Starbucks Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam at home!

- I have experimented A TON to get the perfect sweet cream cold foam that actually stayed thick and foamy, just like Starbucks! I filmed this recipe a few weeks ago and I have been dying to share it with you all! Let me know what you think if you've tried this recipe! Enjoy
www.youtube.co...
Recipe:
1 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup 2% milk
8-10 pumps of vanilla syrup OR 4-5 tbsp of vanilla syrup (one pump of the syrup is equal to 1/2 tbsp
I use 1/2 cup of this mixture on top of my cold brew.
HAND FROTHER: www.amazon.ca/...
For anyone that doesn’t have a pump. It’s 4 tablespoons of vanilla syrup, 1 cup of heavy cream, 1/2 cup of 2% milk
Does it have to be 2% milk? Can it be whole and can I use coconut or oat milk instead?
Absolutely! The whole milk may make it whip up a lot faster so be aware of the consistency while you’re using a frother or whatever you use to whip it into foam. As far as the oat or coconut milk-I don’t see why not, it should be fine. I think the most important ingredient is the heavy whipping cream. Have fun with the foam!
@@Soul_N_Control The whole milk will not hold the foam for as long as the 2%, but other than that it will work.
Everytime I make it the "cold foam" goes right to the bottom of the cup with little to nothing on top.
It ends up looking more like a cappuccino, any advice??
Thanks! ❤
As a former Starbucks barista, I can say this is exactly how we made it.
It's there no egg white? Or how is the cloud one made?
@@xRiniX666x it’s made with egg powder
@@bradgong3357 share the secret lol
How long does it last in the fridge? Does it eventually separate?
@@Hannah-kk7wp I honestly couldn’t tell you, we’d go through 4 liters of the stuff in like 3 days lol
I used to work at Starbucks and this is pretty spot on! All we do it get some heavy cream, put in into a blender and add some vanilla syrup than we blend for 15 seconds and that’s it.
I keep getting different answers but how much syrup is in one pump? It seems a lot more than what I’ve been told. Thanks!
@@370JDUB I’m pretty sure it’s one fluid oz
@@370JDUB in tbsp 1/2 ( it’s in description) :)
thank you soooo much 👍
So you dont add 2% milk ?
Hey guys so vanilla syrup is made with :
1 cup water
1 cup sugar - mix and melt until translucent
- add one tablespoon vanilla essence after your turn off your stove !
I made my own lavender syrup, by steeping tea bags in the sugar water mixture. :-)
can i use a blender?
@@patricewillams3810 Why would you use a blender? Sugar doesn't take that long to dissolve in water. This is basically a recipe for simple syrup with vanilla extract, but heated on the stove to evaporate water to thicken the syrup. You can let the sugar water simmer on the stove for about 5 minutes, and add about 1tbs of lime or lemon juice so the sugar syrup doesn't crystalize when it cools.
If you take whipped cream mix with vanilla coffee cream you get the same affect. For dairy free use coconut whipped cream and dairy free creamer.
Thank you for the vegan substitute!! Been trying to find one
thank you!! im vegan and trying this tonight!
Thank you for this recipe!! I made this keto and sugar free with heavy cream and half and half. Added a tsp of vanilla extract and a few drops of liquid monk fruit sweetener. Frothed for 1 minute plus. So, 2 ounces of foam on the iced coffee is approx. 1 g carb and less than 1 g sugar. 😊
How much half and half and heavy cream did you use? Thanks!
@@Sojournwell 2 TBSP heavy cream and 2 Tsp half and half. Froth for 30 sec. If frothing too long, it will be too thick.
Ooo exactly the comment I was looking for
Maple syrup is also a really yummy alternative!! For my homemade sweet cream I usually use heavy cream and maple syrup and if you want anything flavored you can buy a flavored maple syrup
No
Im going to try this! Thank you!
This is my favorite addiction from Starbucks, oh so good.
I made this and it’s perfect! So so good! I added salted caramel syrup to mine - 4 tablespoons and a pinch of salt
Oh wow thank you. This is literally all I go to SB for lol. I literally don't even care for coffee; I could take it or leave it. But that creamy foamy goodness on top 🥴 I be feigning for lol. I actually much rather prefer teas or my homemade chai latte I make with real herbs and spices and can't wait to make some of this to add on top of that 😋😋😋.
I LOVE Chai lattes!
This!!!!! This is an exact dupe for Starbucks vanilla sweet cream cold foam!! I watched I couldn’t even tell you how many videos. To see the difference e between the “recipes”. This right here taste identical to Starbucks. 🙌🙌 very easy to make you won’t be disappointed.
Side note, if you put your mixing container in the freezer for 5 mins, then add your cold foam mixture, then pop it back it in the freezer for 5/10 mins. Use your hand held mixer. You have the set up to mix a little longer and get whipped cream. 😊 enjoy your drinks.
Or you can eliminate the milk all together and just whip the whipping cream to make whipped cream. Add a stabilizing ingredient if you want the whipped cream to remain fluffy and not deflate for several days in the fridge.
@@nissan_skyline what stabilizing ingredient do you recommend? xanthan gum?
I truly appreciate your informative - simply stated - instructional video. I have been trying to come up with this recipe myself with other videos I've come across but have yet to get it right. Every video seems to add in a bunch of unnecessary steps and ingredients. This one was simple and tasted exactly like it should!!
My go-to recipe! I’ve shared this with so many friends and family and everyone loves it.
I’ve also used Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Vanilla powder to taste instead of the syrup and it’s amazing.
Thank you for sharing 🩵💞
I made this and it does taste just like Starbucks sweet cream foam. I substitute for vanilla for French vanilla. Also I would recommend whipping it for 15 to 20 seconds. I whipped mine for 30 seconds and it came out almost like whipped cream.
I just made this and it turned out so amazing tysm!! I work in a boba shop so I used some of the stuff we have there so I made it with a bit of vanilla bean paste, brown sugar syrup, & white chocolate syrup- so amazing!😻
Check the description box for alternative measurements for the syrup if you don't have a pump!
I'm excited to try this with different flavored syrups. My daughter got me red velvet cake syrup, and I think I'll try on a dark roast! Thanks!
That looks amazing! Thanks for sharing! I’m gonna try it!
Best tutorial I’ve seen for the cold foam🎉🎉🎉
So happy to find a fellow Canadian on UA-cam!!! I was like yes she’s Canadian as soon as I saw your Lucerne cream!!!
🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
I used pancake syrup and in my second batch I used honey and they both tasted so good! Just be careful how much pancake syrup you use. These where some good substitutes for me.
Sweetened condensed milk is a good sub!
@@yankgirl013 I didn't even think about that! Thanks!
At our Starbucks we made it just a bit differently, Ours was 300ml of vanilla syrup, 350ml of 2% and 1 liter of heavy cream. and just put it in a 2 liter pitcher.
The started charging 1.25 plus also any type of syrup. It’s insane. I’m gonna start doing it at home. So thank you.
Just made this, spot on perfect recipe. Just like Starbucks 👍
thank you so much for this recipe!! I’m definitely going to try it once I get vanilla syrup :)
Thank u!!! Love this recipe. 😀
I used some condensed milk instead of 2% milk and it came out nice and thick and sweet!!
Do you mind sharing your recipe?
@@mianguyen4834 Sure! I just whipped some whipping cream in my Nespresso Aeroccino, at the 1st max line, kind of eyeballing the amount I want in the end result and add like a tablespoon to a tbsp & a 1/2 of condensed milk. I sometimes added organic vanilla extract
Wow! This looks delicious, thanks for sharing it!
This looks DELICIOUS!
You are the greatest sweet heart thank you so much I'm addicted to this stuff
Girl, thank you for sharing!!💓
I tried it. You did an awesome job😍😍😍thank you
My favorite drink there. Thank you
Awesome 🎉 gonna try it this weekend ❤
Hope you enjoy
maple syrup and coconut/ oak cream is super good for a non dairy alternative
I will be trying this love starbucks thank you
This recipe is delish!!
So cool 😍🥰
I’m non dairy but this looks so good
Made with toasted coconut/almond milk in place of 2% milk-& top my homemade iced chai😋(Sadly no coffee for me since 1982😐)
1 liter whipping cream, 600 ml 2%, 350ml vanilla syrup
looks so yummy!! THANKS for the hack!! Barista sister!
Just made this for my girlfriend and if you use the starbucks vanilla syrup they sell at the store then it tastes exactly like what you get at starbucks.
Thank you for your great recipe
Came across your video and subscribed to your channel! That looks so good!
Thank you for subscribing!
@@coffeemama0 you're welcome!
Yum! My favorite
the whipping cream is an awesome idea! i tried with milk and just does not have that really great cream taste !
Awesomeness thank you going to try
If you guys don’t know you can buy a bottle of the vanilla syrup from Starbucks. If your trying to get it to taste exactly the same that is. There’s only a few syrups that we are able to sell. FYI
Wow no wonder it's so tasty
Could you measure the pumps of vanilla in cups ? I have the vanilla syrup but mine doesn’t come with a pump, and I’ve never been able to find one with a pump 😭
So I just measured it out for you! One pump of the syrup is equal to half a tablespoon. As for a pump, I've always had to buy mine separate. Starbucks sometimes carries them. Or you can try amazon!
Unfortunately, you have to buy the pump separately. They usually sell them off Amazon.
Half table spoon I think is around 7.5ml so 8pumps would be around 60ml. Will also try this when I go home. ☺️☺️
I'm going to be trying this! If I put it up on my channel ill make sure to credit you! ❤️
That'd be great thanks! Let me know what you think of it 😊
can you make a salted caramel version 😊
How long does the cream keep in the fridge?
Where do you get a cold brew “frother,” or it looks like a hand mixer. I’ve been a home barista for years yet been unable to figure cold brew froth. I only need this hand device, can you tell me how/where to get one?
2 percent milk not necessary guys regular milk is fine and also simple syrup not necessary u can use maple syrup or ur pancake syrup or any sweetner u can even put 4 table spoon of powder sugar yeah alot of the utube forget to mention alts.
Thanks for sharing!
How long can you store it for?
I have the same exact frother that came with the little metal thing but mine doesn’t get thick like that hmmmmm
Omg will try
great recipe! easy to make at home thanks for this :)
Finally! Right on the spot & I used lactose free milk
I just use half-and-half and homemade vanilla syrup. Way cheaper and tastes great.
thank you
Starbucks recipe for a large batch:
1L Vanilla
1800 ml of 2% milk
3 L heavy cream
Exactly how I make mine, minus the milk 😋 delish
thank you so much 👍
Yum yum yum!! Thanks for sharing.
I was a barista at Starbucks and this was the exact recipe we used
Really? I had no idea! It was really just trial and error for me to get the perfect taste and consistency haha
If you’re watching this, give this recipe a try, this coffee mama knows what she’s doin. Sumthin tells me she’s rly hott too so that’s a plus also
Pumpkin cream cold brew next !😁
It's on my list next!! I'm perfecting the recipe as we speak 🤞
🤤🤤🤤thank you 😍
I LOVE YOUR PAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I don’t have any syrup, could I just add in some vanilla flavoring and sugar?
I never saw you put a dark mixture in glass!
I wonder how much coffee? 1 cup?
🔥🔥
Could you add pumpkin spice syrup instead of vanilla syrup and make it like a pumpkin foam?
You totally can! Whatever flavor syrup you use is gonna be the taste of the cream/foam. I actually think Starbucks might do this too. 🤔🙂
It might taste similar to pumpkin cream! I'm actually going to be recording a recipe on how to make a pumpkin cream cold brew but I want to make sure I'm getting the recipe just right before I send it out to all of you!
Can you use alternative milk?
I’m here after Starbucks starting forcing me to tip 😂
I don't have heavy whipping cream
Hey thanks for sharing. I have followed your receipe but but it doesn"t thicken like your foam crean.... do you have any suggestion? Thank you advanced
I decided to use blender BUT it gets really thick that floam just seats on top. The flother I am using is not strong enough and that is why I used blender. hmmm.. can you tell me what kind od flother you are using? Thank you
How do you store this?
i followed this to a t but it's still the consistency of milk with bubbles. Could my frother be the issue? it warmed it up slightly so assume that kept it from thickening.
It could be because you warmed it up so try frothing it up when all the ingredients are cold! Also if my frother is low on battery it won't froth it up to where it's a thick foam.
@@coffeemama0 I tried it with a French press and got great results. My arm was tired but it worked haha
Which cold brew ?
You said you keep it stored but do you froth it all at once and save or save it liquid form then froth it up when using it little at a time?
I take a small portion and froth it in a cup each time I want to use it on my coffee 😊
Can you use vanilla extract instead
One question what did you do with the rest of the whipping cream mix, it seems like you used only half of what was in the the glass bottle.
She said she makes it in big batches
can u put peppermint extract in the cold foam or peppermint syrup? I love ice vanilla latte with peppermint cold foam
What is a good at home coffee to use with this?
Verve Coffee
When did u do the coffee?????‽??????
I love this way of making it but one cup of heavy whipping cream is almost 500 calories 😭😢😫 I’m on a calorie deficit. Does anyone have another less cal method that tastes just as good?
***800 cal
If your just making a small batch for one drink to use in your frother, how much of each ingredient do you use
How many table spoons is 8-10 pumps
I need this for my matcha latte 😁
Yummy
Hi.. What is replacement for half n half
Does it have to ve 2% milk??
How long will this last in the fridge?
Hey! Usually up to 3 days. I would recommend just froth it again, it’ll bring it back to life. Hope this helps!
Maybe she’ll want me after this
I don’t have a pump for the syrup, so how many tablespoons of the syrup would you suggest?
