I don't understand how these videos have such "low" views! They're some of the best-edited videos I've seen on UA-cam and are much better than much of the crap on TV. Deserve much more than 7,000 subscribers buddy!
+Karl Watson: Travel Documentaries Quick question, are they tagged properly?? When I searched for "Around the world trip" I never saw any of them. Only found your channel by accident! :)
+hubbitut I had the same experience. I was extensively searching for a Phuket video and came across this by sheer luck. But this is better than anything else I've seen so far.
+T4K Games totally agree ive been searching for weeks and only found this this evening and have watch all but 2. also huge repect to you guys for having the patience to fil it for that long. id have lossed the camera. im taking the new go pro 4 plus black this time so hoping to get all day footage with the head cam
you are right whale! if you came to peru please let me know, i´ll be glad to help you, and please check out this website if you are coming to peru backpacker-nation.com
Love the authenticity! No fake excitement, no luxury resorts! If u have any sponsored “reviews”, great job cuz i didnt even notice. I just came across ur vids and I’m binge watching all! I m loving it. Great work!
Thanks! There’s nothing sponsored in this entire series, paid for it all ourselves. In fact nearly all my films are self funded, whenever there’s an exception I explicitly say so 😊 glad you’re enjoying it 👍
Machu Picchu has been on my bucket list since I was a little kid and I've seen so many pictures of it but I really had no idea about the Inca trail and how insanely beautiful those mountains are. This leg of the trip really stood out for me. I'm definitely going to make it a point to do the Inca trail when I go. Love your work Karl (& James!!!)
This is amazing, I've literally just spent the day watching your videos. One of my dreams is to backpack the world, so this inspires me a ton. Awesome footage as well!
I have seen literally hundreds of great videos on youtube but this is by far one of the best I've ever seen! Keep up this great work of capturing emotions!
I cried I laughed I cried. The porters introducing themselves to the group, 4 days bonding, then culminating in goodbyes, expressing thanks to the porters. Memories made forever Karl. The editing, the music, the monologue. Wow. Just Wow 👏 👏 👏
Inca Trail seemed like one of the best trekking adventures in your trip, backpacking but with that whole crew it was still like pleasant almost luxurious accommodation and the meals they prepared wow😱 and possibly one of it not the best views on the trip from the camps you stayed there, and how the fog and mist lowered for when you entered Machu Piccu - magical 🤩
The bit on 33 minutes about feeling cynical to wards the day trippers - exactly! After four days roughing it, we were determined to make sure we got priority when going up and downstairs and the day trippers waited their turn. So funny that you noticed it too :) Excellent video - brought back some amazing memories.
Really enjoyed when the porters introduced themselves. They seem to be lovely people :) Going there in May, can’t wait! Great Channel btw, really enjoying the HK2NY series!
I truly do not know how your videos don't have more views, better than anything in tv! The inca trail seems really amazing and it was wonderful how y'all connected with the people. Great Video!
I'm binge-watching this series! So far, the Inca Trail and the Amazon Jungle are my favorite part! Also, James is quintessentially enthusiastic and a go-with-the-flow kind of traveler. I hope all travelers are like James! :D
Man, beautiful documentary series you have created. Its a perfect blend of seriousness, but also down to earth and humanized. The shots are amazing, and the background music are perfect and give added effect. I've always wanted to travel around the world, and this inspired me even more.
This was a great way to experience the Inca trail. I will definitely be one of those lazy people on the train one day when I am able to visit because I have bronchial asthma. HaHa. But this really gave me joy to watch because I would love to be able to hike the Inca trail. I feel like I was kind of there on the journey with you. Thanks for sharing and inspiring others.
great episode, peru is one of the best countries ive ever visited and machu picchu one of the greatest things ive ever seen along with the taj mahal! bringing back many great memories, your episodes are making me want to go travelling again lol.
I absolutely love your videos! I myself plan to go travelling with a friend in April next year, (Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, New Zealand ad Australia) and whilst I was more scared than exited, watching these video's has completely turned that around! Now, I cant wait to get out of the UK and just go! I love the fact that not only are your videos funny, bu they are also informative, you convey the emotional aspect of your adventures very well! Please Please keep these video's coming! You're both doing a fab job!!
Karl, this was not at all what I expected. Peru is such a diverse country. Very beautiful and so are the people there. I wasn't too crazy about all the critters running about, it's insect hell for sure. You didn't so enough leg in this video though, ha! Thanks again for such a great video tour. On to the next.
Amazing!! im taking the Inca trail with my wife and brother soon. Ive been looking all over for an informative video on the Journey. Yours is the by far the BEST. Thank you
I am planning a WOOFF/Workaway trip to South America with my 27-year-old daughter and couldn't decide between Colombia, Ecuador, or Peru. After watching this, I think Peru may win. A week of volunteer work, and then a week to explore Machu PIchu sounds like a great goal for 2016. Beautiful work, you guys!
I hope these travel documentaries got you something (apart from the experiences obviously) because my gf and I both think they're brilliant. I initially thought they must have originally been from tv. Would love to know how to make professional videos like these also.
This video is absolutely incredible! Very well edited with amazing footage. I even got a little bit emotional at times haha. I'm going to Peru in May for 5 weeks and I can't wait!
Rewatched. I was amazed by the encounter with Ciaran and Karen. It was astonishing that they met for the second time and were able to interact with Karl.
I found your video because I was looking for good info on Peru ... Loved your video. Loved the Inca Trail but I noticed no one looked like they were over 30? I'm over 50 ... what do you think? Too tough for an old girl?
I was originally thinking to just backpack Europe. But after seeing this, I'm thinking fuck it I want to do this too. Excellent videos, do you make films professionally? Because this would not look out of place on the the TV at all on as a documentary.
Im not convinced that the Inca Trail is more a Tourist $$ spinner than a spiritual/ enlightenment experience. Checking out the prices l would expect great food, great service and great guides. That very first village you went to the guide said "this is not dress up for Tourist benefit" (as they layed out all the obligatory souvenirs), sure. But ld agree with you walking up is the way to go and the experience and views👍👍. Glad you finally got to see some crocs all be it in the Amazon not Australia 🤣. The shots you got of the wildlife and insects was awesome. Thanks guys a great vid.
very amazing and love to see karl Watson Tours.nice guys.i think one thing is missing its karl watson should provide every detail of tour agents and hotels there because there r too much scam there in some countries and karl Watson has lots of reserch involved in it .
What an amazing video! I'll be leaving for Peru in January, so I was looking for some travel videos. Yours is, hands down, one of the best travel videos I've ever seen. Period. Thank you so much for filming your adventures. I'll be subscribing and linking this to my fb. :)
your Philippine travel docu brought me here. loved this one! I always wanted to go to Macchu Picchu. great travel documentaries :) Keep up the good work and keep travelling. binge watching on your videos. haha! - JR from the Philippines!
But the walking part is a myth that is taught to the guides. Yes it grows roots towards the sun and the shaded ones die off, but the tap root remains in place. Sorry.
Wow I spent all day watching all your videos lol. I plan to backpack Central and South America this year. Enjoying all your video and noting down some ideas to do. Thank you for this 😁
I've always wanted to go to Machu Picchu. I'm not sure if I could do the walk (I'm not in the best of shape, lol), but it would definitely be worth it. This was very informative and great to watch. Thanks!
Real adventure, reminds me to our travels into the jungle of Borneo on a house boat upstream to the Orang Utan Camp Leaky in South Kalimantan/ Indonesian side
I just visited Macchu Picchu about 2 months ago, I wish I had had time to hike the Inca Trail, maybe next time! Also, if you are looking for another wonderful country in South America to visit, I highly recommend Bolivia, it is gorgeous, plenty to see, amazing people, and it is very very cheap.
I don't understand how these videos have such "low" views! They're some of the best-edited videos I've seen on UA-cam and are much better than much of the crap on TV. Deserve much more than 7,000 subscribers buddy!

Machu Picchu has been on my bucket list since I was a little kid and I've seen so many pictures of it but I really had no idea about the Inca trail and how insanely beautiful those mountains are. But the walking part is a myth that is taught to the guides. Yes it grows roots towards the sun and the shaded ones die off, but the tap root remains in place. Sorry.
Very high quality production, I feel like watching TV. Views should be higher. I guess can't beat those bikini thumbnail with BS content.
