I'm also a T2, I lowered my A1C is just 3 months from 7.1 to 5.6. My doctor was so pleased and asked what I was doing (no medications). Stay as low carb as possible and definitely avoid sugars! You can do it! I'm still working on it. Fell off the wagon at the holidays and struggling to get back on track. I miss not feeling hungry or achy however so those are good motivators for me! I am T1 diabetic. At one time, my eating habits were so bad I was taking large doses of insulin every 2 hours. I'm a pro Baker, cake designer with a big sweet tooth. But, i was literally and surely killing myself. I decided my life was more important than those foods. I am the only one responsible for what goes in my mouth. So, with that frame of mind, I jumped right in. No, cheat days, no just one bite won't hurt, no excuses! That was 4 years ago, 50 lbs lost, A1c perfect, blood sugar perfect. Your health needs to be top priority and losing weight is the bonus. You've got this, no negativity, no doubts,, no excuses...Just do it! ❤
@@KetoBaker007 I struggle with the "just one bite won't hurt me" thing I can't lie. And that one bite always turns into 2 or 3 or more and also causes more hunger and cravings. It is very much NOT worth it. There are times when I hit plateaus and my husband convinces me to have a cheat meal. If I'm able to have just one cheat meal it does work and help me get through the plateau, the issue is allowing it to be just the ONE MEAL and not going hog wild. 😒 It is hard being so super strict ALLLLLLL THE TIME. But it truly is the best.

I saw this on a short today you made. I do not generally like fat head dough but I am gonna try this with substituting a homemade low carb alfredo sauce instead of the pizza sauce. This is how I also make pizza. Not a traditional red sauce pizza fan. I know not American to not like pizza LOL These look great though 🙂

This dough looks very similar to her past Keto Calzone dough and those you can absolutely prep and immediately throw them in the freezer to bake later. ^ What we do is we make a bunch of them, throw em in the freezer but the last few we made we cook right then and there for that day's dinner. Then on any lazy days we have convenient Calzones/Hotpockets that we can just bake. We have reheated them after baking too and that also works well, this keto dough is awesome stuff.
I'm doing something wrong... followed the recipe exactly, but I couldn't get the cheese and dry ingredients to incorporate like yours, it was just a cheese ball with almond flour falling off lol (same thing happened when I tried fat head dough). Could it be that I'm using pre-shredded mozz?
Just get dimensions though, as I know sometimes 1 cup almond flour might not equal 1 cup of coconut flour. At least that’s what I’ve seen in some keto recipes anyway. Hope this helps!
15oz Tomato Sauce and 6oz (or around that) Tomato Paste, season with a lot of Italian Seasoning/Oregano to taste. (Exact recipe I use from her other video) 2, 6oz Cans of Tomato Paste, 2, 15oz Cans of Tomato Sauce, 2 Table Spoons of Oregano, 5 Table Spoons of Italian Seasoning 1 Tea Spoon of Garlic Powder 1 Tea Spoon of Onion Powder 1 Tea Spoon of Salt 1/2 Tea Spoon of black pepper 2 Tea Spoons of zero carb sweetener (we use erythritol) Cook over Medium heat until it 'boils' (idk what boil in this context looks like, hard to tell but it will certainly start to pop as sauce tends to do), then reduce heat and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
It’s a typical Fathead dough. You could swap out the almond flour, for sunflower flour, sesame flour, lupin flour, or coconut flour - but cut the ratio 1 to 4… so perhaps just 2 tab coconut flour- as it’s extremely absorbent. Hope this helps 😊
