she started chuckling at him after he told her to get out, I half expected him to physically throw her out to show how serious he was.
Guys who deal with this bs don't have the stones usually. She would have been out long ago if he had options. Women know this that's why they chuckle when lap dog finally shows teeth. They have seen so many false alpha chest pumps they see through it. But then when it turns out to be real they realize they fucked up and judged a guy wrong as weak when he was always just giving the benefit of the doubt until he finally had enough. I dont watch this show and have no context on what type of guy he is beyond this moment but it's an interesting pattern that can be observed out in the world. Women don't chuckle at you when putting your foot down unless they have very little respect for you and don't believe you are the guy who means it.
@@guitarman0365that just means the guy didn't set boundaries or the women didn't respect you in the first place. Just based on this interaction I saw it as a kid shrinking from responsibility.

My trauma just hit
Damn. That really makes me rethink this scene.
As a relapsed alcoholic that was sober for 5 years. This hits home. I'm weaning off again. And I'm gonna make it through.
I wish you the best, cause I can't imagine having to pull yourself out of that 🥺
You've got this
6 years myself. You can do this.
It’s ok brother we all fall short sometimes i definitely have but every day is a new opportunity to be a better version of ourselves ❤❤
Best of luck man
I see both sides of this, truthfully. On one hand, it's easy to get mad at Lip and think that he was just lashing out at Fiona, and he was. Because probably, in his mind, he was just watching her turn into their father. Every single person in this family is deeply traumatized and damaged and they all struggle with being decent people because nobody taught them how to be. They just had to navigate and figure this shit out on their own since their own parents couldn't bring themselves to care about anyone more than themselves. Empathy, compassion, and so on are lessons taught to us by the adults in our lives, even if we can't fully remember those lessons. No, none of it was Fiona's fault, but she's stuck in a "I lost my childhood and had a bad life, and therefor I have a pass to be a shitshow now" loop. A lot of them were. A lot of people are.
Lip was an alcoholic too
trauma is made up by liberals and all these mfs were living the dream and are spoiled brats thru and thru.
Lip was absolutly in the wrong here.
it’s not an excuse-you’re still responsible for your decisions in the present regardless of your past.

Because I watched this show I got into sobriety. I held my first AA chip and flipped it in the air at the exact moment so did Lip. It looked like a sign I was on the right path.
I am now over 3 years sober and I sponsor other men. I have even worked at a sober living house. This show helped change my life.

No damn clue who you are and we will almost certainly never meet but I’m proud of you brother, you’ve done well and you’re on the good path.
Congratulations! Absolutely killing it, great job and proud of you!
Imagine having no control of yourself and celebrating that. Imagine publicly announcing “I can’t control myself” and expecting people to pat you on the back. Bro grow the fuck up.
Offering someone a drink without asking if they’re in AA is literally so normal like what. She didn’t even offer he asked for it. She had no way of knowing he was in AA the fuck
1) She was drunk in the middle of the day. That's not normal.
2) had she not been drunk, she'd've realized he was a recovering addict of some kind.
3) She says she's not sad, she's sorry she caused a relapse by being drunk in the middle of the day. That's not a heart-felt apology.
I interpret it as a way for him to vent his frustrations about HER alcoholism.
Is not about who's in the right, even if it wasn't her fault he's allowed to be upset, since that guy was 100 days sober and then went did H, that's how a lot of people's story end. Plus it was an accumulation of things that exploded at that moment.

Emmy Rossum’s performance throughout her final season of Shameless USA has been phenomenal especially the storyline regarding Fiona’s alcoholism.
I have alcoholic family members so I felt this. The smugness is very real. Unfortunately, alcoholics are far more vïolent in reality.

@@Mike-qb9khexactly! Lip also NEVER takes responsibility for anything he does or has done. He always makes sure the blame is directed outward. Unless the guy told Fiona that he was a user or in recovery, she wouldn't know and wouldn't think to ask. Only reason I figured it out was because the camera showed him staring at the vodka like it had life saving medicine in it.
That's the point... Fiona knows exactly what alcoholism looks like. She also probably knows what someone trying to be sober but is still struggling looks like.
Before Fiona started slipping and became an alcoholic, she would have noticed that he was not okay.
But she was drunk and only cared about having someone to drink with, and so she ignored all the signs that he was a recovering addict.

Did you miss the part where Lip said "you didn't care enough to know." Old Fiona wouldve cared enough to know. She turned into Frank. Lip turned into Fiona.
@@IDiggPattyMayonnaise Do you go around asking people if they are recovering drug addicts or alcoholics? If I drunk alcohol and someone asked for some, i wouldn't cross my mind to ask them if they are in recovery.
I think everyone’s forgetting it’s not just the fact that Fiona gave Jason the booze but it was her nonchalant attitude about it. She didn’t give a fuck, so in Lip’s mind, why should he give a fuck about Fiona if she doesn’t give a fuck about anything anymore? It doesn’t justify everything but just because Fiona had a rough childhood (like all of them did) doesn’t give her the right to do whatever she wants. Both of them have valid sides.
Did you see previous episodes she faced far worst stuff they all did . She was calm because she don't care just worst stuff happened before.
I'm gonna politely disagree.
I've not watched this show since season 8 I think, but from this clip and the comments, I got a solid grasp. Ultimately, no it was not Fiona's fault at all. Surprisingly, she shared something with someone, who ASKED, which is simply a kind gesture, on a surface level. How is she supposed to know that he's got 100 days clean, or that lip was his sponsor? Unless either of them told her, it falls back on the dude himself. He looks over 18, he's an adult, it is his responsibility to make the right decisions for himself.
Nah i’m ngl, Lip LOST me when he tried to use that point to get angry at her. Lip never mentioned him to Fiona, she literally didn’t know who he was, what his problems were, or anything of the sort, & Lip lashed out on her for HIS actions. He was way more justified when arguing for Xan, but for Jason? fully blaming that on Fiona was insane

Sorry but she has a point. No one has ever asked if anyone is in AA. It’s not her responsibility ultimately either to check who can and can’t drink due to addiction. If you’re a struggling addict it’s up to you to save yourself. You can’t expect someone to come when you need it most you have to be able to find a way to ask for the help yourself if you need it. He had every opportunity to call Lip before he asked for that drink and every opportunity to walk away from her drinking. Lip has a right to be mad but he shouldn’t be mad at her.

Fiona is a freakin hypocrite. The biggest one in the show.
She sacrificed everything for them, taking care of them even when Fiona needed help with her alcoholism. Despite always being there for others when they were at their lowest, when she needed support, especially from Philip and Debbie, they were selfish and treated her poorly, I don’t blame Fiona for leaving because her life and that house was insane.
you just tryin to stick fiona. she is and always has been the worst. selfish, blaming everyone else when she fucks up. and can never admit she is wrong, which she is often
Fiona had multiple times to have an amazing career which would’ve made her taking care of the kids 100x easier , but it’s this Fiona that is the one who always fucks it up herself .
Fiona was selfish. You guys are talking like she is so selfless when she had done so many messed up things and never took accountability, and whenever her actions caused major problems she played the victim. Plus once she found a tiny bit of success she completely stopped caring about her family

"The old Fiona wouldve handled this" translates to "I expect you to ALWAYS cover for me, why didnt you?". Fiona being drunk in the middle of the day is a problem on its own, but knowing she drinks and still expecting to have her cover for him on demand is stupid.
And magically expecting her to know about his sponsee is both stupid AND irresponsible. Sobriety is a 2 way street, as i know myself, and expecting people you meet to know what you're trying to avoid is stupid. You AVOID those situations, as is YOUR responsibility.
That entire family grew dependant on Fiona to solve all of their problems (Debbie wanting her to lie to the welfare office on her behalf, Lip wanting her to keep up appearances for CPS while knowing she is an alcoholic/substance abuser); it makes sense that eventually Fiona would get sick of it and leave.
It also is unsurprising that Fiona would break in self destructive methods if she feels everyone is taking and no one is giving like she is
I hate Lip. Don’t get me wrong, Fiona sure as shit wasn’t perfect and had messed up a few times (like with Liam), but she for the most part always took accountability and was remorseful for her actions. Lip however always blamed her and everyone else for his problems and almost never fully took accountability. Fiona didn’t know he was in recovery, Fiona had no idea because Lip never communicated with her at all. And once Fiona started becoming an addict he was VERY quick to judge her and shame her and basically treat her like shit when all she needed was help.
They inversed in their arcs. The reason Lip is so mad at Fiona is because it’s not just a drinking problem. She’s actively fucking him over with her shit. Seeing your “mother figure” basically go down the same route she warned you not to go down on and pretend like it’s not her fault. You’d likely feel hurt and can’t stand to see someone fall so hard.
I agree. Fiona went through hell to raise Lip, and in the end, all the stress and trauma caught up with her and she went though a dark period, a depressed state, brought in by all the things she had no time to deal with emotionally (which was honestly expected), and Lip just expected her to act perfect all the time. Like, the second she made a bad mistake and fell from grace, it was over and she was no longer useful to Lip. Like he wanted the useful saint or nothing, so he wanted her gone. Unlike Frank, Fiona loved Lip. You don't give up on people because they fall.
@@mrj1897see he made it about his own pain and trauma....she is her own person not his mommy anymore...instead of seeing her as a person with her own struggles and trauma
@@natasha5553 She almost killed someone. She also knocked a recovering addict off the wagon because she was wallowing in her own self-pity.
You can't just say I'm sorry and fix these things. It's not a bandaid that magically makes it go away.
Lip was the only one trying to hold her accountable the same way she did to him and everyone else until she spiraled and started turning into Frank.
It's crazy you're praising early seasons Fiona for her sense of accountability, then dislike Lip for wanting her to be accountable to her mistakes. Her hypocrisy was damaging everyone around her. Given, her situation is not her fault and she was dealt some really rough cards, but for years she preached one thing, and here she is doing the opposite. She's becoming Frank.
Carl just being there😂
As a person from the Midwest it’s so hard not to notice their New York accents in this Chicago based show😂Especially when they’re arguing it’s extra heavy lmao
Their chemistry as siblings was fkn amazing. Emmy Rossum is so underrated. I cried a million times watching this show - and would laugh like 5 minutes later. Like real life. Soooo good.
I fuckin hate how she chuckles after someone tells her something she’s legitimately doing wrong
Everybody wants to say lip was in the wrong but she literally was drunk asf in the middle of the day and been expecting lip to clean up everything while she sits back and relaxes Fiona took Frank’s place and lip took Fiona’s place while even after being told her drinking is a problem she looks him dead in eyes laughs a little and basically says “I’m not gonna quit” y’all know how traumatizing that is to hear? She didn’t know that he was 100 days sober but the way he was looking, staring, hesitant, you could tell he was thinking hard about drinking it but at the same time knew he shouldn’t so he hesitates seeing all this Fiona should’ve asked if he’s at least alright? He probably would’ve told the truth and she could smack the drink out his hand or something. But the whole point of the scene is Fiona is worried about venting about her life to him and letting her emotions out so focused on her to the point where she noticed none of the red flags that would’ve screamed “recovering addict” and that’s what lip means by “you didn’t care enough to know”
Lip WAS an alcoholic. Now he’s a recovering alcoholic at this point in the show. Fiona hasn’t even hit her rock bottom yet. Whereas Lip has already been there, done that. Lip had to let Fiona hit rock bottom on her own in order to get her to realize how powerless she really is; and he only wanted what was best for her and chose the tough love route to help her get there. Sometimes that’s the only way to help someone you love. It may not make sense for Fiona (or anyone who can relate to Fiona) or anyone from the outside at that point in time but it will eventually.
Fiona, Lip, or anybody doesn’t have control over anyone or anything. IMO, Fiona needed this!!! But it is heartbreaking that Lip’s sponsee had to pay the price, though. However, as someone who is in recovery, I think that relapses are all part of the process. Otherwise how can you evolve towards recovery if you’re not making mistakes to learn from them? NO PAIN, NO GAIN!!
are you really justifying him kicking her out after everything she has done for him? she needs help, not to get kicked out of her own house tf
@@matelko333 It’s called tough love. And it worked. I definitely do not justify Fiona continuing down the rabbit hole where it affects the rest of the family. Specifically the younger ones who likely needed their bigger sister sober and back to herself. Not another Frank.

V paid Lip a visit and asked why the animosity towards Fiona. Lip even asks V not to let Fiona stay at her house “if she was really Fiona’s friend and if she truly loves her…” then she’s not going to let Fiona stay at her and Kevs place.

I also here Lip is most hurt by the fact it was her and that the one that helped him the most is turning into the same type of person their dad was. It's a really good show and really is true to the situations
I mean, Lip said it here, didn’t he? “The old Fiona would have handled this”. That’s what he expected from her, a cover, a sounding board, and in many ways, a parent. When she even slipped a tiny bit, that was it for her in his eyes. Ungrateful doesn’t even begin to describe it.

Holy wow am I glad you aren’t a sponsor for anyone.
I forgot how messy Fiona was during her last season. Along with how that nasty breakup with Ford would lead to her hitting rock bottom....again. Hurricane Fiona doesn't fall far from the tree after all. Then again, that "quick" reality check from her lawyer of her avoiding jail time near the end of season 9 seems to fit well with her finally moving on from being an official Mom to her siblings. Could've taken Liam because of legal reasons, but I digress.
Intense, that is the only word for it... it was perfect... perfect. 👍
Tbh with you Fiona didn’t owe anyone anything anymore. And that’s the truth. If Fiona wanted to be drunk she can be. Everyone is grown except for Liam and nobody was looking out for Liam, he was taking care of himself. Everyone was blaming their shit on Fiona because she wasn’t helping them anymore but she doesn’t need to. It’s not her responsibility anymore.
From what I gather it’s less about her “not helping” and more about being a “nuisance”. But hey, no one is necessarily in the right. There’s no “correct” way do deal with something like this. Even if there was a better way to handle it, there’s still consequences. Say Fiona straightens out right there, then what? Lip probably goes back to his old self. Neither of them would learn anything from this experience if they got it right the first time.
Yeah, family doesn’t mean shit to you apparently
While I agree Fiona did everything for them for so long she didn't owe them but she still owed them to not become like their parents and drag them down like Frank and Monica always had, if she was going to spin out she should have left.

Now honestly I really feel lip just wanted any reason to get mad at Fiona or to talk down on her because the whole part of that dude getting drunk while he was in recovery was not at all Fiona‘s fault whether or not if she had the alcohol, it was his choice to give in to temptation he was obviously too weak to have that shit around him, and honestly if it wasn’t Fiona then It would’ve been another circumstance causing him to relapsing. Another thing lip can’t kick anyone out of the house that’s underneath their name
What an absolutely silly take. Fiona at this time was on a path straight to being Frank. Fiona was taking zero accountability for her actions and despite maybe being a little hypocritical, Lip was absolutely right in everything he said
@@amorantoboy Absolutely not true on lips part lip neither takes accountability himself he always blames everybody else for his shit, but there was a another episode when Fiona got drunk with vee, Vee took accountability for bringing the vodka lip had respond it with “you didn’t shove the alcohol down her throat” The same goes for that guy he was sponsoring she had no idea he was in recovery And she didn’t shove alcohol down his throat either, well like I said he was obviously too weak to be around alcohol so if it wasn’t Fiona that had that shit around him causing him a relapse it would’ve been somebody else that made him give into temptation. The point is lip was a grown ass man that should’ve handled his own shit especially when I came to him trying to adopt that little girl not depending on Fiona when she was going through her hot ass mess era Plus he had no right trying to kick her out that house was underneath her name, it’s not really silly if you watch literally the whole series you see that Lip just had some weird ass competition towards Fiona even before her going through issues with alcohol When she was doing her best doing what she could for her siblings lip and Debbie were the biggest ingrates, lip constantly belittled her and reminding her of her failures
Definitely Fiona fault at this point she was the woman version of frank, itleast lip finally had enough
Well she definitely did nothing to help him… idk how you can saying putting a desired substance in front of someone with addictïon, especially in recovery when you want it the most is his fault… Someone relapsing doesn’t make them “weak,” the body and mind physically push you there. You definitely should not be enabling this.
@@brookelynnwu8016it's not her job to help him.
People like to defend fiona like what she did for her siblings is a get out of jail free card for every bs she did wrong for the rest of her entire existence. Well it isn't,what she did any other older sibling worth a pinch of salt would have done and does every day. And the biggest bs is that she actually showed that card any time it was convenient for her when she did some stupid thing or ruined someone else's life. What people don't realize when they defend her is that every time they do they mention frank and monica being horrible parents while completely disregarding that fiona literally turned into them and acted the exact same way they did. Every thing she did that was messed up was never her fault, all she cared about was herself, being drunk and high and doing anything she could do get that, she brough nothing but Misery and difficulty into the family and others around them. She Turned into frank and always used Frank being a douche to justify her being the same.
Both her and debbie were the most detestable people in this entire series and the worse part is that people like this actually exist.
Yeah Fiona sacraficed a lot for them but that doesn't mean she can just fall in a downward spiral without any comments because of what she did.
Fiona did more than frank the kids were horrible to her every time they was in trouble she was there but when she was in trouble nobody was there everything u said was invalid frank literally left his son in a trap
House
@@hectorperez5474you are literally doing what the comment says is bullshit to do. Saying that what she's doing is justified or more okay just because frank and Monica were horrible. The fact is that she was hurting people with her issues and was TURNING into those horrible people that were her parents
fiona is the only one in that family who sacrificed anything for the family.
Hot take, but this scene, and many others, is why I REALLY struggled to like Lip's character in this. The dude is the biggest fucking hypocrite in the show, and FIONA DID NOT KNOW. She had NO WAY of knowing that a grown ass adult was Lip's 100 day sober sponsee, so this being the thing that made him kick her out is stupid as hell
he looked stiff as hell when he lashed out too lmaoaoa
Fiona is the biggest hypocrite lol

God the actors are amazing
I've never really watched this show and this got me emotional and now I want to binge it
This show will remind you of young Sheldon, the way they live and the way Sheldon lives. I've never seen TV programs like this, kinda cool. Some sexy shows have unique scenes, like kissing and sex. Hope this show is on Hulu or peacock
Every time Fiona laughs/smiles I find her broken but just insane thinking she can get away with everything. Reminds me too much of my dad
I can understand why Lip was upset, but after all that Fiona has done for him, this was fucked up of Lip.
Fiona also threw Lip out of the house in earlier seasons for way less and when Lip threw her out, Fiona was damaging not only everyone's lives but also her own. She did a lot for all of them but that's not an excuse to drag them all down again.
Waved vodka in his face please shows how little lip knows his own sister
Fiona had to go away in order for those ungrateful brats to respect her. I hated how they treated her especially Lip & Debbie.
I kinda hate how lip treated her how they alll treated her when they got older but i can see lips pov here....
Yes Fiona lost her childhood but that’s no excuse for how she acted. Fiona turned into frank
@elizahamilton5599 the thing is all of them had moments where they were mimicking their parents the difference is so long as Fiona was sober she would do everything to get them back on the right track instead of doing this
I haven’t seen even one episode from this show. But the video is making me want to watch the whole series. I thought it was just a straight up comedy or something. Didn’t know it got this deep. Plus, my guy, Jeremy is here. Forgot about that
Ok, 1 it is 1000% not Fiona’s fault that the guy relapsed. In this situation it is the person in recovery’s responsibility to not give into their vices, she had no way of knowing that he was in recovery. Now if he said something or if lip mentioned it then that would swing around to it being her fault a little.
2. Fiona is absolutely not responsible for letting DPS or whatever into the house, yes she could have spun the situation to make lip look like a better guy, she’s done it before but again its his responsibility to bring it to the attention of the others a simple “hey, DFS is heading here to check if im a good foster parent make me look good” and she would have lied her ass of for him.
3rd and finnaly, i fucking hate lip in this scene and this part of the series, he is constantly refuseing to communicate to his siblings and makeing his problems theirs Ugg, like i would get it if Fiona was high on cocain like she was with Liam but no she was slightly drunk, what would he have done if frank was there, would he have given him the same speech fucking Hippocrite
ong bro i seen so many lip defenders here and it’s like? she’s not responsible for anyone’s sobriety, everyone put up w lip’s shit when he was fucking his life up but she doesn’t get the same grace?
Fiona took care of them yes and she saved there asses more times than anyone can count but as soon as they turned 18 they should not have expected it and they were never grateful. Lips biggest argument was he didn’t wanna be the golden goose of the family but Fiona never wanted that she only wanted him to live to his fullest potential and he threw it all away. Yes Fiona needed tough love but for a guy who’s supposed to be super smart he never handled situations like this very wisely. Fiona had every right to defend herself yes she had a drinking problem but a lot of the things he just blamed her for wasn’t her fault in the slightest
Lip couldve said something, LITERALLY ANYTHING to fiona or any of them. But no, he didn't, so now he had to pay for it. Both situations werent exactly fionas fault, she didnt have to walk around with alcohol on just a regular day and drag someone with her or she couldve made some effort to make lip look good when she realized it was DPS, but ultimately the blame falls on lip.
I absolutely love Emmy Rossum as she is a super talented actress and singer 🥰❤
Lip acts like he’s not a fuck up
But he got better
@@0311catholic true but he still acted like he wasn’t never a messed up
@MULAHUSSLEWEST true but the difference is that he stopped and got better. Just bc someone has had issues in the past doesn't invalidate what they do
@@0311catholic understood, but I said what I said and 11 others have agreed. 😎
@@KingBlavk 11 other people agreed that she wasn't as bad as her parents? I believe Hitler was not as bad as Stalin does that make him better? 😂 O IQ view of morality ....some people on the internet liked my comment about a girl not being as abusive as her parents 🤣 really? She's just as bad and continues the cycle 🤡
i see Fiona's side alot she did everything for them, she raised Lip, Ian, Debbie, carl and Liam its crazy to kick her out of the house when she is the reason Lip is still alive.
Her raising them isn't an excuse to spiral like she was doing.
Fabulous acting
Lip had a right to be mad but he had no right to be mad at Fiona. He also had absolutely no right to kick her out of her own house.
1. Lip didn’t tell Fiona about DCFS
2. Fiona didn’t force booze down the throat of Lip’s sponsee or even peer pressure him. He didn’t even say he was a recovering addict he had a choice, he chose wrong. Thats on him
He legit said "do you mind"
This whole series could be called "A Series of Unfortunate Events". 😅
People are responsible for their own sobriety and sponsors are there to help navigate and Lip helped him navigate right into a house full of triggers and knew Fiona was an alcoholic too…he shouldn’t have been there either. It’s not Fiona’s fault, it’s his if we really wanna get down to the facts.
Live long enough to see yourself become your dad
Just remember... all of this self-destructive behavior and toxicity started with their parents.
That’s how it usually goes, unfortunately.
Man, I watched the first few seasons of this show then stopped after I got behind. I may have to bine the entire thing, very well acted drama. This video just hit different like I never stopped watching.
“You didn’t care enough to know” Yeah, because people have their own issues to deal with. Like she said, she didn’t know
She should've. It's not hard to pay attention to the people around you.
@@alexanderchippel You’re right about that, but 9 out of 10, you would only do that if it was someone or something you cared about. Did lip do his part as a sponsor and tell Fiona that this friend of his was a recovering addict??
@@alexanderchippelNope, don’t treat people like mind readers. It’s selfish.
@@shayla106 You should treat people like adults who can pick up on social ques and know how to ask questions and gauge reactions. It's not mind reading, is basic human interaction.
Fiona's always been so petty tbh. Now it's at the point where she's allowing her post to destroy her, later she's gonna understand why Frank is the way he is.
The fact she wasn’t more remorseful is what is crazy. It’s not about fault, it’s about caring that something so bad happened. An appropriate response would be “oh fuck! I didn’t know!!!! Fuck!!!” not, “it’s not my fault” *shrug* And what’s crazy, is I could tell by his acting that he was relapsing…
Cousin? Shit’s fire, chef
Check out who's on the subway in this scene 😉
ua-cam.com/video/nTyhwmsmqso/v-deo.html
This show's acting is always one point
Everyone is looking at this based on what these siblings have done, Lip by all means was never perfect it was but it was because of how hard Fiona was on him that he was able to stop his own self destruction, as a younger sibling, it would break my heart to see my sister self destruct like that, Lip wasn't lashing out at her because he was angry, he did it because he was disappointed wit what his sister was doing, she can't expect him to hold himself accountable for his fuck ups if she's not holding herself accountable for hers, at the end of the day he didn't want her becoming anything remotely close to their parents
So he kicked her out. Smart decision...like wtf
@@Naidyonov7 just cause your someone's family doesn't mean you have to condone their choices and actions, would u be OK allowing your sis to continue living with you if it means that what happened could repeat itself, sometimes tough love is the best love to give it's sucks, but alot of times it works out, I'm living proof of that, but at the same time, I understand why you feel that way
@@PrinceDevitt_V2 i mean sometimes yes, but Fiona cared for them. And Lip pays her back by showing though love by kicking her out. I mean restricting her or punishing her some other way is understandable. But kicking your sister out on her lowest, with 50/50 chance She might end up as a homeless drunk is just being careless.
@@Naidyonov7 like I said I understand but take it from someone who was literally in this same situation when he was 14, I watch my older bro kick out my older sis, and if she were still on the streets today guess what, she'd tell you herself it would be her fault for ending up and remaining in that position, stop making excuses for Fiona she's a grown ass woman who knows right from wrong, like I said Lip was never perfect but then again alot of his decisions never truly led to no one's life being jeopardy, or did you all of a sudden forget what happened to Liam when Fiona had to keep an eye on him, sounds like your the type to let a whole lot of things and people slide no matter how server or fucked up it may be
As this family gets older the alcohol eventually comes into play. Sad
she was responsible for that dude’s relapse and showed zero remorse.
Lip is the best character hands down!!!!
I see your Lip and raise you White Boy Carl. Funny, inspirational, iconic, and doesn’t throw his whole future and education away because “boo hoo south side rules.”
The character assassination of fiona as the show went on was just too much
Fiona becoming frank
Lip was so wrong in both of the situations fiona did not know anything about both situations blame jason .
She didn't need to know in order to be wrong, that's the point. That's a really stupid take.
The point is that she's a mess and ruining the lives of everyone around her with her alcoholism. Lip was 100% in the right anyone who thinks otherwise should not be allowed near children.
How was he wrong when what she did was wrong
@@ameenrone4978 because how tf was she supposed to know his friend was sober? Like really? His friend could have been more grown up and let her know that he is 100 days sober, not ask for a drink. And lip should’ve been told her this before hand when she started drinking. So realistically I agree that she shouldn’t take accountability. Im not saying that she should be drinking everyday, but whenever she falls short it’s her fault when rlly in some of the situations it’s really not though. And then on top of that all her siblings think that she knows everything and she doesn’t and lip expecting her to know everything is bullshit
@@Genesis_Hurtstop given her a pass
@@pamelasmart8013 I’m not though. I’ve seen the other shit she has done but in these two particular situations where Lip didn’t communicate more effectively with Fiona and let her be aware of the situation as a whole is honestly his fault too. Bc Fionna isn’t supposed to know everything from the top of her head.
Lip was pissed about DFS, and the vodka thing was just the straw that broke the cammels back.
At the end of the day, this is how poorly he is treating the woman that practically raised him…yeah she’s fucking up, yeah she’s on a bender, yeah she doesn’t care anymore…this isn’t how you handle somebody who has given everything for others and YOU (specifically you to know better and right from wrong) and is now filling it with the only thing she knows how’s. Fiona deserved so much more compassion than shit from others.
You cannot save an alcoholic they have to help themselves. My stepfather was drunk and never did anything good except die. My mother was addicted to prescription drugs over med and self med. Myself My brother and sister made it out damaged. My brother was addicted to drugs and alcohol he died in 2017. My sister had to move to another state she is happy healthy and living her best life. I have a great family unfortunately I could not have around an addict can't be trusted
For everyone taking up for Fiona by saying that when Lip was at his lowest Fiona hepled him by encouraging him to go back to school and helped get him a job while she was at her lowest he kicked her out, let me explain something to you. Fiona was a legal guardian to all of her siblings and then later still had to be a legal guardian to the rest of her 3 siblings (Ian and Lip are 18+ now at this point) as guardian you can't be doing the crap that Fiona was doing and Lip was stepping up to take care of the stuff that Fiona wasn't taking care while still struggling with his sobriety his damn self now he has to make sure that Fiona doesn't go down the same path, he was 100% right in this situation. He saw that Fiona wasn't willing or ready to change so he did what he had to do for the sake of his 3 younger siblings and kicked her out.
Lip is a hypocrite and an ungrateful brat. He never once tried to help her when she needed it.
