I think the guitar solos that Kirk Hammett has done on The Black Album all the way to 72 Seasons were inspired but that inspiration leads to repetitive ideas and confused writing. I think it's Kirk wanting to be edgy and technical while maintaining his signature tone, keeping it in the confines of the song, and doing something different. Being inspired to play or create a solo he is always down for. He needs to do a solo none metal album I think. He needs to maybe not do a metal solo project but one inspired by blues and jazz. This could restart the creativity for metal guitar solos. Different ideas that does work in blues or jazz but can translate to metal also. Maybe even add more delay or more distortion even reverb to the over used wah. What does Kirk like to drink? Wahter. When Kirk isn't performing or surfing what does he like to do? He likes to wahlk on the beach. Why did Kirk's wife get mad at him? He wanted to name thier kid Wahlter Wah Wah Wammy Bar Hammett.
