- Prerna Chakkingal is on a mission to bring awareness to the topic of diversity and inclusivity in a world that thrives on labels. Prerna Chakkingal is a sophomore at South Fayette High School in Pittsburgh, PA.
She is a pianist with national and international guild awards. She enjoys serving her community by fulfilling her duties of a girl scout senior. In her free time, she loves to dance and express herself through actions and expressions.
She feels strongly on social issues like feminism and racism, and she hopes to inspire the new generation of young kids with an openness to accept everyone as they are. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
The world would be better (and more interesting) if people learn to judge less and embrace each other's differences. She is such a powerful speaker, loving her fire and passion!

We are all human beings, the ordinary people with a common problem. Each of us has the right to be respectful by others. Nobody's the right to look down on us. We are in charge of our life and destiny as well. I feel up to reaching an awful lot of things for my family for living a prolific life.
Amazing speech, truly inspiring words, because there is always much more than we share than those things that divide us.
