One of my favorite movies was the “ Lomg, Lomg Trailer” starring Lucille Ball. I’ m not going to lie, I enjoy the film not only for who’s in it, but the decor attire, and trailer.
Hi Miss Laci! I'm a huge fan of your channel... I watch a lot, but don't really comment so often, but I just had to leave you a comment to say please keep on being your awesome vintage self! 💕 I also wanted to tell you that you are such a joyful, inspiring lady...beautiful on the inside, and also while watching you do your makeup, I see how naturally gorgeous and beautiful you are without any makeup at all, and you are so glamorous all done up... a win-win for you! 💖 I am an ex-cosmetologist / beautician 💇🏼♀️💅... Actually, I got into that many years ago, when they still had shampoo & sets hair styles, which is what I really loved to do, but when they came out with blow dryers & curling irons, it just wasn't as much fun anymore.... so off to the office I went... Now, I'm retired, so I have plenty of time to watch a lotta UA-cam... and you are indeed one of my most favorite channels! 💕 I admire your lovely vintage style so very much... I also love the 1950's Mid-Century Atomic style📺✴🚀 , so I always love seeing what unique finds you come up with. Oh, and I also adore your kitties, especially Mr. Johnny Cash! 😎🐱💗🎸🎙 Anyway, just a little comment to hopefully brighten up your day! Hearts & Hugs, Sherri 😍👧💗
I’m so happy that I came across your channel because watching your styles of dresses 👗 reminds me of watching my mom as I grew up unfortunately she passed away 3 years ago at the age of 83 years old she was born in 1935 and she wore red lipstick 💄 to almost the end of her life . So I will continue to watch you because I like your videos and it bring happiness to my heart ❤️ and I have always loved those years when women dressed up like women and always looked amazing. I was born in 1956 and it was different the styles of clothes and hairstyles were so different. The music I always listen to is 1940’s & 1950’s music 👍🏼. I just wanted to share a little about me ♥️
My Aunt Doris wore her hair like this all the way through the eighties. It was fun reminiscing and seeing how you go about creating the look. I couldn’t have imagined it.
Loved this airstream van vid,,,it was like sharing a girly ,chatt and makeup time,,,,such fun ,would love see you make another,,,such a cool little place,❤️😀
I’ve lived in salt lake my whole life and love it! I just happened to come across your channel the other day and I’m hooked! I’ve always loved vintage fashion, but have never dressed in it. I think the dresses and gowns are just so beautiful and ladylike. I would love to check out Decades. I’ve never heard of it before. You did a beautiful job on your hair style and makeup, and your skin is flawless!
Your skin - OMW - looks dewy and translucent and just gorgeous and your makeup looks so natural and flattering (all your makeup does) but your skin :) :)
I live in Layton Utah and I loved watching you get ready today. Super cool and I am a hard core thrifting kind of girl. I love the treasure hunt. Thanks for letting us take a pick into your vintage life. Super cool. 💋💋💋
Hi🙋♀️.......supper happy to see your Chanel come up again. I watched you about a year ago and through phones and UA-cam I lost you. Loved all the 👗 🥻 dresses. Also love ❤ your 🐈 cats!! Johnny Cash was my most favorite singer.❤🧡💛💚Thanks Laci 🤗Theresa
Laci, you are a joy to watch! You can talk about anything, I would watch and listen. I was off yesterday and stumbled across your channel. I’ve been binge watching since then. My dream too is to own a Vintage Airstream and travel across the US. Please continue your great videos. Can you do a tutorial on your brow shaping? Also, have you done a video on “at home vintage spa day”? I think that would be great!! Especially since many are stuck indoors. Thank you again.
I want to do a vintage road trip when I retire and travel through the old Route 66. 10 years ago we drove to Las Vegas from Illinois but we were on Route 44. I want to do it again but this time take my time and enjoy the scenery.
I know you cannot travel in your airstream these days, but how fun would it be to follow you and your family along with your vintage-ness. Give us a tour of that airstream plz!
I am sure you have seen it, but if you haven’t watch, The Long, long, long trailer with Lucy and Dezi. Super movie, one of my favorites from one of my favorite teams. Not sure how I had come across you today, but yet here you are. These videos and your lifestyle is amazing. You found your niche and you went with it! I love it. Still looking for mine.
I have to say I love that you work at a movie theater and have since you were 16! That seems to go in line with your vintage lifestyle and it's so unusual that you still work there. I have a special relationship to art and film specifically and I would be elated to arrive at a theater and see you there! I don't go to movies much b/c I have to be drawn to the film and I also don't do well with crowds or moving things (like escalators) and that's how all the theaters are here in NYC. But I grew up in the suburbs so I had that experience of going to small theaters and I feel like movie-going is an experience in and of itself and just seeing you there probably makes it more fun for so many people b/c you're so colorful. I feel like it would almost be like seeing a princess at Disney world. And I can tell you love it, which I'm sure people notice and appreciate! This is very long lol so I'll just say if it moves you to do more chatty grwm vids, I'd definitely be interested in how you got into vintage, who you were in h.s. and how vintage relates to your personality and/or the way you fit into the world. Also, that outfit is stunning! I love contrast and the grey (silver?) and red really brought out your makeup and hair! Just gorgeous!
Ahh yes!! A lot of our guests say that they look forward to seeing me when they come to the theater and that warms my heart. Those are all great suggestions. I will keep those in mind for future videos for sure. You are so sweet. Thank you my dear!!
Wow, you look amazing even without makeup! You are naturally pretty. You do such flawless makeup. The vintage look really suits you......Love your channel as well....
I love old stuff! It has quality and character and interest. I love antiquing & going to the Goodwill and the flea market. Such fun !!! You look so cute in that old trailer! I enjoy seeing you go out. Maybe you could go to a 1950 diner. You are a blast from the past!
You have such a awesome personality and I love your vintage style. I don’t have the clothes or hair but maybe I will someday. I do have a 1925 cottage with tons of vintage. A mid century hutch with Pyrex. Corningware, and milk glass are in my kitchen used daily and mixed with Pioneer Woman and sprinkled with Strawberry Shortcake. Vintage radio collection (4 so far) and a record player. Salt and pepper collection Christmas and Halloween collection, shiplap exposed wall and vintage curtains ( yes I agree they are htf) And some heavy Disney trading pin collection My main house colors are turquoise and red And our house is named cozy cottage. And I have a vintage washer and dryer. Currently working on a vintage fridge to restore I have a old ford truck of my grandpas and am searching for the perfect turquoise or red canned ham camper to go with it one day!!! I enjoy your videos and you inspire me to hit those thrift stores more than I already do !!!
I would definitely like to see more videos like this, it’s so fascinating watching you do your makeup and hair while we learn little things about you. I loved when you came out of the door at the end, you made that Airstream look even cooler than it already was. I’m actually a big coffee drinker, but I love sweet iced tea, we make it every day. If I drink hot tea, it’s usually either Chinese tea at a restaurant, or Earl Gray or Sleepytime if I’m home.
I adore vintage trailers and caravans. You should get a small one in your backyard and use it as a studio. I love tea ☕️ ‘teapigs chamomile tea’ is my very favourite. But I like orange pekoe loose tea it’s a traditional black tea very widely Available in the 1930s and 40s.
That is an excellent idea!!! I must make this happen! Oh I haven’t tried orange pekoe. We have an orange black tea in the shop I wonder if it’s similar.
I love Celestial Seasoning’s Bengal Spice. I like it strong with cream. Yummy! It was fun watching you do your hair and makeup. I never learned any of this stuff so it’s a real tutorial. I always wondered how the 40s movie stars set their hair-it’s a great combo of structured and natural. Also those little modeling moves are so cute. Thank you!
Missed the live premiere, so commenting along with the video! -The lighting in the beginning with your reflection is just STUNNING! You're such a midc-entury dream! -YES need to see you in a vintage car and trailer on a big vintage adventure thrifting across the States! -Really excited for a few movies this season, especially Frozen! Always wondered why people go to the movies on Christmas?! I could see day after or the weekend, but on Christmas day?! lol -YEY, loveee the vintage weekly challenges! -Awww so sad the tea store is closing! -Would love to see more GRWM! -Aww was hoping your hubby would make it in the video, but he always does so great filming!
Thanks so much Lindsey!! I could hardly open my eyes it was so bright haha. Omg wouldn’t that just be the coolest road trip ever?! Maybe I could get some sponsors 🤔. We could travel clear across the country and visit you guys! Then you and Jonas could come along for the East coast part of the tour!! Ahh!! I will try to do more GRWM. It’s hard for me to do them and keep it within a reasonable amount of time! Haha this one is long! Oh yeah. I should’ve made him pop in!! He helped me film the intro and ending, but he left while I was filming the main part of the video. Haha. He doesn’t like to be on camera. I’m going to make him one of these days!! Thanks for watching my friend!!!
@@LaciFayTheVintageGirlNextDoor ahhh yesss, we have a dream of doing a travel show to Charming places and people so that would be the dream of dreams!!! Let's work on those sponsors😉
The RV looks awesome! I’m thinking that it’s not for me though! I am going to look for that cottage or the bread and breakfast idea! The store sounds fun! That’s what I would like!
What a fun idea to stay in an Airstream. We do not do movies on Christmas day, but usually do go to the movies sometime over Christmas holidays. All the new movies are out so it is so fun. Is your movie theater shut down now (April 2020) due to the pamdemic? Love seeing how you do your makeup.
Love, love, love the Airstream! Question: what brand of fountain do you use? What was the highlighter in the tube? I use Tarte which is the only one that I found that does not smear my mascara! TFS...great video.
I was thinking the same thing... when you stepped out of the airstream.... it was like watching "I love Lucy"... Laci Fay... You look absolutely amazing!!!
Oh I loved this tutorial & chat! It would be so kewl to own one of those Streamline Trailers! Watching you all I could think of was Lucille Ball & Desi Arnaz in “The Long Long Long Trailer “ a movie I love! Love your channel & as always you’re adorable Laci💖
Laci Fay The Vintage Girl Next Door we’ll old movies are my passion & Lucille Ball is in my top 10 actresses hope you check it out it’s adorable also if you haven’t seen the other one of my favorite Lucy & Desi movies check out “Forever Darling” they really had incredible chemistry
@@LaciFayTheVintageGirlNextDoor You will absolutely love "The Long, Long Trailer"! It is one of my favorite movies and I am in awe with the trailers and all their beauty!
Love that movie too! I instantly thought about it the moment she said, (and I'm sure I'm paraphrasing...😉) "picture a vintage car pulling a vintage trailer across country..." I was like I hope it won't be like the movie The Long Long Trailer! 😂😂😂
I love watching you do your makeup; I learn so much from your technique and I’ve bought several of the products you use - Maybelline Long Wear lipstick is a miracle!! And you can just talk about anything... I love listening to you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦🇺🇸❤️❤️❤️❤️
Loved this GRWM vid, Laci! I wouldn't know what to talk about if it were me bc I usually sing along to music while I'm getting ready but you did good!! My bday is also on the 7th just like your hubby!! Thanks for sharing about your fun trip, the lovely trailer you stayed in and chatting about your life. It was like chatting with an old friend. One of my fave teas is also peppermint but I also like Tazo's organic apple and cinnamon & Earl grey, but I'm more of a coffee gal. Can't wait for more future GRWM vids!
My 1st Christmas day movie was 1989 "Die Hard"! So before it became a Christmas thing, my Jewish friends did it with their family to avoid all the Christmas festivities and I think Jehovah witness too but I didn't know any at that time. I pray we can all go back to work soon and enjoy the movies.
Love the vid! 💕 I'm definitely a tea drinker...herbal tea is the best! Green Tea is my go to! 😊 Btw...you remind me so much of Rachel Maksy! She's a vintage gal too, and you guys really favor each other...in looks and personality! She's on YT too! 😊
I'm obsessed with watching this video. First, you need to demonstrate how you tie up your hair, and what kind of rollers are you wearing? Secondly, what kind of make-up sponge are you using? 🙋
So beautiful!!! I used to style my hair "vintage" 50s inspired and do the red lip. I did it almost every day for work. People even started calling me Rosie (Rosie the Riveter) I slowly stopped for whatever reason. I still love this style so much and follow several vintage style youtubers. You inspire me to start up again. I'm definitely hooked on your channel! 💜💜💜
Another great video! Do you have any tips for ladies with thinner, fine hair? I can't seem to get the volume to do pin curls or victory rolls. I need help!
You look great with and without makeup love it 😊 happy I found your channel love the classic looks and Betty Paige can’t wait to check out more videos so far I love your videos when you show the great outfits you find you give hope for thrift store shopping 🙏🏾 💕
Wonderful video . You look so lovely . I am a big tea drinker . I live in The Canadian Maritimes , so tea is a staple . My favorite is King Cole , which I believe is only available in The Maritimes . I put sugar and tin milk in mine . I used to put 2 tsp's of sugar in , but I have reduced to 1 tsp . I loved this video and hearing of your mini break . Thanks for sharing
Oh my gosh you are so darn cute! I just love your dress, hair and makeup, as always. I always look forward to seeing your hairstyle and makeup videos. This was such a fun and unique get-ready-with-me video, being in the Airstream BNB. I wish there were a place like that around here. Thank you for all the links. I'm sorry the Little Tearoom you work at is closing. It makes me sad when privet shops like that close their doors.
Ahh thanks so much my dear!! I’m so glad you liked the video! Of course! I want to get better with linking things for you guys. Yes I’m so sad about it! Meanwhile we have 2 Starbucks in our little town 🤔
You have such beautiful skin. You can get away with almost no makeup. My mom was a housewife of the 60s. She wore lipstick and just a little blush (rouge) sometimes. Not much. And shaped her eyebrows. Hair was the main thing. That was just about it. The main rule was never leave the house without lipstick.
Gorgeous hair do's.. I'm a Cosmetologist since 1996...(just fyi NEVER put 30 or 40% peroxide on your scalp that's Beauty School 101. Just a firm friendly warn'n). Lov your outfits too yes please keep sharing. I just started dress'n vintage it's a blast! I live not far from Dallas so I find Alot, Yep Wish I could buy all I find too.
Maybe I haven’t been able to look at all your videos which I haven’t haha but do you think you and your husband will get a vintage trailer to pull behind your beautiful classic car ? Like a 50s or 60s trailer. Just to add to more of your fabulous amazing collection of vintage items I wish I had one I would gift it to you.
I loved when i worked in the theatre. Christmas was my fav day to work. U got to see the bored families, frazzled parents and ppl with no families all in one day.
One of my favorite movies was the “ Lomg, Lomg Trailer” starring Lucille Ball. I’ m not going to lie, I enjoy the film not only for who’s in it, but the decor attire, and trailer.

There are a group of ladies who have vintage trailers that have a meetup every year. The trailers are so cute

How have I not seen that movie?! I’ll have to check it out. Thanks so much babe!! You’re so sweet. I’m so glad you liked this type of video!
Please do a video tour of your airstream! I'd love to see all the vintage details.
This isn’t my trailer. We stayed here as an Airbnb.
Oh I’m so glad! Thanks beauty!!
Oh I’m so glad you liked it!! Ahh yay! Happy belated birthday! Hope you had a fun day! Ooo apple and cinnamon sounds delicious!
I'm definitely a tea drinker...herbal tea is the best! Green Tea is my go to! 😊
Btw...you remind me so much of Rachel Maksy! She's a vintage gal too, and you guys really favor each other...in looks and personality! She's on YT too! 😊
Thank you! Oh yes I know Rachel 😊
Thanks so much babe!!
We always go to a movie the weekend after Thanksgiving. My family is full of movie buffs!
Another great video! Do you have any tips for ladies with thinner, fine hair? I can't seem to get the volume to do pin curls or victory rolls. I need help!
Love this video! So cute! You definitely need that airstream in your life! 🥰
Thanks babe!! Ahh right?! I need a vintage trailer!
Loved this! Thanks for the hair tutorial!!
Of course!! So glad you enjoyed it!
What is GRWM? I’m new to this, so glad I found you! I was born in 1955, love the 50’s!
It means “Get Ready With Me”
You look great with and without makeup love it 😊 happy I found your channel love the classic looks and Betty Paige can’t wait to check out more videos so far I love your videos when you show the great outfits you find you give hope for thrift store shopping 🙏🏾 💕
What kind of blending brush did you use? It looks so great!! I can never find a good blending brush- thanks💟
I love the red plaid bedding. I got same on my bed .lol .so awesome.😀
I love the twinings ginger lemon tea lately ... I'm a big ginger fan. ♥️
Oh yes! I have a loose leaf tea I love that is a blend of peppermint, ginger, and licorice root. Yum!
I wanted to see the trailer!! Darn
P.S. I love your get ready with me videos , so Yes would love to see more of these
I’m from Salt Lake! We live in Layton. I’m a new subbie, love your channel!

No, I don't go to the movies on the holidays.
So glad you enjoyed!
Love the movies
I'm not going until Covid vaccine
Have never been on Thanksgiving or Christmas day but friends do
Love watching you do makeup
Love the travel trailer. 🌸
That sleeping beauty eye shadow pallet is over $100.00.
😳 It is beautiful though. Did they ever have it on sale?
I love your foundation and concealer what brand is that? You have absolutely beautiful skin.
You need to start getting people to sponsor you. Your makeup and you can think it up. I would buy it
Oh my gosh you are so darn cute!
Thank you! Ahh yes! I feel naked without my lipstick 😂
I still follow that lipstick rule!!
You are very beautiful, and so is the music! Thank you kindly.
It’s such a fun place to work!
I want to see more of the trailer hahaha
