"I'm the inferior? Who's the inferior? Yeah, we need to check the interior" of THE SYSTEM that only cares about one culture And that's why We gotta TAKE THE POWER BACK"
So hard to choose just 3 but since you keep asking; 1. Freedom 2. Wake Up 3. Know Your Enemy Freedom is my fave because I learned something new and their passion is tangible. Wake up, #2 because I have always been one to try and wake others to our country’s inherent “ injustice” system and #3 Know Your Enemy- when they break into “Yes I know my enemies, they’re the teachers who taught me to fight me...” - I discovered The Clash when I was in middle school. When I saw them I immediately recognized that those guys had something to say, and it was important. I bought their album London Calling and studied their lyrics and learned so much about the world outside of my bubble. I was an angry youth, rebellious. The Clash gave me something to direct my angst and energy towards. I cut my hair off, stuck safety pins in my ears. Tore my clothing, painted angry slogans on my shirts. I finally was free to show everyone who didn’t understand me, fuck you I don’t want to be normal. The minute I was comfortable with my new found freedom, teachers hated me. They hated me before they even said a word to me. Told me I’d never amount to anything. Called me a loser to my face. Every day I went to school I felt like a warrior, until one day. I just felt like I couldn’t fight the battle anymore. From 7th grade to 10th grade only one teacher ever showed he understood me. Sadly, I gave in and conformed, compromised my beliefs. With Trump, that angst returned. That caged rage had been bubbling inside me. Then George Floyd happened and I started watching Clash and Sex Pistols videos on YT. I stumbled upon a Reaction guy and he listed his top 20 reactions. I knew all the artists except one- RATM. I heard their name but not their music. I checked his reaction to Bulls on Parade and it was all over. I missed out this gift to humanity because I was starting a family and dropped off the music scene for a long while. What a great time to discover Rage. I wonder how many old punkers out there that are just now discovering these guys. I could go on. The song I’d like to hear Rage cover is The Clash- Straight to Hell. In one of your reactions you said that you feel like you’re hearing a new album with every new song by Rage. I concur.
I've been listening to ratm since the early 90's when this album first dropped. I dug it the first time i heard zach's passion, anger, wisdom and persistence! This music is so fire! Unfortunately the people who need to hear the message the most will never hear it! Although i do have hope that people who have not heard ratm will one day hear itand inspire them to change the way they look at society. Im sure this is clear to you my man i am not a wordsmith i wish i was so i could articulate my thoughts properly man! My favorite video from ratm is sleep now in a fire! Entirely do to the content envolved ..maybe it taught a few ignorant silver spoon fed people something! I live in Florida near Daytona Beach but im a Buffalo NYer for life man! 716 stand up and be heard!! Aye man be safe out there my man i dig your vibe man! Peace!
One of your questions was regarding which Rage song we thought you should cover; I'd suggest this one. Down Rodeo is great, but I think the lyrics and message are easily misunderstood. Take The Power Back is straightforward, has serious bars, and is funky as funk! 😉
ANOTHER Great Reaction RAH ! Bombtrack, Pistol Grip Pump, Maggie's Farm, Know Your Enemy, Fists of Steal, Calm like a bomb, Killing in the Name, are my top fav's. It hard to pick when you love it all! 🎶🔥🔥🤘😁🔥🔥🎶 "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.” Keep expanding your knowledge of Great Music. I love when you start droppin' those 🔥bars in the vid's. 😏😋
PISTOL GRIP PUMP.... and amazingly....they did a cover of Volume 10's Pistol Grip Pump. My favorite sound Rage has done. The bass and the pump of the song will blow your mind.
“Sleep now in the fire” is a cool video. They literally have to close Wall Street when they are filming their video without permission or a permit. Michael Moore is the director.
Rage did an entire album of covers. They covered Volume 10's Pistol Grip Pump, Cypress Hill's How Could I Just Kill A Man. Both outstanding! ua-cam.com/video/jstb6yvIKNg/v-deo.html
React to Ghost of Tom Joad! Its a cover of Bruce Springstein and refren e to a great book, The Grapes of Wrath, which tells the story of the abuse of the poor and downtrodden... always relevant when we are speaking about social imjustice. This is one of those youll say I can believe I didn't do this a ling time ago!!! So do it now and have no regrets!!! Lol
I grew up with RATM, and always thought their music and lyrics were genius, but never agreed with their politics (they being Marxists and me being a market anarchist). It was an amusing footnote then, but with all the ideological violence in the streets now, it's become harder for me to get down with their message. I still love them for their musicianship.
@@stronghold500 I think we could have a very long, mostly fruitless discussion on the nature of submission. In the end we all choose a master, internal or external.
RATM is the best Anti-Government band that their is.. You got to listen to the lyrics.. try "Ghost of Tom Joad" or "Bulls on Parade" if you haven't all ready
I don't think you've done RATM "How I Could Just Kill A Man" a cover of Cypress Hill While you're mixing Cypress Hill and RATM go ahead and listen to "Unfuck The World" by Prophets of Rage

People talk about how good Tom Morello is, which he is, but people sleep on how good Tim plays that bass.
Tim and Brad are beasts holding down that rhythm and driving the beat. Both highly underrated.
🔥🔥🔥
I give credit to the entire band. They are fire! 🔥🤘😋
Tim wipes the floor with Flea. ✌
Yeah i agree there is some songs where morello is good as always but tim's beat was holding the track like bullet in the head that bass was nasty

I liked after you said “I said, you can kill a revolutionary but you can’t kill the revolution.” Right on✊🏻
✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿
That's weird, cuz there's a song by RATM & TOOL where they say the exact same thing. Check it out: ua-cam.com/video/y25ICRT2-Dg/v-deo.html
Holly Sorensen Thanks for sharing! Saved it to my faves list.

RAH ROLL RIGHT. BEST BASS GROOVE EVER. ✌
A cover of this song and the message it has is much needed to brought back for the peoples ears in 2020 (especially for the new generation/revolution)

Agreed! That low-end is re-donky-lous
I would have loved to see the 1996-97 era Marilyn Manson cover RATM's song "Snakecharmer". Holy shit that would have been amazing!

The only reason Joe left was because another company threw a literal pile of money at him
